DC Choctaws may be a surprise team this year. They have lost a few key players, but they have alot comming back who got alot of playing time. It will be interesting to see how well they will respond to new coach. They have a good group of guys there that can play well. They will stay with the west coast offence. Should be exciting to watch. They will be very competive.

There is a new kid comming in from junior high that will help the team next year. He is at Three Oaks Middle School, a feeder school in Dyer Co. He is already dunking the ball,they say he will be as good as Hubbs. Don't know for sure about that, I haven't seen him play yet, time will tell. The well is not dry yet!!!

Ridgeway pays Southwind back with a 68-56 win last night...Should be a great District tournament next week?

The Penny Hardeway people were in Dyer County High School last night. They were looking at our gym. They seemed to be happy with what they saw. They may let Dyer Co. host the Penny Hardeway Hoopfest this year. Maybe sometime around Thanksgiving. Schools from all over the country will come to play some round ball. Will let you know when I find out more info.

Robert Hubbs really showed what he can do last night. He was awesome last night. The four dunks and the last WheelHouse dunk brought the crowd to their feet. He is a special player in my opinion. This kid can do it all, and score from anywhere on court. Also on a special note: The Penny Hardeway people were here last night to look at our gym. Thy are looking at maybe letting us host the Penny Hardeway Hoopfest this year. Schools from all over the country will be in our gym to play some round ball. That is awesome to me.

Tey got into alittle trouble at school. Got kicked off the team, I believe.

I just want to give you something to think about. Hubbs made the 1000 pts. club at DC and did it in only 2 years and 3 games into his high school career. Just wonder how many players have made the 1000 pts. club that fast. He really has been putting on a show at DC the last few games. This kid is the best ever at DC right now.

WhiteStation is the team to beat out of Memphis. Dyer C0. has to go through a few Memphis teams to get to the Boro. The only chance they have is if they can get the Sub-State game at home. They have got to learn to play their game against these powerful Memphis teams to have a chance at the Gold Ball. They played WhiteStation at the Fedex last month and looked scared and intimidated. They are a better team than what they showed that day. If the real team shows up, Dyer Co. can play with anyone.

Mr Big...they were down by 17 at the most. Came back in the 4th quarter to tie the game. Hubbs did score his game high 40 pts. Hudson scored 20. Fred maybe 12...the rest in single digets...

White Station beat No1 Melrose friday night. This should shake up the polls again. The Fed-Ex games Monday should bring some light to where some should be in the Polls. Going to be an interesting Monday for sure. "GO CHOCTAWS"

ESPN is also covering the Grizzlies vs Bulls game Monday the 17th. @ 12:00 noon.

The other game you are missing is The Grizzlies vs Bulls @ 12:00 pm. then Southwind vs Memphis Central @ 3:30pm then Dyer Co. vs White Station @ 5:00pm. Tickets range from 15 dollars to 80 dollars...depending where you sit.

I've beem watching Hubbs since he was a freshman. This kid can flat out play. He can shot the three, hit the 10-12 ft. jumper, can create his own shot, can slam dunk at will. He to me is a complete player. His speed is very deceptive. In my opinion Hubbs is the best freshman and sophomore to come out of Dyer Co. He could easily be the best player to ever play at DC. The only weak spot I see, is his defense. He does need to work on that, but he's got two years to do that. He's D1 hopeful for sure. This kid is fun and awesome to watch play.

Dyer County starters never play the whole game...McCord plays ten bench players as much as his starters. You are not going to win this argument, about playing starters too much...That just doesn't happen at Dyer Co.

I don't think White Station will be favorite. It will be played on neutral court. Dyer County plays well on the road...Should be a good game. I believe Dyer co. will have a better bench and wear them out in the end...Dyer co. goes about 10 deep on the bench and doesn't miss a beat...

97.3 should carry the Dyersburg games.

Who is going to win this game. I think both teams are undefeated going into the game. I'm pulling for Dyer Co. Anyone got any info on this game?

Well it looks like the rivalry is over. I talked to a friend close to Dewight Hedge, who said Dyer C0. and Dyersburg will not play any sports with each other. I think it a crying shame for this to happen. I would like to here what everyone else has to say? Please post a comment!!!

This game should be the Championship game. Both are the best in West Tennessee. If the Harris kid is pitching for DC., my money is on him to be the winning pitcher.. He is only a sophomore, but he has great stuff and been in big games before, and he thrives on them. DC wins but it will be close.

Will you Lake Co. people stop your crying. Coaches at Dyer Co. do not recruit, they don't have to. Kids want to go to Dyer Co. because of their coaching skills, period. They will learn the fundamentals of the game better at Dyer Co., than any other school, bottom line. Not to mention the school is State of the Art.So stop the recruiting crap, its really getting old.

Dyer Co. has more balance than any team I've seen this year. They have the big man in the post, and 4 other starters who score in double figures just about every game. If one is not hot they switch to who ever is hot. They also have a bench that can play. When they come in there is not much, if any fall off. They play young at times , make some dumb passes, but they seem to off set that with raw talent. Hubs, the freshmen is the best freshmen I've seen this year , bar none. We are young with three sophomores and a junior, but we don't play young. These guys can really play, and play as a team, I had rather have that than have one player doing , and everyone else watching. I don't believe Joe Jackson will get 40 on us tonite, no one has all year. Will have to see that one to believe it. Should be a great game, with a fantastic atmosphere. DC fans will be BIG, LOUD & PROUD come Monday night. "GO BIG ORANGE"

School will not open doors till 5:00pm. Trust me the die hards will be lining up @ 4:30 to get in the door with ticket in hand. Gym will not open till 5:30pm, TSSAA rules stipulate. So there will be lines @ the gym doors to get in at 5:30pm.

What you mean to say is there is recruiting all over Memphis and the country and I don't want to talk about it. Everyone knows it. End of my 2 cents worth.
