  1. Kingston and L.C. played a great game last night. It went into overtime with the Lady Jackets coming out on top, 57-54. Does L.C. have any players that can score consistently? I read in the paper that Parks scored 23 against Sevier county, she wasnt that much of a threat last night. I'm sure it hurts to lose to a school she transferred away from just so she could play at L.C.. Too bad they wont play again this year and the Panthers will have to wait until next year to try and avenge this loss. I would love to see them play each other again this year.
  2. Janelle is the one that hurt them. She was on fire!!! Ended the night with 19 points. Stone couldnt stay with her. Stone was also out coached. Coach Collins slow the game down and Stone didnt have an answer. All they wanted to do was jack threes and no one was hitting except Kristen. Where was Destiny last night!!!
  3. Stone would get a lead, at one point they were up by 9 and then their coach decides to start substituting. His roatation seems to be a little questionable.
  4. Have you watched them play at all this year? I dont know her name but #42 is a strong inside player. Stone has the ability to win from long range or go inside.
  5. Stone by 10 without Brown, with her, by 15 or more
  6. CCHS is undefeated so far this season. Question - will they be undefeated after Tuesday nights game against the Lady Panthers???
  7. Didnt CAK lose to Kingston last night?? So much for them playing for the district championship!!!
  8. I would have to agree with almost everything you've said. Your comments about UT and Coach Pearl are off the mark though. If Kingston had the resources to pay someone the amount Pearl got, I'd say they could find someone more excited and energetic to Coach. I'm not saying the coaches shouldnt show more enthusiasm about their position, just when it comes to Kingston getting coaches, they dont look very far outside the realm of their faculty and you end up getting whats available and someone who is willing to take the job, plus, you get what you're allowed to pay for.
  9. Is it true the Coach from Scott County is coming to Kingston to fill the Assistant Coaches position??
  10. I think there are a few girls that will be given an opportunity to play at the next level. Smith for one will probably be looked at by several schools. Mergen, with her size will also probably be given an opportunity. Once someone spends some time with her, she can probably contribute for some college. You also have Ray who will be starting her Jr. year. Probably the teams best pure outside shooter. If she contines to develop, I see her getting the opportunity to play college ball. As for attitudes, I agree with Jacketdad to a point, continusly losing doesnt help with a positive attitude. Those attitudes will continue until a Coach takes the bull by the horns and does something about it. Until then, it will be the same.
  11. This has nothing to do with the Wartburg vs Oz game other than I've got a question about the Christopher girl. I saw her play against Kingston and just about every time she shot the ball, she fell to the floor. Does she do this all the time? Did she do it against Wartburg? I mean, there were times when no one was even close to touching her and she would shoot and then fall to the ground. Is this her attempt at trying to draw a foul? If it is, she should definitely quit!! I dont think they called a foul anytime because she fell to the floor. Does anyone think college scouts like this kind of play? Oz fans, dont get me wrong, I think she is a tremendous player. I've even debated with friends about her ability when they dont think she is good enough to possibly play DI, I've always said I thought by the time she graduates, she would be looked at by several DI schools. I've never seen her do it in previoius seasons so I just dont understand why now. Christopher has way too much talent to be using mickey mouse tactics to try and draw a foul. She should play like she's capable and quit with the little league games.
  12. I was at the game last night and I have to disagree with your comment about the Lady Jackets improved a lot. I dont think they've improved since getting beat by Catholic, they simply played a very small and weak team. They still continued to turn the ball over way too much. Their just fortunate they were playing Scott County and not anyone else in their district. As for playing the subs, I agree to a point that they're are a couple girls that he could bring in and still be ok, but to say they have a lot of talent on the bench, well, lets just say I respectfully disagree. I'd like to know who you think the person you referred to as one of the teams best shooters is on the bench. Most of the girls on the bench are Freshman and Sophmores, before you make a statement about someone being one of the best shooters, check out the B-Teams game stats.
  13. I've seen the Lady Jackets play several times this year, the last time was before the Christmas Holiday. I saw where they lost all three games in the Harriman Tournament but played Oliver Springs pretty close, are they improving, was it a fluke they played O.S. that close or did O.S. just have an off night? I know several of the girls on the team and it seems they have some talent, why arent they winning more games? Will they beat Catholic tonight?
  14. Final Score Rockwood 59 Harriman 50. Where Rockwood lacks talent, they make up for by their hustle. They are a scrappy bunch of girls with a positive attitude and belief that they can win. Its amazing to see what results can be achieved by simply believing and having a positive attitude. How do you think they will fair against Kingston Monday night??
  15. Who's going to win this one. Its a big District Game. Kingston is 2-0 with wins over Scott County and Harriman. I still dont think they've played up to their potential.
