If anyone thinks Central has a chance against Polk this year, they are living in a fanasty world. I am from Central and are pulling for them, but reality has set in. If they improve some (which they will) reality tells me they could win 2 games this year. Sorry to be so blunt but its the truth.

Sometimes players lose their cool in a close game, it could happen to any of them. It was a physical game and something could have led up to her losing it. I saw a lot of contact on both ends of the floor the whole game and the ref's let them play, which was a good thing. That's the way the game should be played.

She is a good player. just got a little too intense over the foul.

Don't know her name, but her number was 23.

I think the gym hold about 1500. Not sure how many extra tickets will be sold.

Last years sub-state game at Central was with York. Mcminn Central returned all players and then some from last year. Keep in mind that Central has played only two games within 10 points all year and no-one has beaten them yet, with that and the home court advantage they will be hard to beat. If Upperman does beat them they will win state.

Central wins by 15+ points. Polk has a bench full of players, but only play six, not enough depth. Polk looked better last night with thier pressure defense and were not standing around as much, this should be a little better game than last time, that's why I think Central will win by only around 15 points.

Morgan and Young have done a great job at Mcminn Central. I think they will go all the way. But for now, let's look at trying to win the region. Then the sub-state. If they get by the sub-state, I think the rest will fall into place.

Don't know much about Bledsoe, but with thier record, they must have played a couple of good games in the district tourney. Knowing Central's team, this game could be over early.

Central wins by 15+ tonight. I have watched Polk play the last two games, and they seem to be relying on the German girl on every play. They look lost out there without her, it seems as if no one else wants to even bring the ball down the court. I hope Polk goes far in the region, but they will need to step it up from the way they have been playing. Congrats on second place.

The price of the ticket goes up and allows you to watch all the games instead of leaving and having to pay to get back in.

I thought the Lambert girl was close to reaching a scoring milestone, does anyone know if she is getting close.

I went to this game thinking this would be a great game. Has Polk gotten worse or Central gotten that much better? That was a total beat down. Centrals defence was the best it has been all year. Looking forward to seeing these two teams in the district and region finals.

I think Central wins this one by 10-12 points. The question is can they beat Polk 4 times. If it plays out the way it should, in the district and region, they could possibly play each other 4 times. It's hard to beat a team as good as Polk 4 times in one season. I hope they both go to state.

Loudon looked to be a pretty good team. the #24 is the heart of that team with her speed and agressive play. Central girls controlled the inside just about all night, but they looked like they were playing lazy. They came away with a win anyway against a good team. Good luck this weekend at the best of preps.

MCMINN CENTRAL

I would like to say Central played a good game, but the lack of disipline showed up in a big way in this game. That has to fall on the coaches. The penalities in the first quarter set the tone for the whole game and it looked like the game plan in the second half changed. I saw one player that stood out above the rest and that was #56, great game. As far as the #10 kid from dekalb, good player, but not D1 material. Anyway you look at it, Dekalb stuck to thier game plan and Central fell apart in the 4th quarter. Just my thoughts

I won't be coming from East Ridge, I will be coming from Mcminn Central next friday night.

I have held off all week to predict a winner, but here goes Central 28 - Dekalb 27. I am already dreading the drive to White House.

The rain should really help Howard's field. When Central was there, it was a dust bowl. At the price you pay to watch a Howard game, you would think they could afford to water the field some.

I checked the weather about 30 min. ago, and the rain should stop around 9:00. But the weather man said the rain would be gone before game time at the Polk game and it rained the whole time.

How is the rain going to affect the game tonight. I think it might benefit Central more than Dekalb. Hopefully Walker will pound the middle all night long.
