Casey is a good player, I have no doubt about that. I don't know beavo, but I like him. Hes my kinda Choctaw fan. Im alittle biased in my opinions of my Choctaws, but I mean well. I'm not here to bash anyone on here just give my honest opinion. If I have offended anyone I'm sorry , didn't mean to do that. If we lose the next two games i will not pout,we have had a great year. A very unexpected year for sure. Any wins after tuesday night game is icying on the cake. If we lose the next two we deserve to be home watching like the rest that are at home watching. All you DC haters are waiting to pounce on us when we do lose, its obivious from your remarks. So when it happens bring it own we can take it.

I understand Casey had a great 4th quarter, but I also know our players had backed off of him, because we were in foul trouble. From what I understand he had a bunch of free uncontested shots at the basket. What happen to him in the first quarter, when we were guarding him, one point I think. If I'm a scout watching that I'm not impressed at all. D1 you got to be kidding me?

All I know is Mr Casey Prathers or aka Mr Superstar D1 player is sitting at home the rest of the season. I wonder if any of the scouts were at the game tuesday night. I wonder if they were impressed with him that night, I doubt it. Really to tell the truth the coach lost this one for them, by leaving him in the game with 2 fouls, early in the first quarter. Just my observation, and i was listening on the radio. One thing is for sure, I will see alot more of him next year, and then I will give my opinion on him then. As for now my opinion stays the same. I'm not bashing him at all just giving my opinion. I'm pretty sure he is thinking about how he played and what could have happened had he had played differently.

Congrats to BT and their big win over Sheffield. BT, you are not flying under my radar, I have been keeping a close watch on your team. I'm very impressed with your wins and I know ya'll play a tuff schedule. If we win tonight , we will not play each other until we meet at the Murphy Center. To tell the truth GCPioneer I haven't seen him play, yet. A good friend of mine who watches alot of basketball told me after the game, he didn't think he was D1 material. My friend told me Casey needed to grow some more and get bigger and improve his play time, to develope into a D1 player. My friend said Casey was a good player, could handle the ball well, just not a great player. I do trust my friends judgement. We all have our own scale that we judge players by, and if anyone believes Casey is D1 player that is their opinion, and I'm not going to argue one way or the other. I'm not going to start name calling and say that that person should never post again, just because they think he is D1 player. I respect their opinion, but will not lower myself to name calling, just not my nature. My friend and me just don't believe he is ready to suitup and play D1 right now, is what I'm trying to get across. Some folks don't believe that , and that is cool with me, I respect their opinion. We can just agree to disagree.

Time to put our game faces on, and come out firing on all cylinders. Lets keep the sub-state game at home. One more win secures that HOME field advantage. "GO BIG ORANGE"

I'll be the first one to admit I was wrong, if I am wrong. I could be dead wrong, maybe I'm being too critical of him. Time will tell. Next year he should carry his team to the promise land, if hes as good as ya'll say he is.. D1 players are supposed to do that, you know.

If Casey Prather was a D1 player, he would have carried his team to victory last night. He is not D1 material, yet. He is not mature enough, if he was,he would not have got into foul trouble and caused his team to get too far behind. Look I know a D1player when I see one, and he is not D1 material. I'm not saying the guy can't play ball, but he wasn't any better than the players on DC's team. Ya'll Casey Prather lovers built this guy up way too much. It's very possible Casey can get to be D1 material, but he is not there , yet. Let's just wait and see where he goes after next year, I'm almost sure I'm right on this one. D1 players are hard to come by, and I just didn't see it in him last night. D1 players come up big in big games and Casey didn't do it last night . With the right coach he can be a D1 player by next year, if he works hard enough.

This game went exactly like DC wanted it to go. The game plan was to get Casey in foul trouble and that is what happen, plan and simple. Casey is not D1 material ,by the way. You can not be for sure, if he would have scored anymore points. He missed a ton of shots in my opinion. He tried to do too much. He is nowhere close to the BT player DC faced in substate afew years back, no way,shape, or form. He is not there , yet. Casey might get there, but he is not there yet. Bethal or Freed Hardeman would be a good fit for him, as of today. Casey need to improve alot more to be a D1 player.

"WOW" what a game. DC had a 20 point lead early in the game, but NS keep peckin away at the lead. DC lead the whole game. Prather had 17 point, 16 in the 4th quarter. Prather got into foul trouble in the first quarter and had to sit out for awhile. Big John Hudson had 21 and Big Ced had 13 for DC /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> . The Long kid had 20 for NS. Way to go Choctaws, I knew you could do it. Very interesting stat to me. That is with DC playing 10 more games than NorthSide. DC for sure has a legitiment shot at winning this game, no matter who there star player is. This game will be a good one for sure. I like DC's chances. For one reason they have played at Gibson County a few times and NorthSide has not. If you have not played at a certain place, it could be alittle different and get your timming off. Most teams adjust, so we will see how it goes. I also think we have a stronger bench than NorthSide. They go 8 deep, DC goes 12 deep, this could be a big factor in the third and forth quarter. Fresh legs in the 2nd half is a big factor in my opinion. NorthSide has a taller team than us, but that has not bothered us in the past. Should be an interesting game. "GO BIG ORANGE"

This is what I been sayin all year. Free throws are going to be our down fall. If we don't improve drasticly. Everyone shoots the ball a different way. Need to teach them the same tecnique. In my opinion, Big Ced has the best tecnique, just shoots alittle to hard some times. We have got to get a body on them three point shooter, too. Getting back fast in transition is going to be key, agains North Side. But, one thing you can't take away from us is HEART. We are going to fight, scratch, and claw till the end. Covington, Jackson NS, Haywood, and Fayette Ware are all very good quality teams. Theses 4 teams have beat each other up all year. I believe they are all equal in talent. In my opinion, not putting any team down, I think the top three teams in 14 AA will prevail friday night. I hope DC will bring their A game friday night, because that is what it's going to take to prevail. Haywood is a very dangerous team. I like our chances at Home. It goes from 64 teams to 32 Feburary 28. Good luck and may the best teams win.

This was suppose to a rebuilding year for Dyer County, but they have been a big surprise to everyone here in West Tn. They have three freshmen and a junior that get alot of playing time. They do not play like freshmen, they are quick and very good at handling the ball. They all can score. Dyer County has two big men that get some playing time. One is a junior transfer from Halls who is 6'4" or 6'5". His name is Cedric Janes and he is a presense in the paint. DC didn't have a big man last year. We also still have two dynamic point guards in CJ and Rex who run the offense , who are seniors. Coach McCord has about five or six players that come off the bench and get alot of playing time. You better have a strong bench when you play DC, because they will run you ragged. Some teams have tried to slow them down, but have not been able to do so. With all that said, they will have a tuff time getting out of the region this year. 13 AA & 14 AA is loaded with talent. After that, then you have to go through the talented Memphis teams to get to State. It's going to be a very tuff roll to hoe. Good luck to everyone and I hope to see ya'll at the "Boro."

I am so glad this is our last year in 13AA. The 13AA coaches need to do away with the all district awards and Coach of the Year award, because it's all bogus. If you are not going to give the awards to the ones who deserve them, then what is the point. Coach McCord has had an impressive 3 year record of 93 wins and 10 losses, and the other coaches don't have the courage to give him at least one award in three years. Westview gets 4 awards to our 3, after we beat them 4 times. Come on people this is not fair. This just didn't happen last night, it's been going on for years. Coach Hopkins didn't get any awards either, and he has had some great teams. So you have got to see the frustration has been building for years. DC fans are fed-up with 13AA coaches and there buddy system. It is a joke and a disgrace to District 13AA.
