  1. UPDATE: RED BOILING SPRINGS HIGH SCHOOL just beat St. Andrews Swanee 19-0 in the Lebanon High School Jamboree. Way to go DAWGS! Keep up the Good Work!
  2. Regit, I have also heard a rumor about this. The rumor I heard was that all the football players that play basketball are talking about calling it quits so they can focus on basketball. I personally think this is a joke. I know alot of it has to do with the lack of support from the basketball program. I also know that the football players were told by a certain someone that the work they put in from here on out is mainly for next season because this season is pretty much over. I also think alot of it has to do with players being afraid of getting hurt. I am not going to say what I think all of the problems with the RBS program is because I get accused of coach bashing. I just pray for these boys and hope this program can be turned around.
  3. Cheerleading is a sport! I started out playing basketball when I was younger, but then switched to being a mascot in high school. This was the best move I have ever made. I got a full ride to the University of TN to be Smokey for the Lady Vols. I had a blast! The workouts are alot harder in cheerleading than they ever were in basketball. We had workouts and practice almost everyday of the week, unless we were cheering at a ballgame or event. The weeks before nationals are the most intense practices you could ever imagine. There is so much pressure to stick a peformance. I started competing when I was in high school. It takes a special kind of person to hit the routines that mascots and cheerleaders have to perform. Another poster stated that alot of male cheerleaders played other sports when they were in high school. I can't speak for every college, but at UT that is exactly how it was. Most of them had been football or basketball players before deciding to become cheerleaders. Being a male cheerleader does not make them any less of a man. Most of them would tell you they would rather be around beautiful women as to be around sweaty men. A male cheerleader has a horrible stereotype of them always being homosexual. This is not always true. There are homosexuals in every sport....including some of the most masculine (football, basketball, baseball). So guys that are homophobic watchout the next time you are in a locker room with your teammates. And don't criticize a sport until you have actually been apart of that sport. Cheerleading is a SPORT! Go Dawgs......Sick'em!
  4. Have a safe trip LCA! See ya'll on the Hill! Go Dawgs......Sick'em!
  5. I will be glad when all of this is settled between LCA and RBS tonight on the gridiron. I sure hope the same defense shows up that played Pickett Co. Go Dawgs.....Sick'em!
  6. I think DeKalb has a very good chance of winning this ballgame. Go DC! Go Dawgs....Sick'em!
  7. My thoughts and prayes are with these young people, their families, friends, and the Gville community. May GOD watch over all of you and send his healing powers to those that have been injured. Amen! RBS will keep these teenagers in our prayers.
  8. I can comment on this teams work ethic. I have personally been training some of these guys for almost 2 yrs. They work hard and put forth the effort that it takes to turn this program around. A program's success does not always fall on the players. Everyone has to be on the same page. Coaches, players, managers, trainers, and the community all have to work together to make a program a success. Things are starting to turn around in RBS. People may not see the changes from the outside, but for those who are involved in the program know that it really is "A New Day in Bulldog Country". We just have to work out a few more kinks in the system. I believe the Bulldogs have what it takes to bring home a win this year! Go Dawgs.....Sick'em!
  9. If the Bulldogs show up to play, they have a very good chance of winning this game. It would be nice to see them win their homecoming. No matter what, I am behind the Bulldogs! Go Dawgs.......Sick'em!
  10. Lilvol it does have to do with the offense. That is all I am going to say due to people assuming I am a coach basher. Go Dawgs....Sick'em!
  11. Google thanks for the support! The reason that I made the post that has caused so much debate is because I do have first hand knowledge of the situation. I was the strength and conditioning coach for RBS from Jan 08 thru July 08. I also helped with rehab on injured players, nutrition, linemen, and I was also over the managers. I had at least 2 workouts a day 5 days a week. I worked my butt off without any compensation because I love those boys, and because I am also a graduate from RBS. I know how hard you have to work to make yourself known. I got an athletic ride to the University of Tn. I was Smokey for the Lady Vols for 3 yrs. While I was there I got into powerlifting. This training is what led me to be a strength and conditioning coach. My program was working. Everyone knows that it did. The head coach and I had a disagreement. I tried to talk to him. He would not listen. He wanted high school boys that had not been taught the proper techniques of weight lifting to do a college level workout. The way I see it is that if I am still have to correct a kid on his form, he is not ready for 5 sets or a pyramid. The coach thought otherwise, and I was fired. I am not a coach basher. I am just stating the facts. I can also tell you that the boys worked their butts off while I was training them. These boys will always have a special place in my heart. I want the best for them! The defensive coordinator, the boys, and I were like a family. We all worked well together. Our family was torn apart the night I was fired. Now, the boys look for me at every game. They still hear my voice above everyone else in the stands. We have a mutual respect for each other. I never thought I would see the day that a female would be a football coach in TN, but those boys turned me into one. And I loved every moment of it! I don't regret what I did because I stood up for what I believed in and I stood up for the safety of the boys. I just want whats best for them. They are a great group of kids that deserve a chance. I still pray that they get their win! Go Dawgs......Sick'em!
