That's true all 3 will be ranked but those ranking didn't mean nothing last year. Manassas was so much better then Lake Co that it was unreal. Westwood, Middle College, and City University are all conenders trust me. They will not get no love because they are unknown across the state. 2nd they all play much stronger schedules then any 14A team so they will have more lost then them so voters won't give them any love. 4th when substate comes we will see how good the team is that comes to Memphis!!! How is Taylor doing at southwest?

Jackson Northside is in 3A this year so I don't think Casey will win it. Joe Jackson will win this year after being robbed a year ago. This year it will be Joe Jackson, Casey pratcher,and Adonis Thomas finalist in 3A. In 2A it will be Chris Crawford, Jalen Steele, and TJ from liberty tech or Cartrell Peterson from Manassas.

Not so fast my friend. Crawford can really shoot it. But there is alot more to the game than shooting the 3, which is about all I have ever seen him do. Jalen Steele, Kedren Johnson, Tarius Johnson, are all 3 better than Crawford in my opinion. I would have to give Steele the edge because of his leadership, ability to score inside/outside and also his ability to come through in the clutch as evidenced by those 2 gold balls he has hoisted. What do you base "all three being better than Crawford" on? I am unbiased and a big fan of Steele, TJ, and Johnson and have seen all play. Crawford ain't no joke and many big time programs are vying for his services. All four are great payers and all had great spring/summers on the circuit. Jay Murphy is another good one but he ain't on the level of Crawford. Just like two years ago when Reggie Buckner was robbed of Mr. Basketball!!! (2008 MJ Brown) Its clear MJ was not on the same level as Buckner!!! UTM -vs- SEC lol!!! MJ unranked -vs- Buckner #29 in the nation!!! lol!! Why is Crawford the only 1 with HIGH MAJOR OFFERS??? I love TJ from tech and people got to stop looking @ him as just a undersized 4... he play the 4-5 @ tech but in AAU he showed he could play on the wing and handle the ball @ a high level...I think he will go mid-major and be a sleeper like Tyler Stone to mizzou this year..nobody saw that coming!!!

Kedren Johnson right? I saw this kid play about 3 times. You cant even put him and Crawford in the same conversation! If KJ played in Memphis he would be an above average player...If he played big memphis 3A ball he would get about 10pts per game. People wont to talk about Sheffield not having a g0od coach...well in his 1st year as a head coach he lead them to the schools 1st ever state tourney. He takes over after Shiane Gibson left for east high..Shiane always had much more talent then sheffield had this year but they never made it out of the regionals in memphis under him.

in 2A ball u have crawford, casy pratcher, and TJ from tech! all the others guys are mid 2 low major guys! Crawford is 6'4" 190 4real! tjalen steel is a low-major d-1 player. everybody and the momma been calling 2 offer crawford! Crawford can do much much more then shoot!

Liberty is a great program but without COACH DEXTER WILLIMS ON THE BENCH CALLING ALL THE SHOTS THEY WILL NOT BE THE SAME TEAM!!!! Not saying Tech wont be good cause they will but without Dexter (the best coach in the state) they will not be the same team. ok he will still work with them @ practice but if he not on the bench calling the shots they will not be the same team. ok he will be in the locker room @ halftime but thats still not on the bench for the second half. If coach wuilliams is head coach on the bench then liberty is the team to beat!!! If not Manassas returns 12 out of 15 players and has added 3 more studes. i wont say there name yet but they were all starters @ other schools last year. Two of them played with TJ on the mid-state ballerz summer team Manasas head coach won coach of the year back in 2003 when Manasas was in the old 15AA. Guess who was in that district with him? Coach Henning (Ridgeway) Coach Adams (ral-Egypt) these guys voted for coach harris Manasas head coach won coach of the year back in 2005 also in 2A when Manasas beat the mighty btw team twice that season. Guess who was in that district with him? coach Bratcher (Carver state champs coach from 1999) Manassas head coach also won coach of the year 3 more times in 1A 62-7 record over the past two seasons 83-18 record over the last three seasons Over the last three years with wins over Melrose 4, Craigmont 3, Carver 5, Hamilton 3, Mitchell 2, Central 2, LIBERTY TECH 1, Humboldt 2, and many more! Finished the season ranked 2nd only behind the 3A champs Ridgeway (2008) in the commercial appeal and Finished ranked 3rd only behind 2009 state champ white station and 2009 runner-up ral-egypt. Manassas 2008 state runner-ups, 2009 state champs. You dont do all these things being a POOR coach!!! Manassas head coach has coached 46 seniors in 8th seasons @ Manassas. 41 of them have gone to college. 24 of them have recieved basketball schollys. 9 of them recieved schollys in other areas thanks to coach harris ans staff. Manassas played there worst game of the season and still beat HUMBOLDT!!! If Manasas had played with the same fight they had when they beat craigmont last season it would have been over @ the half...yes the same craigmont who beat 2009 3A State Runnner-up Ral-Egypt, 2009 3A State champs white station last season!!!!!!!!! SO all the haters can just hate on!!!!!!!!!! SEE YALL @ STATE

