  1. You "just saying" does not make it so. And if your only basis for discussion is your own opinion, you have nothing to say. But lets not let facts get in the way of your opinion and lets certainly not try to address the certainty of the scenario I presented with Alcoa and Maryville. A better man would have just said "good point." You on the other hand, want to claim there should have been gold balls won during the biggest shakeups and rezonings of a single school in the entire history of Rutherford County Schools. But you can go right ahead and keep looking foolish with your imaginary gold balls and "would have, should have" and blame the coach for not winning them all the while he was the guy who keep them with a great overall record during his tenure and time of huge changes that Rankin left to avoid.
  2. You really need to quit trying to change my words or make them say something else. I said the right coach in the right circumstances with the right advantages. Its all three, not one. Take Rankin out of Alcoa or Quarles out of Maryville, take away the loose zoning policies and cheap tuition, and split each of those schools three times in less than 10 years, and open up multiple schools that have football programs that pulls deeply from your talent base. If you have a program that still has a winning record during that period of time, then you replaced Rankin or Quarles with a great coach. Period. End of story and discussion.
  3. As typical of the majority of your posts, you are incorrect. When you are lacking in intelligence and information, all you are able to add to the conversation is incorrect conjecture and opinion. You must have the right coach in the right set of circumstances and advantages. Rankin left because because both were being stripped away. Guess where he landed? A place that continues to have the circumstances and advantages he needed. Riverdale doesn't have them any more and they were on the way out the door before Rankin left, hence his exit.
  4. Your assertion is pure conjecture and meaningless opinion. The numbers to win the lottery are always present. Doesn't make a winner every time.
  5. Thanks for answering to the simpleton roll call. Thanks for trying to put words in my mouth. You are incorrect. That is not what I am saying, and never have. What I actually AM saying and have said for years for years has not changed. Nice try to deflect and skew it, but it won't work. No, I won't repeat it for your lazy benefit. Stay warm and perhaps read a book on this cold day. It might help stimulate some cognitive growth and you might actually come to understand the big picture of Riverdale football someday. No, I will not give you the big picture again for your lazy benefit. Or, you could just gripe on a message board and show how you do not have the mental capacity to put together all the pieces of a very large puzzle that lead to the recent decline of Riverdale football that was forecast by those with far greater football and Rutherford County political knowledge than you, long before Aydelott became the Riverdale coach.
  6. There are a couple of small minded folks that do not have the capacity to see the big picture and the causes of why Riverdale was destined to go down hill and the reason Rankin left. Blind dislike of one person is much easier for the simpletons. This post will serve as a roll call for a couple of those guys...
  7. Looks like LOD has a new coacht name. Or perhaps a "clone" ? Getting more and more desperate. Besides, since you said "team," you know that every team changes every year with graduation, kids moving in and out, etc. What Aydelott inherited was different than what Rankin walked away from...and then the rezoning hit. Can't wait to see your response. Don't sit up waiting for mine.
  8. I actually agree with you. The buck stops at the top of the program. The disagreement has always been what hurdles the program faces. Some believe the hurdle is the coach, while I believe it is the multiple rezoning that disrupted a great football system that was in place at Riverdale. Rankin leaving at the first signs of it is very strong evidence; he didn't leave because he thought he was going to keep winning, he left for greener pastures because he saw the well soon drying up at Riverdale. And blaming a proven coach that has a great winning record, a state championship, and the desire to win more for being the problem in the face of the much bigger issue of multiple rezonings is just stupid, uninformed, and generally petty. But we can blame the weightroom and the website if that makes it easier for some. Sure, lets blame it on something that we think we might be able to do something about, but lets not work on what the real problem is. Boy, has that ever become the American way!
  9. You must not be as close as you want people to think, otherwise you would be able to say there is a running back at Oakland in the IB program or a QB at Blackman lying about his address or a lineman at Siegel that is taking Russian and Riverdale doesnt offer it. Those are just examples of giving info without giving names. Great athletes get found no matter the offense. A well run, truly deceptive wing t will have multiple backs with impressive yards, including the QB. You can also have a great passing game out of the wing t. To some, it may not have the flash of the spread, but that is generally a reflection of that person's knowledge of football as a whole and indication of their lack of understanding of the wing t. That is not meant to be any sort of insult to you and there is no need for resumes to be discussed. It is definitely only a small part of what is going on, with their outdated weight room being such a problem. I'm still waiting to hear if that is making the weights lighter or heavier for the Riverdale kids...its a wonder they ever won a championship with that sort of disadvantage compared to the rest of the state.
  10. What kids are driving by Riverdale to play at other schools and how are they getting away with it? It might be perfectly legal, but you seem to have some specific knowledge, so without giving player names, please share. There is a whole thread going that talks about the wing-t and gives very strong reasons why the kids that don't want to play it are misinformed, which they were by others in the county telling them how bad and boring and you won't get seen or the big numbers by playing within it. Total bull used by some to get kids to come to other schools and to badmouth a coach.
  11. That is a portion of it, but not the only thing as you state. The regularly changing school zones is my belief and explanation as to why there has been a slacking off of the once 7aaa, mainly Riverdale, dominance. Rankin saw it coming and left. Some members of coacht don't want to look at the whole picture and the whole history and only want to blame the man that replaced the man. They are leaving out the biggest piece of the puzzle and give an inept, incomplete, and inaccurate explanation.
  12. There you go assuming things again. I was talking to you, but not necessarily about you. Strange how you think the weights and room they won state championships with are no longer good enough. Are new weights lighter or heavier these days?
  13. No. LaVergne has too transient of a population. LaVergne is a metro school that happens to be in Rutherford county.
  14. No, it has to be football related. Maybe I can play the part of a disgruntled former player's parent that has never coached a day. I've seen enough on here to be able to do that well, but i guess that is not a single position, more of a club. I don't think I would be too welcome in that one, with my conflicting manifesto and all. Maybe I can be the old retired guy that donates a wheelbarrow full of money to pay for the turf they want. Think they would name the synthetic grass after me? '"Swami Grass" at Tomahawk Stadium has a great sound to it, and that keeps me in the lawn genre you thought would work for me.
  15. I said before that I was thinking about trying out for waterboy
  16. Again, incorrect. I do not think the program is where is should be. The reason it is not there is the dispute, but I don't know anyone, not your two people nor anyone else, that thinks the program is where it should be.
  17. Yes, I do have a lot of nerve. Thank you
  18. I am sure you do think you have me narrowed down to a couple of people. Its fun to know you are trying. I must be getting to you.
  19. It was a hypothetical question that was not intended to be answered by you. Your fidelity and bedroom preferences are best left private. I have ties to the program. You will never know who or what they are.
  20. I gave you an answer. I can't apologize for you not liking it and there is no avoidance on my part. You would simply try to pick apart any response I gave, yes or no. I am close enough to have the information I need to form my own opinions. That is all you need to know. Think of it like this question where there is no way to answer without assumptions being inferred and made; "Was your wife upset when she found out you were dating a man? Just a simple yes or no."
  21. Close enough Perhaps there is a powder puff league that would be more to your liking.
  22. Since it was intentional to do so, I cannot congratulate you on picking up on it, but thanks for pointing it out. Your other compliments are noted and appreciated. Hobbies are not usually manifestos, but since you put it that way, sure, we can go with it as my manifesto. I take stance against all the cowardly attacks on coaches with winning records and state championships on their resumes that exceeds lets say longer than 5 years on the 6A postings on coacht.com. Maybe I will get a mask or cape for Christmas this year. Both would be great. "Thank you for your support." B&J, circa 1984
