Lady Rockets are coming off of the biggest win of the season, after beating Cannon Co. on sat. with Miss Basketball contender Beth Hawn on the bench with a bruised knee. This was a good look for rocket fans for what we have to look forward to next year. Now for the game at hand, Beth will be back and the lady rockets are primed for another run for state. With Taylour Allen running the offense, Anna and Christina Curtner shooting the 3's, Megan Miller working hard around the basket and Randi Toombs hardnose defense this team is at the top of their game. With a great supporting cast of Adrien Jordan, Cannan Rains and others that come off of the bench to give that extra kick when needed. Coach Jean has got these girls in perfect position for that run. But first the district tournament. With FC Boyd coming to town on fri., it's one game at a time. The game on fri. will be on WJJM.COM and 94.3 FM, so all rocket fans can here your favorite team on the web and radio. GO LADY ROCKETS. STAY FOCUS.

Forrest's Beth Hawn will be back in action this Friday against FC Boyd in first round of district 9a tournament in Chapel Hill. Game time is at 4:00. Great chance to come and see the next Miss Basketball in class A.

These choices are right on, all of these ladies make their teams so much better....I will speak of the one I know the best......Beth Hawn has all of the qualities of a Ms Basketball candidate. She is leading all scorers in Tenn., rebounds with the best, makes everyone around her better too, refuses to let her team down and night after night she wills the win, great senior leadership, wonderful student and person...looks like the COMPLETE package of a Ms Basketball WINNER! Congratulations to those young ladies that are selected, you are all special players!!! Dito Aunt Kim. Beth has developed into the complete player. She is a great leader on and off the court. You can't go wrong with Beth as Ms Basketball.

Any information on location of Region 5a tournament? District 9a tournament will be held at Forrest in Chapel Hill. What about district 10a, where will it be held?

Forrest over Moore Co Cascade wins Good win for Community in overtime MTCS defeats Eagleville Lady Rockets are really playing some great team ball at the perfect time of the year. Coach Jean has got these girls believing that they can't be beat. This team has it's own unique style of play than the past 4 state tournament teams from Forrest. I can certainly see a gold ball in the future for this bunch if they keep playing like they did tonight. Keep playing with heart and keep giving 110%, all your hard work will pay off in the end. GO LADY ROCKETS WE BELIEVE IN YOU.

Congrads ladies on a great win. Game was close for 3 quarters until you ladies got your second wind and then it was all over. Moore Co. got a good team and will go far in the district and region. I think we'll be playing each other again before season end. GO LADY ROCKETS

This is a battle for 1st place in district 9. Forrest won 1st meeting 52-51 at Lynchburg. This going to be one of the best games of the season in middle Tn. so far. Two exciting teams, both rated in the top 25 in the AP polls. If the outside shooting keeps getting stronger with the Curtner twins, Allen, Toombs, and the inside game with Hawn, Miller, and Jordan improving , it will be hard to stop these Lady Rockets from Forrest. Forrest wins 62-46. This game was won on some good old hard nose defense by the lady rockets. There was plenty of offense, too. Beth Hawn 24, Christina Curtner 17, Anna Curtner 7, Megan Miller 6, Taylour Allen 4, Taylor Andrews and Hannah Phiffer 1 each, Adrian Jordan 2.
