  1. If Fitz coming then you tell ‘em a turnaround is coming with him (Tombstone reference finally worked in on page 24)
  2. Well if true that’s underwhelming
  3. Most have a very good assistant coach or a couple of them that are teachers that do the heavy lifting day to day. At least in my experience with non faculty HC’s
  4. Valid point. Let’s try to pick a game to get the greenback crew together on. We need to go watch a good one so that pretty much rules out our entire schedule lol.
  5. I personally don’t think an out of state kid is an issue. Border counties see kids come in from other states and there are some that live here that go into Kentucky also. It’s just not really an issue for me. I know I kid about the Alabama bus routes but honestly it’s just trash talk. As long as rules are followed then families have the right in my opinion to decide what is best for them.
  6. Better make it a keg. I have a feeling we’re all gonna be just sittin’ and sippin’ for a lot longer than a case waiting for HHS to figure out what they wanna do.
  7. I guess we can agree to disagree on that one. I’m not a fan of closed zones for schools myself. Not as much from an athletic standpoint but overall there are just to many scenarios that it is best for a kid to be at a school other than the one they would likely be zoned for if zones were mandatory at all schools. No reason for an entire family to have to pull up roots and move because of the 1-4 years of junior high or high school but that’s just my opinion. Yes parents/guardians should shoulder the burden of providing transportation to and from if that’s the case but asking a family to move IMO is to much but I’m sure there are very good arguments to zone as well.
  8. I agree on the taxation BTW. That said there are no “districts” in some areas. How hard is that to understand. Kids in Scott county go to Anderson County, kids in Oneida go to McCreary County Ky. Oneida and Scott kids go there. A few in the county are reportedly going to a Morgan county school next year. Point is all of these schools are open zoned and if a parent decides they want to take the responsibility to provide transportation to and from then I really don’t see an issue with it. The educational system regularly oversteps its bounds in my opinion as it is. Granted as a society some of our members haven’t left much choice in certain aspects but that is another issue all together.
  9. Close but not quite on your rational there. You’re correct he would likely still be there but you’re a little off on the why.
  10. What about a kid that lives in a county that the county partially funds the city school system? Where do those kids “have” to go? The families inside the city pay county taxes that help fund the county schools and they pay city taxes that help fund city schools. The same applies to the families that live in the county. There are always situations outside of the ones you are personally involved in. That cold one is on me.
  11. You could absolutely be correct. I don’t have a clue who they’re gonna go with myself.
  12. “We”? So where do you hang your whistle coach?
  13. Personally I blame US Hwy 27. Something about that road I guess. Name one on it north of Rhae county that’s fixed anything in a decade or more
  14. At this point I’ve lost interest lol. HHS obviously isn’t serious about fixing their football woes or with the names that have been interested and interviewed it would be a done deal already if they were. Good coaches know you can win there, just look at the list and see who’s been interested. Then again maybe once they have a meeting the interest may be less than before. Hard to say.
  15. Guess not 🤷🏼‍♂️
  16. With the “right” OC you like Fitz over lambert as HC?
  17. Just checked all 3 of his boys pages, didn’t see anything of the sort. That said if TL is interested he’d be a good one for sure.
  18. step away from the tequila @elcants4life, you’ve had one to many today, just stick to the chips and salsa for a bit bro. That’s the funniest thing you’ve posted about this coaching search yet.
  19. Why the delay in hiring? Has the application period closed yet?
  20. True, I wasn’t sure what position he held there but I’d say you’re spot on about a new hire even if he left the admin role.
