  1. Ouch /ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" /> Never thought I'd see the day as long as Dickson was at Greeneville. I know they have injuries but in my opinion, I don't think it would have mattered. WEST IS JUST THAT GOOD. Gaylon showed how good a coach he was last year when they made their run without Goins. Then he gets Hall and Goins is as good or better than ever and all I can say is WOW!!!!!
  2. Here are the stats from last nights game from the Greeneville newspaper. I assume the ballhogs you're referring to are Hall and Goins. Hall Takes 8 shots and Goins 6. Granted both took more shots but Goins only shoots 2 free throws so only one more shoot. Hall takes 17 free throws so you had to take several more shoots but she hits 15 out of 17 free throws also. She is their go to player so naturally she'll get more shots than anyone else most nights. Granted he has several options (what a great problem) but as the season rolls along I'm sure you'll see all the girls contribute more than just great defense, setting picks, ball handling, and all the other things that don't show up on the stat sheet. Nicole usually eats most peoples lunch but in this case with a 28 to 23 margin. I think it was more of a Happy Meal instead of a full meal. BTW I have no affiliation(spell?) with either team just a IMAC girls fan in general. Will they go undefeated? Highly unlikely. Lady Devils and a few others will have a lot to say about that. How many teams will? NOT MANY!!!! Morristown West (58): Taylor Hall 4-8 15-17 23, Goins 3-6 0-2 6, May 0-2 0-0 0, Watson 1-4 0-0 3, Smith 3-7 0-2 9, L.Hall 0-1 0-0 0, Jones 2-2 1-1 5, Megan Fanney 3-4 4-5 12. Totals 16-34 20-27 58. Greeneville (55): Nicole Dickson 11-14 5-10 28, Ramsey 0-0 0-0 0, Christopher 1-1 0-1 2, Kelley 3-8 0-2 6, Morgan Shipley 3-4 3-4 11, Hall 0-2 0-0 0, Medlin 0-0 2-2 2, Story 3-3 0-0 6. Totals 21-32 10-19 55. 3-Point Goals: MWHS (6) Smith 3, Fanney 2, Watson. GHS (3) Shipley 2, Dickson. Score by Quarter: Morristown West 13 11 19 15 -- 58 Greeneville 22 4 18 11 -- 55
  3. I didn't go but got to listen. I was worn out just listening. Barn Burner for sure. The next 3 meetings will be something else I'm sure. I'm sure there will also be 3 more meetings.
  4. It's final Morristown West 58 Greeneville 55.
  5. Anyone know what the record was and what she has now? Thanks in advance.
  6. In my opinion West didn't really seem to be giving it their all last night. Many missed layups and free throws. If I remember correctly Hall didn't hit a shoot outside of a layup. Shot seemed to be just a tad off but still managed 25 I think. East has a very big starting 5 but guard play just leaves a lot to be desired. Orrick is a very big asset against the press. Great hands and a big target and passes really well. West only gave a token press at best for the most part. Atmosphere was not like any other East West games I have seen. Very quite for the most part.
  7. I would hate to think I just po'd a team that thrashed me by 20 some points. Now they'll really be fired up. I can see the smile on Gaylon's face now. His team will not take the Lady Red lightly now that they have a reason to be fired up even more.
  8. Cocke County falls to Science Hill 59 to 45. 2 outta 3 aint bad. But 3 outta 4 would be a lot better. Go Chiefs!!!!!
  9. Morristown West wins 58 to 43 over Sullivan South after being down by 14 at the half. Gaylon gets win number 200 in 10 years at West.
  10. Just a guess, but I would say they are talking about Price from Cherokee. I sure would like to know where you can find stats on all of the young ladies from the IMAC. Can anyone help me out here?
  11. There is no one more deserving of Coach of the year than Gaylon. Not a fan of his but he can flat out coach. Greeneville and Cocke County's coach's have had great years but they also have a lot more talent then West in my opinion. At least heathy talent. West does have one thing that most teams don't and that's heart. Got to credit his team with that but Galyon in steals it in them.
  12. Nice post LadyRedFan. Very nice team. Jeff just couldn't match Cocke County's size down the stretch. I'll agree with you on the calls they went both ways for the most part. IMAC Refs /sleep.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="-_-" border="0" alt="sleep.gif" /> are horrible and that's being kind. You see kids thrown all of the floor with contact everywhere and they call nothing. Then call a ticky tack foul. Par for the course I guess. Someone will get hurt someday and I fear what some /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" /> angry parent will do. Hopefully I'm wrong. /unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> /wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />
  13. Congrats to the Lady Patroits tonight as they beat Sevier Co. in Sevierville by 9. 72 to 63 I think was the final score. Dez Huff was awesome tonight.
  14. The refs must of realized how bad they were doing this is the stats from the boys game. Copied from the tri cities paper. Free throws were the biggest differential on the evening. The Greene Devils were 20-of-27 and the Trojans just 2-for-3. Ouch!!!!!! Refs are terrible everywhere as I feel most are there for the money. No other reason. However the Green Bank Classic what they did to the first team Greeneville beat was the worst I had ever saw. That mad scramble at the end of the game and the clock ran down to 2 seconds(and Greeneville knocked the ball out of bounds IMHO) and they put 5 seconds on the clock which was BS as there was no way they were watching the clock with all of the action that was going on. Then they didn't even bother to tell the opposing coach as he came out of the timeout asking what was going on and they never bothered to tell him.