Manassas is once again loaded!!! Sheffield will be the other Memphis team in 2A...BTW ill be nothing this year with newby gone to Melrose. Mitchell will finish last in there district and will be 1 of the worst teams in school history Manassas will come out of the west because if they see Liberty i most likely will be # Manassas or @ State. Coach Willams is not the coach anymore and he was a big part of that team! Bigger then any player they have coming back

Joe Northington (Manassas) goes for 45pts Sunday with the Mid State Ballarz 16u team. Marcus Holloway (Manassas state mvp) averaged 23pts ppg Anthony Green and Cartrell Peterson (manassas) came up big in the finals game and lead the 17u team to victory Manassas moves up to 2A but I think another state title is in reach. I didn't even mention Shaq Walker a returning starter as well.

Big Marvin has a motor. his will and determination will get him over the top. Marvin needs to grow about 2 more inches to be a mid-major college player but at 6'6 240 he is a beast!!!

They either didn't no the rule or didn't care because they wore there Humboldt practice shorts with the Jackson heat jersey. I was at that tourney in Memphis. about 8 had the shorts on then they had about 4 more HB players with other shorts on.

I wish Coach Adams the best. I really think he should have looked at Tennessee Juco jobs because Miss can only have 3 out of state players on the team. So the people who think NW will be the new U of M are so wrong.

I tried to tell yall that the entire story was a lie and the Humboldt people made it up! Manassas players and Humboldt fans in altercation following game Gannett Tennessee Wednesday, March 18, 2009 An altercation took place in the Murphy Center following Humboldt's game with Manassas that local police broke up, according to TSSAA assistant executive director Bernard Childress. STORY TOOLS Childress said no one was arrested and no one has been suspended from the tournament. Childress said he spoke with the police officer, who investigated the incident. He was told by the officer that a Humboldt fan pushed a Manassas player exiting the arena. The unidentified Manassas player swung and hit a teenage, female Humboldt fan, Childress said. Police could not determine the player involved, Childress said. Humboldt coach Thomas Boykin said it was Manassas 6-foot-8 star and Ole Miss signee Reginald Buckner - a Mr. Basketball finalist - that hit the Humboldt fan. He said Manassas' Marcus Holloway, who hit the game-winning 3-pointer with three seconds remaining, also got involved after Buckner. ???Buckner hit one of our girls in the head,??? Boykin said, adding he didn't know many details of the incident. He said no Humboldt players were involved. Boykin said the girl said she didn't shove a Manassas player. However, Boykin's statement contradicts what he told police investigating the incident. Childress said the officer investigating the incident was told by Boykin that Buckner was not involved and wouldn't say who was involved. Boykin later said he never was questioned by an officer. However, that officer identified Boykin in the crowd during one of the Class AA quarterfinal contests as the person questioned. key statement when someone gets physical with him! well...why are other player allowed to get physical with him? the refs always allow people to push him around. run under him when he jump! but qhen he starts to get physical its a problem! lol! 2nd why did the refs allow #2 from UC to stomp #5 sean kearney in the head last year in the state title game? he was not tossed! those refs missed other calls because all three was watching Buckner! they wanted to toss him and they did it! It didn't work MANASSAS still won the game!

those refs were out to get Buckner from the start! i saw a kid flip Joe Northington over in the grace game nothing was called! i hate that grown men are picking on this kid!

watch the tape for me again. look for Buckner falling to the ground a few times. #5 and #54 went under him everytime he would jump! they would try to cut his legs off. #5 didn't even look for the ball the time Buckner fell on his hip real hard! nobody will talk about this. UC did the same thing last year cut his legs out when he would jump. people dont wont to talk about this stuff!