  12. I am sorry if I offended anyone about my previous statements. I am entitled to my own opinions. I tried to talk to the head coach, and he would not listen to me. Someone stated in another thread about me being mad because I did not get my way. This has nothing to do with my way. This has everything to do with the boys! I will not say anything else about the coach. However, I will continue to support the boys and the RBS community. Go Dawgs...Sick'em!
  13. I pray that the boys get at least one win! I think this will help the boys self esteem. It will also let them see how it feels to win. Maybe after experiencing this feeling once, they will crave it some more! Go Bulldogs! Go Dawgs....Sick'em!
  14. Bashing the coaches is not all I know how to do! If you checked all my threads, you will all so see that I have said plenty of words of encouragement and even sent out prayers for the RBS team and other players. Futhermore, this has nothing to do with getting my way. This is about the boys! I am concerned about their well being. Someone stated in another thread that I needed to talk face to face with the coaches. I tried to. He would not listen. Now, there are several boys on the team that have been seriously injured. When is enough enough? Of course the coaching issue is only my opinion. I do find it funny that alot of people at RBS feel the same way I do. If this topic offends you so much, I will not say another thing about the head coach and let yall see how the season turns out due to his ignorance. We should have at least won 2 games already (my opinion). This is the last time I will bring him up! But I will never stop supporting the boys and RBS. I am praying for the boys to get their win and for no more injuries. Go Dawgs....Sick'em!
  15. It is not dissing RBS to state the facts. The head coach does not know hardly anything about football. His idea of tackling or blocking is to hit the other player high. Everyone that knows anything about football knows that the low man usually wins. Also, you have to hit in practice to know how to hit and take a hit in a ballgame. I have also said numerous times that you cannot win a high school football game running peewee plays. The reason I know so much is because a few months ago I was on the coaching staff at RBS. The head coach tried to get me to change my workout (which was working) to a college level workout. I disagreed with him! We had words, and I was fired because I would not do what he wanted me to. These boys have worked hard, and there are some assistant coaches that know what they are doing. He just want let them do their jobs. He is all about the glory! The only person he is worried about is himself. There has been more major injuries since I left then there was the entire time I was over the workouts and rehab. It is also obvious that he has tried to change things around so he is not to be outdown by the defensive coordinator. At the Pickett Co. game defense outplayed offense. Anyone that was there can tell you that. By the Gordonsville game, he had moved so many players around that it wasn't even funny. He had to make sure that the defense did not outplay his offense to make him look bad. Many people tried to keep this man from being hired in as the head coach, but once again politics ruled in Macon Co. Now, RBS is stuck with a head coach that is too busy learning plays off coachyourkids.com and youtube. If you don't believe me, check out the website. I love the boys on this team. They are a great group of kids! They deserve better than this! I hate to see all their hard work go down the drain because they have an idiot for a head coach. I hope he is reading this. All I can say is that I will have the last laugh. He tried everything he could to make me out to be the bad guy. He smeared my name to the newspaper, parents, supporters, and even the players. He would not even let me defend myself and why I felt the way I did. He kept saying that he had personal issues with me. Could those issues be the fact that I am a female (probably)? Could it also be because I was an athlete at the University of Tennessee and he is a huge Alabama fan (of course)? Does these issues even really matter (no, the boys are what matters)? Bottom line, he knows that I know more about football than he does, and he also know that the boys support and love me more than they ever will him. He made his bed. No everyone is turning against him. All he has down is bragged about how "he" was going to turn this program around and about "he" was going to make changes. Well I am sorry Baughn. You are one of the worst coaches RBS has ever seen. These boys would be better off without you. You do not have their best interest at heart and you never did. You don't even have enough heart to check on the injuried players that are layed out on the sidelines. I will always support these boys! But the coach is a fraud and he should be run out of RBS on a rail. Good luck boys! And I pray that yall get a win and have no more injuries! Coach B will always be there for yall! Go Dawgs....Sick'em!
