Get real!!! HC has been to semi's 2 years in a row. They have 2 big time D-1 recruits and you add another who is big time and got to semi's of state in Mo. Isn't it amazing how as fans, we tend to only give credit to the individuals who score the most points? Yes, June Bug was huge! I also say the kids being more patient and willing to sacrifice their individual glory by getting him the ball was huge. Our guard play was excellent. How about he terrific job Hooper and Sparks did controlling the middle? Hooper made a denial to the post late in the 2nd quarter that was huge. Marcus was all over the place defensively and rebounding (giving up his points for the team). James had some big drives. What about Chris Teague's very solid play and contributiions when called upon. Mark Wilkins play was phenominal as well (handling the ball and 2 giant hustle plays coming up with loose balls). Yes, Bug was big, but the TEAM as a whole was much bigger. Go Patriots!! As I've said before, I've seen a lot of basketball of soon to 4 decades worth. That is up to individual kid. I do know everyone loves a winner. If HC proves they can win. Kids that love the game will play. As far as the coach goes, I understand he is a Hall Of Famer. I know he knows what it takes to be successful. Any kid who doesn't want to play for a coach like him doesn't love the game and that is ok. That takes nothing from the kid who doesn't want to play that sport. There are also some very athletes playing basketball who simply chose not to play fb.
