Sounds like you have watched HC play several times to help form your opinion. If that be the case then you havent noticed the change in offensive sets from the days of Shutt and DeBerry. Would be interesting to read your analogy of why the change. The unatheletic approach you have already used. Come on Man! You run your mouth like you know football. Do you really? Answer the question. Why the change this year? And we are not in district 10. Would have null and voided the objective of new alignment and classification. Great job on specail teams Brighton. You guys look like VA Tech. UTFan states HC should have won. Well HC didnt because couldnt execute on the punts. However if Burnham doesnt go out with an injury he would have thrown at least 3-4 more TD passes. It was there. But that game over and on to next week. HC problems last Friday night are fixable. Yea. yea, yea. We havent played any REAL teams. Truth is Brighton most atheletic bunch we seen all year to date. Their atheletes didnt beat use. Poor execution on punts and a key injury did.

My attacks on Henry County. I would say you threw out the first punch with your assessment and opinion. Looks like the only real team you have played was Liberty. Overall the opponents you have faced are 26-31. You can have yours man. Keep on disrespecting and you will contnue to get disrespect. Personally I dont think you know jack about football if your response is if we win them all then they arent very good. Our kids work just as hard as yours. My last words to you. Red Warrior........Its seems you are still mad about Hardin County beating Adamsville! As I said before, a below average Hardin County team will probably beat a very good Adamsville team. That is called classifications and that is why they have them. That game between those two teams should be thought of as only money games. They draw huge crowds and bring in lots of money! Hardin County has more to loose than Adamsville because everyone expects them to win and if Adamsville does catch them down it is a huge defeat! Please let this loss go!! 5A teams will almost always beat 2A teams. I am not familiar with the records of this rivalry but how many times has Adamsville beat Hardin County? I am not bothered at all about that game. I don't even care about it. My only point is that Hardin County has played no real good teams and this will tell on them and become obvious in the playoffs because Melrose and Mitchell will destroy them should they play, and Henry County will beat them as usual. Strictly to Red Warrior>probably what you guys were thinking Saturday night about Clarksville. Keep it up seems to work out well for you guys. We just pretenders down here in Hardin County. Mere mortals compared to you guys. We only been to the game before the game one time, you guys got there three years in a row.

Really I do. HC couldnt have beat your bunch last year, no way, defense was to soft and offense couldnt execute the snap. I give you that, I knew that going in. It is called being realistic. You might want to step back and look at your teams record and who you guys have played and the final score of those games. You dont have what you had and you couldnt get it done when you should have. Point is anybody can go down at any given time. I was really surprised last year that you guys didnt petition the board to have the score of the Hillsboro game changed too. LOL. The Henry County threads are always humorous due to the dysfunctional fighting between yourself.

The RedWarrior is correct...and I do see your point as well "utfan2"...however it may not be as hard as you think. Did you know Memphis Fairley went to Franklin last week? Do you honestly think Franklin will return the favor next year? Fairley likewise will return to Franklin next year...care to guess why? Yep...$$$! UTFAN, the community that I live in faces the same problem as our Savannah friends...big stadium, wonderful atmosphere, strong tradition, yet..nearly impossible to fill a 10 game schedule of quality teams! Our administration has ..over the years..chosen to pay teams to come play us..(listen) EVEN IF IT MEANT RISKING A LOSS. It simply makes sense especially given this new format. Sadly, like RedWarrior stated...for years we've wanted to drink the Tiger Kool-aid! They just keep breaking our hearts. I..unfortunately..will say that there will only be ONE game against Lawrence County. They will not meet in the playoffs. It simply will NOT happen. In the West, you will probably have these teams; HC, HC, Northside, Ridgeway, Craigmont, Melrose, Mitchell, and maybe Munford or the last 5A team out of district 10. Given those teams...Melrose and Mitchell will probably be the best 2 teams in the bracket..followed by Henry Co. then Ridgeway & Hardin Co. There WILL BE a Memphis team that wins a 1st Round game on the road...it can happen and it WILL happen! The question is, who will win it and where will they win it! So...the very idea that the there will be a rematch between Lawrence Co. and Hardin Co. is laughable. However, this game between Hardin Co. and Brighton is very intriguing! This is a game that has become a very good and competative rivalry since Brighton joined Region 7-AAAA in 2005..as the series remains tied 2-2 over the last 4 years! Although, Brighton won last year but seem to struggle playing in Savannah. This seems to be one of the most interesting games this week across Tennessee. Come Tigers...show the rest of the state something!! under the new format it makes perfect sense to pay a school to come play that you know you can beat. PAY ATTENTION!! Wild cards will come down to overall win -lose record at some point.

Seems like HC is beating teams with D this year vs previous years. Regardless of who they have played ,7 points per game on D is not bad. THis weeks game with Cardinals in high gear offensively should be a good one. The defensive unit is giving up 4 a game. 14 came by 2 kickoff returns and 7 by int for touch. Looking at the total points scored can skew things a bit.

