not whining....read my other posts. I was addressing an obvious issue with sportsmanship. Didn't say it had anything to do with the outcome, did I? Read it again........

what this is........tacky......but what would one expect from Smyrna. Looks like the fans have a problem as well. Remember, "you reap what you sow".......it's a long way down for a trash talker. And, it will come.....

They will be replacing a QB(McChurch), FB/RB/LB(Majors), TE/DT(Adkins), DT(Newell), C(Bochette), G/LB(Cranford), CB(Shannon), K(Matheson). Returning will be the BIG HITTERS Neville and Rottero. On Defense: WC returns Agee NG, Rottero LB, Poole LB, Brooks DB, Neville DB, Simmons DB. On Offense : WC returns Poole FB, Brooks WB, Raines WB, McMurray SE, Stewart SE, Hudson SE, Clemmons OL, Muncy OL, Rottero OL, Neville FB, Simmons WB These are the starters or those who saw significant playing time this season. As you can see, WC is a fairly young team with talent ready to shine and hopefully, leaders ready to step in.

well, I for one would take McChurch in a 1on1 with Wilks in the open field. Majors stiff armed Wilks really bad 2 times. McChurch is every bit as tough. The issues flatandfast was talking about deals with "class." And winning with "class." The only reason you didn't act up in Lincoln Co. is because you knew those country boys might just take a whippin' to you off the field. The QB was not going to have a first down unless he beat Wilks, and he would have just pushed him to the ground. Regardless, Smyrna won the game. But, they knew they had been a game on Friday night. They had to work for everything they got against a WC team that did not play their best. The 2 teams were very evenly matched. There has to be a winner and a loser. Last night, Smyrna came out on top. All this to say, WC has nothing to be ashamed of. It was a small senior class in numbers, but huge in heart and leadership. Thanks for the 4 years of great football, you are the class with the most wins ever over a 4 year period. Good luck in all you do to Shannon, McChurch, Majors, Partridge, Matheson, Newell, Majors, Crutchfield, Adkins, Bochette, and Cranford. You will be remembered and missed.

Isn't it amazing that if someone makes an observation that is contrary to your personal beliefs or opinions, that you feel it is your right to insult them. You must be a democrat.....oh, wait, can I say that on here? You are looking through rose colored glasses if can't notice unsportsmanlike athletes from Smyrna

well, those who know me know that I am a very opinionated person ( that's why I don't post anymore than I do) I try and be fairly objective when I can. But I had forgotten about the way Smyrna acted last season at the clinic bowl. They really are not a very CLASSY team, but I guess they are willing to trade that for the success they have experienced. Last season against WC, a Smyrna player sucker punched a WC player on the sideline after a play was over. Just balled up his fist and punched him in the jaw. They are representing region 4-5A, but unfortunately not in a very classy way ( unless they change their ways) p.s. that officiating tonight was about the worst I have seen this season. As a friend of mine would say, "They didn't know their (butt) from a hole in the ground"

this is crazy.....building a shrine to high school kids....so silly

okay, you just argued against yourself. You said nobody was giving Smyrna the respect they deserve, then stated that "barely half" are picking Smyrna to win...... You know, sounds like that everyone thinks that this will be an even match-up and anyone can win it. Which is a pretty fair assessment as far as I am concerned. Did you really believe that there would be over-whelming support for Smyrna? A 50-50 shot? I say WC has earned the right to have those odds against the "mighty Smyrna Bulldogs." It's not a lack of respect, it is a team that has given people a reason to take notice. Should feel pretty familiar, you were in the same spot last year. The team that wins this one is the one that wants it the most. Period.

oh, please.....no one is disrespecting you. Did you not read my post? It makes a whole lot more sense than yours. Take a look, you'll see. You Smyrna posters are talking foolish...... WC knows who Smryna is......I hope you can say the same about WC. That is the team that has had to earn respect since game 1.

yeah, nobody is falling for the "bulletin board" material you are trying to post for Smyrna. Everyone knows they are the state champs, everyone knows they have big-time players........get serious, it's not working on me, and shouldn't on the players. Here's the big issue. WC comes in wanting revenge. Screw last week, it's over. It means very little if WC doesn't win this one. A great senior class lost their final home game of their careers to Smyrna. Smyrna ruined senior night. And, WC played well enough to win. Just didn't get it done. This week is for redemption, and a chance to play at home one more time and walk off of Wildcat field as the winners they are and walk off with an opportunity to play for a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. One chapter at a time, one game at a time.

just got home from celebrating. I said I can admit when I am wrong. HUGE props to the GURU (Elrod) !!!! what a gameplan on offense and defense, and cannot say enough about the execution by the players. Let's go guys,ride this thing all the way home. You've come too far to stop now.

no way does Riverdale blow out Central. 12 points is the max margin of victory for either team.

I think I know you flatandfast. I will not reveal your identity but I think we have worked together in the past. Of course I don't know why they make things such a big deal. Just let someone have an opinion and then let it go. Just tell me, flatandfast, are you always right?

I am glad that WC was able to get Elrod back. Don't know how they did it, but they did, and it has worked out great for them. I hope he has put in a great gameplan for Riverdale. As for who I am, I am not just going to throw my name out here, but approach me and I will tell you. I am not ashamed of anything I have said on here, and will repeat it. Maybe you can even clear up some of my questions. I am not hard to talk to or reason with. If I hurt some feelings, that was not the intention.

you know...there is something else that is bothering me, and then I am letting this go.....Just because I am not a part of the "Good Ol' Boy" coach's network that thinks they run things around here does not mean that I do not know my football. That is why I am the New Age Outlaw. You guys need to understand that you are not the all-knowing football geniuses, and that no one can compare to you. Recognize that you are not the only ones that have something to offer to the game of football. If agreeing with you blindly, no questions asked, is a pre-requesite(sp) for this site; then the site needs to be renamed or very specific guidelines need to be issued. I believe in the old school with a new twist...and that twist is honesty. I have as much right here as you do, and would put my football IQ up against anybody, any day. That is why I ask questions. If I don't understand something or do not know something, I will ask. If I am wrong, I will admit it. But don't challenge me on the things I do know, and don't call me stupid just because I don't agree with you. That is immature and childish and I will not stand for it. This site is not about you. It is about high school football. It is about the greatest game on the planet. Now get over yourself. I rest my case.
