Rumor is that somebody went up on the hill for us with a chain-saw and extension ladder and removed some tree-limbs for us. Should be a fun night up on the hill lookin' down in "The Hole". We have a big time up there on the hill around the fire. We usually start filing in about 6 or 615 on Friday evening. I thought last Fri. night would be our last...glad I was wrong. Congratulations to the Owls for advancing to the 2nd round of the play-offs. In my opinion the best football atmosphere in football is right here in Carthage TN. We listen to the pre-game on 104.1, music is blaring from the press box, the band is warming up, special teams are gettin loose, the smell of fresh grilled burgers and popcorn fills the cool fall air. You anticipate the BOOM from the fireworks, and then the TRAIN HORN (lemme tell ya folks, it is one more horn). Sometimes we might even bust out some hot-dogs and marshmallows to cook over the fire, and always some salted in the shell peanuts. I have been to Knoxville on Saturday, Nashville on Sunday, numerous high schools on Friday nights (even in Texas) and you won't find a better football atmosphere than right here in Carthage Tennessee. Harpeth fans, welcome to "The Hole". Looking forward to a great High School football game. Hope everyone has a safe trip to and from the game and an injury free game!!!!

I am an Owl fan, however, I am also a realist. The Owls have scored 10 measly points in their last 2 games against mediocre (and thats giving a lot of credit) opponents, and from what I've seen they are not very mentally tough. Looking forward to the halftime show. PC by at least 28!!!

I-40 west to the Carthage / Gordonsville exit (I think it's exit #258) take a right at bottom of ramp. You'll go approximately 6 to 8 mi. When you cross the Cumberland river get in left lane and turn left at the light at Wal-Mart. This road will take you right into Carthage. When you see Sonic on your left College Ave. is on the right. As far as field conditions...well, it's been raining here off and on since monday night but they say it will be done by Friday. WOW 60 pages and it's only Wednesday evening. All you Marion Co. fans, welcome to the "Hole". Don't be to alarmed when you see the fire on the bank behind the visitors bleachers. Looking forward to a good hard-nosed football game, hopefully with the BIG OWLS coming out on top. Hope all remain injury free and everyone has a safe trip to and from the game regardless of the final score.

Just drove by the field a little while ago, it looks to be in excellent shape. Looking forward to the 1st Sports Nuts broadcast of the season and really looking forward to tomorrow night when the big Wildcats roll into town. imallin, bigreid, and whoever else... I'll be on the hillside behind the visitor's bleachers c'mon up and see us. Hoping for a good hard hitting and injury free ball game, and hope to see the Big Owls get the season started off with a big W.
