  1. On Tuesday, Crockett County beat Haywood County to advance in the loser's bracket. Crockett County then beat Milan to advance to the championship round and will face Dyersburg on Wednesday in Union City.
  2. I understand how the system works. I just can't figure out why TSSAA would use a system that could have such a result. TSSAA' Playoff Standings after week 9 had Dyersburg at 6 and Raleigh Egypt at 29 and yet R.E. is seeded 5 and Dyersburg is seeded 6. Does anybody know where the Memphis playoff games will be played?
  3. How in the #@*% can TSSAA use a system where a team that is 9-1 is seeded #6 behind teams that are 6-4 and 5-5?
  4. Tigertiger, I think it is the top two overall. This same thing is hitting Dyersburg, who is 9-1 and going to be a 6 seed out of 8 in the quad. Go figure.
  5. Someone finally told me the real reason Coach Jackson moved the game from Thursday to Friday. He thought it would be raining Thursday night and he was concerned about the safety of one of his players. He was worried that if they played in the rain, his transfer player from Dyer County may drown as much as he runs his mouth during the game.
  6. Does anybody know why the Dyer County players and coaches left the field after the game without shaking hands with the Liberty players and coaches?
  7. I'll post bigster! Scalp the Choctaws? How cute? It would have been if they would have won! Dyersburg may not quit, but neither do the Choctaws and in the end of the game the Choctaws showed that NO QUIT mentality and closed the door on the Trojans. Way to go Choctaws!!!! It said "You Got Scalped" as a reference to the 2009 DCHS vs DHS football game. Each kid also had their football number painted on their back. Many people thought it was very clever, especially since many people seem to love the slogan "Just Like Football".
  8. Have been told that McCord has not used his bench as much the last few games. Is that correct? If so, any idea why he would be changing now?
  9. Are Covington and Dion going to shock the world?
  10. It all depends upon what your priorities are. Nobody has questioned anyone's choice of schools. What has been questioned by many is the example that is being set for the players (and other students) when they are allowed to avoid TSSAA's "transfer and sit out a year rule" by trying to hide behind the "Bona Fide Change of Residence" exception. Remember, people that are watching (including other students) are not stupid.
  11. I am not "concerned about their school choices" as you say. I just find it interesting that 2 players that transfer from schools a few miles down the road supposedly "move" to Newbern so they will not have to sit out a year.
  12. Ced "moved" from Halls to Newbern this year. Didn't Rex Pierce "move" from Dyersburg to Newbern last year?
  13. What happened to the big girl that moved in for Dyer County last year. She was very effective last year but I did not see her on the team this year.
  14. Where did McCord find the big guy and the read head and how did he get them eligible this year?