  16. Dawgs2008 is right! It was obvious that the refs were one-sided. However, what time RBS was not getting bad calls against them someone was making some stupid mistakes. How hard is it to count to 11? The offense needs alot of work. The man calling the plays does not know how to call plays. It is also hard to win a ballgame when you are running pee-wee plays. These boys deserve better! No matter what happens, Bulldogs I am behind you all the way! Go Dawgs......Sick'em!
  17. I am not saying that #10 did this intentionally. I do know that players get caught up in the action, but they should also be trained to stop and go on the whistle. I was a football coach at one time. The other coaches and I trained our boys to respond to the whistle. Also, the game film does not lie. The hit looks deliberate. The hit was also in the ref's line of vision, and he did not do anything about it. I also know that this player was running his mouth to my brother because he had put some hard hits on him during legal play. They way I see it is that if you can't handle getting hit hard, you do not need to be playing football. As I stated before, "What goes around, Comes around"! I guess all will be determined after the game film is reviewed by TSSAA. As I said before, #10 better be on the lookout for #75 on the HILL next year. An injury due to a senseless act like unsportsman-like conduct is uncalled for. All I can say is that RBS and #75 has got this player's number. Go Dawgs.......Sick'em!
  18. Bison4 thank you for starting this thread! Too many times, Jesus Christ is left out of sporting events. I would like to send my prayers out for the RBS Bulldogs. These boys have faced many obstacles over the years. They have also had a couple of major injuries to some starters. Please just keep these boys on your hearts, and may GOD bless them with a win this year! I would also like to send out my prayers for anyone that puts pads on. It takes a brave soul to suit up in pads and look his opponents in the eye. GOD please protect all the players that suit up this season! Amen!
  19. I am cheering for RBS all the way! This team has worked hard! They are very capable of beating Jackson Co. Go Dawgs........Sick'em!
  20. The player that took the late hit in the 3rd quarter is my little brother. He now has a fractured L1. For those of you that don't understand that......he has a fracture in his spine. My brother is strong and will make it through this with flying colors! However, the game film will be sent in to TSSAA for them to review it. I am outraged that nothing was down to the player that did this to him. I am even more outraged that the ref saw the entire thing and did nothing. I hate to say this, but "What goes around, Comes around"! Bad sportsmanship will usually come back to bite you in the butt. As for my brother and the rest of the Bulldogs, they will keep their heads up! They have been working hard, and they have the support that they need! My brother and the rest of the team will see Gville next year on the HILL! #10 better be on the lookout for #75! I would also like to thank everyone for their help, well wishes, and prayers! They were greatly appreciated! GO Dawgs..........Sick'em!
  21. Why is it that everytime someone posts something about RBS, it gets blocked? The question everyone keeps asking is what is the problem with RBS. Everyone knows the answer. When you only run 3 plays for offense and 2 plays for defense you can't expect to win games. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the problem. The guys from RBS are working hard to change things. I, along with other supporters and parents, are working hard to give these kids what the coaches are not. These guys have alot of heart and determination. They want to win games. They have not been trained, conditioned, disciplined, and taught the main elements of football. This all has to do with the coaches. The coaches do not respect the guys. It almost seems like they could care less if the guys win or lose. They too worried about their so-called star players. One in particular set the Tn record for most interceptions in a high school football game. In my book, that is not something to be proud of. I am an alumni from RBS. I know how hard it is to get recognition when you are from a small town, but I managed to get an athletic ride to UT. You just have to have the heart and determination to do it. These guys do!!! They just need coaches that will do their job! Until that day comes, my partner in crime and I (along all the other supporters and parents), will continue to train and support the guys. It is obvious that what we are doing is working, and the guys love it! When something is broke you have to fix it. It is time for a change in RBS! A new era is about to begin! Proud to be an RBS Bulldog!