I try to keep up with all the 5A squads as I do follow Hardin County. Defense, ball control, physical play, BIG HITS and more defense. That is what got HC to 7-0. Team has good senior leadership and a group of underclassmen that are football players. Offense is pro set, smash mouth behind a big physical, well coached offensive line with a couple of those weighing 300lb. HC has not thrown the ball much with good reason but it is there and will be when necessary. There is talent at the receiver position as there has been in years past. On paper, looks like we got a tough run the next 3 weeks. I dont expect the defense to give up more than 14 in any of those games and none of the 3 will hold HC to less than that. But those games still have to be played, our kids still have to execute, and maybe the ball will bounce our way. This group of kids got the tools to beat any 5A team in the state. Biggest challenge might be Mitchell or Melrose as their team speed could be an issue. But how you handle speed; contain and punish on D, ball control on O. For you Henry County supporters the last 3 years are well the last 3 years not the present year.

Actually it will be tough road for Hardin County from here on out. Need to win out the regular season district games to secure home field in the first round. The first game might not matter with Lawrence County. It could come down to the second. No a 2A shouldnt be able to play with a 5A but some folks thought they would. Doesnt matter game over. Havent got any info on Brightons strengths but believe they like to throw the ball. The old wide receiver screen killed us last year. Least that was better than the "dreaded fullback dive" at East. I dont see their line and linebacking core dominating this game. They have not dominated any quality opponents. Got beat by Munford which is having a horrible time adjusting to the new coaching system. They beat a subpar Covington team 14-7. Edged out Bartlett by a few points.

Hopefully they are not gun shy from the physical pounding they took Friday night. Time to throw those "old silver helmets" and "strap um up tight" since they found out what that was all about.

One game at a time. Next week is well next week. Lets not get ahead of ourselves. The Tigers are getting attention and working on getting respect. They have clearly been more physical than anyone in their district. They overmatched and punished a good 2A Adamsville bunch whose fans just thought they could hit until last week. The Tigers will focus on Brighton and use power football to get it done. Might be getting time to open up the air attack to prepare for the playoffs.

He got you guys pretty good with the Buffalo Bills comment though but I would much rather be the Hillsboro Buffalo Bills than the Philedalphia Eagles of Henry County. unfortunately freak luck counts. maybe hillsboro want have a run of it Friday. something tells me neither team gonna need luck to win this game. i may have to travel into nashville and watch this one. i usually just wait to the finals and sit through 3 games on saturday but this game may be better than the 4A title game this year.

but that score was in the first quarter and I just responded to your statement. been reading these boards a couple years and have followed closely this year in 4A. You guys are gonna have to put pressure on the quarterback which might involve sending a linebacker which in turn could create a whole other problem in coverage. McFerron I believe to be the X-Factor in this game on both sides of the ball plus Allen having about 150 on 25 touches to keep Hillsboro offense on the sideline.

56 points does not qualify for a track meet need to get into the 70s for that unless of course it is 63 to 7 then that is just a blow out. let your "FACTSONLY" go the first time but since you continue your boast I find it necessary to remind you of the Fairley game. Lets recall the facts: Henry Co three and out to start; Fairley scores on 70+ plus run and catch; Henry Co 3 and out; Fairley turns the ball over on downs after moving the ball into Henry territory. Fairley executes and your down 2 touchdowns. Plug in a much better Hillsboro team with better atheletes and you can begin to see the picture of a 21-6 first quarter. The 6 cause your kicker is prone to miss on occassion, granted he has had numerous opportunities and not many are perfect, that could hurt but hopefully for you guys it will not be an issue. Yea #3 and #1 can play at the next level. So #3 locks down on Gordon. #1 gonna cover the rest, not this Friday.

ok. so the third comes in the start of the 2nd quarter instead of the end of the first. point is to many recievers to cover and short, quick passing game that exploits secondary, lbs covering the flats as well as back out of the backfield. hillsboro will score quick. henry county coaching staff will adjust. best case scenerio for henry county is grounding out the clock and keep hillsboro of the field. henry county is a powerhouse football team. you guys actually will fair better in this match up with ball control if it turns in to a track meet then i got to give Hillsboro the edge.

Again parity and controlled cost. Three teams decided to move. The board made a decsion to try and make each classification equal in numbers and stick it to HC/ME for God knows what reason. Gaddis tells the Tennessean, "we will play where ever the TSSAA tells use to play", school administration obviously feels differently, proposal made, results yet to be determined. Better than Days of Our Lifes?

If TSSAA accepts the Henry County and Morristown proposal then that will open the door for all schools at the top and bottom of each classification to request a change. Excluding the bottom of 1A and the top of 6A of course.

As stated not a perfect system. As for the 2 schools being 5A yes that is correct but there was no guarantee that they would be 5A due to the cut off points being set after the movement of schools. But since I am wrong then tell me your understanding of the logic for the movement of schools? How did TSSAA determine the cut offs for the classifications then? Maybe the solution was to set the classifications by enrollment only, forget their attempt at creating parity and allowing schools strained financially for lack of support to move clasifications to cut down on travel expense. Very debatable topic.

Ok. I never was clear on the original line drawing line b/w 5a and 6a. Makes me wonder is TSSAA actually counted trying to get close to equal numbers in each classification or they decided the cut of for 5A was max 1399 enrolled. Surely they just didn't pull 1466 out of the hat without some logic. Good luck on your proposal but like you said it really isn't important.
