  1. That is incorrect. When the coach's talked there was nothing said about the actual day they were playing. According to Grace they were told earlier that weekend that LV AD agreed to play Tuesday and heard nothing else. When the two coaches talked each coach assumed the other knew the day and neither mentioned the day. The only thing that was mentioned was the time of the game. It was mostly handled at the AD level and as far as everyone knew at Grace it had been changed and we were not told otherwise by anyone at LV. Again, this is a very strange, weird, rare situation and neither school needs to be pointing fingers because there is bigger things than baseball and one of those bigger things was the incident last Friday. They are both playing and as far as I know Grace is covering umps for this game. Good luck to both and like I said if LV is the one that moves on they are still the team I'm rooting for...until then GO GRACE!
  2. I don't think they were told on there end by the higher up dealing with the situation and possible date change. If their coach didn't know then he was not told by the person in charge of the change. As far as fans from Grace, they must have been alumni that read in the paper cuz most already knew it had been changed to Tuesday. Its a crazy situation and very unfortunate, especially with the preparations LV goes through to be great hosts of a home game, but I think this is one that again needs to be put to rest.
  3. They didn't not show with intentions of forfeiting...they believed the game was changed to Tuesday and that both parties agreed in respects to allowing the team to be there during the viewing as well as participating in the region tournament. Grace has the upmost respect for LV and their program and I'm very positive that this was not done to hurt LV. Hopefully this can be put behind so that not only everyone from Grace can move on but that also Grace and LV and continue their relationship. Good luck tomorrow and if LV ends up on the better end of tomorrow's game then I will be rooting for you as you move on. GOOD LUCK GRACE!
  4. Everyone at Grace was under the impression everything was confirmed and changed to Tuesday due to the events that happened over the weekend. Tonight was the viewing of the young man from Grace that was killed in the car accident and the funeral is tomorrow morning so everyone here thought it was Tuesday. No they weren't supposed to play. Grace forfeited the district championship games on Saturday due to the accident automatically making them the number 2 seed to face LV.
  5. Incorrect, Grace plays at LV at 6:00 Tuesday night.
  6. It's an error. DB 1 and Grace 2. Grace cancelled the games vs. DB because of a tragic accident which killed a Grace student. Please be in prayer for the family and school.
  7. Grace beat SD 7-6 in a good, hard fought game. Tomorrow Grace plays DB at 2:30.
  8. Nope, if weather allows they will continue play tomorrow and continue the double elimination as long as weather doesn't cancel. Copper plays SD today and Grace plays DB today.
  9. So far everything is still double elimination. If games after tomorrow get rained out then DB and Grace go, winner of that game gets higher seed.
  10. Grace won 8-1...controlled the whole game although it was close most the game....3-1 going into 7th and Grace put together a solid 5 run inning. Rose pitched a very good game.
  11. It is up to each individual district. In your district's case "Rookie420" it looks as if they are saying that if higher seed's field isn't ready but other field is then they must travel.
  12. The only thing it will come down to is which team comes to play. If Grace comes to play their game SD doesn't match up to them. But its been proven that anyone can beat Grace if they don't come to play. If they play their game then Grace will be fine.
  13. I think the fact that Grace has more success in more of the sports makes it to where people focus on only the negative. I think you will find positive and negative people at all schools if you really focus on everyone. But the fact Grace has been dominant in more of the sports in 5a people just see them as cocky and don't see any positive. Yes, DB is much better at baseball and that is great (still want to know what they have coming up outside of Williams). But there are some basketball games in past few years where I know DB fans have been kicked out of because of their behavior. Not saying all people at Grace are perfect but please don't make Grace to be the school that is cocky and has no class. There are great people at DB, as well as Temple and SD, but Grace has some great people also and I would say the people in charge are nothing close to cocky. Good luck in your school move and even if your kid does go to DB best of luck to him there.
  14. If he is "helping" coach baseball he sure doesn't feel the need to help during a game. He was at neither game that Grace played, not even the one at Copper.
  15. Coach Kidd is not the coach at Copper. CSAS lost a couple big leftys and are down this year. Grace handled them during a pre season scrimmage. They have a lefty who plays CF who is pretty solid but not much outside of him. It was still 2 big wins for Silverdale but don't compare CSAS and the solid team they've had the last couple years to CSAS now.
