This is great! It is so good to read all of these posts about a fine bunch of young men. YOU ARE ALL WINNERS IN MY BOOK! You all have played hard, fought to the end, and never gave up. Never before have I been more proud to be a Lewis County Panther fan.

I have to agree with hsffan. The players on this team deserved a lot better this year...from the coaches, the fans, and each other. I believe most everyone including the coaches gave up on this team before the first game. Strictly my opinion...but by the game attendance, comments, and so forth it seems to be true. All I can say is WHAT A SHAME! This team deserved a lot more...especially the senior players. The faithful fans are still there, cheering them on, and all I can say is how very proud I am of this team. Keep fighting....It's not over yet!

Why start a thread for Giles vs Lewis when according to the previous posters the game is already decided? ALL teams can be beat even Giles County. Lewis may not win Friday but it is a shame to count them out before the first kick off.

One thing that needs to be pointed out that I think some are forgetting.... ALL teams can be beat. No team needs to go in to a game thinking it is an easy win.

IMO when the ball is only thrown to one person most all of the time, it is hard for any other players to be prepared to catch the ball. We need to stop being so predictable!

I am sure being an official is a hard job and one that does not get much credit or thanks. I also understand that officials can make mistakes. BUT when bad calls are so blatantly obvious even for those with the most inexperienced eyes something needs to give. I do believe that the calling decided this game. Both teams played well and were really giving their all. IMO both teams were robbed in this game because officials should never determine the outcome of a game!

Okay Panthers....Here we are at Week 4 of the season...That first win is still within reach just waiting for you all to reach out and grab it! I believe this team has the fight and determination to turn things around and NOW is the time to do it. Don't sit back and listen to all of the negative comments floating around and just give up. FIGHT BACK! Seniors...this is your year! Pump your team up, get out there on the field, and play ball! Play hard, hit hard, and be the winners we all know you can be. Coaches - Get behind you team, be positive, and motivate your players! The first three games are behind us, use the positive from these games, learn from the mistakes, and move forward as a team. Everything up to this point is in the past - it cannot be changed - but as coaches/players you can shape these next few weeks. Are you going to lay down and quit or are you going to hold you head up and GET OUT THERE AND FIGHT and know that you have given it your all at season end. As for the nay sayers in the community....SHAME ON YOU! Get behind your Lewis County Panthers - win or lose - and SUPPORT YOUR TEAM!

Great post 66in74! I believe the responsibility falls to the player and parents to pursue playing college ball. Most every college has a prospect questionnaire available on their website and information as to where to send highlight video.

I normally do not post a lot of comments, but feel I must reply to 926's comments regarding the insinuation of enhancements being used in our program. Your comments are way off base. This senior class and even the lower classmen are not 'chemically enhanced'. If you feel you need to point fingers at someone do it on a more narrow basis not to generalize the team or program as a whole. Also, this thread is talking about the program this year. If your comments are based on something you may or may not know from the past take it up somewhere else, maybe with those players/coaches you are accusing. This senior group has several players that are currently in the top 10 of their class with some players carrying a 4.0 GPA. The potential is there for several to possibly play at the next level. Did you ever think that maybe if someone in the past did not pursue playing at the next level that it was their own fault? Maybe they lacked the desire to play the game, the willingness to stand on the sidelines until it was their turn to suit up, or they didn't apply themselves enough in school to make the grades to even go to college. Don't blame the coach unless there are facts to support your comment. As I said earlier this thread is for the Panther program this year. Unless you know something to be absolutely true, keep it to yourself or address it with the person in question. As for this year's season, it isn't over yet. We may have lost the first two ballgames but there are eight more to go. This group of players and coaches will continue to work hard each week and give 100% to the game. Signed A Proud Panther Fan
