It was almost an 8AA sweep. Sorry Cannon lost, they have a good team. Two of the other 3 games were competitive. The LA game went the way I expected. The Upperman game was down to the wire and so was the York game. There should be some good games Tuesday, I look forward to watching the Dragons get another shot at pulling the stingers out of the Bees, and watching LA take on Grundy. both games should be competitive.

Well guys other than what everyone thinks will happen in the LA vs Bledsoe game what do you think about the rest of the games in Region 4AA?

From where I was sitting after Coach Melton asked Wheaton about a call he went off on C.M. and then started calling fouls left and right against LA, and left Upperman to do pretty much what they wanted. Thats my opinion, and Im a York fan.

Hey guys what do they go by to decide who makes the all tournament team?

In my opinion the refs have been worse during the tourny than the regular season. For the boys and girls both.

No disrespect meant to anyone. I believe coach Melton deserved COY because he has done great job with a younger team. I was just stating that my opinion that I felt that coach Wright Deserved some praise. Not that he was more deserving than coach Melton

No disrespect to coach Melton on getting the COY he deserves it. I believe that coach Wright does also. He took a team that did't even make the tourny last year and was only a few points away in 3 games of being in the number one spot. Of course coach Melton took a team that lost several seniors and is in the #1 spot. Maybe somewhere down the rode they might come up with an award for most improved team.

The district coaches vote on the players. They go by who do they game plan for on defense.

These are some outstanding players mentioned. I find it hard to believe no one else has someone to mention because there is some good players on the other teams.

It seems LA and York are the only ones in 8AA doing anything at the end of the season. I look forward to seeing some good games at district if thes two play each other. Go Dragons

York came up with a huge win at Upperman last night. First time in years I know of that happening. York even played awful the first half. I believe we could see some good games at tech this year. LA is looking better since I saw them last also. LA is still top. 1 LA 2 Upperman 3 York 4 Cannon 5 Dekalb 6 Smith This is how I see the season ending

For what it is worth LA played 9 players and York played 8. It was a fast paced game and I am sure both coaches was giving breathers to key players. That is just my opinion. Yes I am a York fan, and I think Coach Melton is a good coach. Go Dragons

My hat goes off to LA they came into York last night And came away with a victory. Both teams played good. LA played just a little bit better. If some else other than #12 could have hit their outside shots it might have been a different out come. The bottom line is LA worked for the win and they got it. MAybe in the district tourament these two will meet again. Congragulations to a good LA team.

Congrats to LA for beating a good Cannon team. Both teams will get better as the season goes on. By the way pianoman York has yet to play their best offensive game. They to will improve as the season goes on. LA may not be what they was last year but they still have some very talented boys and a great coach. I'm a York fan and I think Coach Melton is a winner.

Thank you all for the vote of confidance. You need to remember that the York basketball team has only had 4 practices. You might think they are average but as the season goes on they will get better just like everyone else will. I will agree last night in the end LA came out on top. You say LA played poorly, but I believe York played pretty good defense. I still think LA is the team to beat in the district though. It doesn't matter alot what happens in the season as long as you can win enough games to make it to the touramant on a roll both on defense and offense is what really matters.

Last nite was the first game back for Yorks seniors. They didn't start the game because they had only one practice since football. they entered the game with 3 minotes to go in the 1st quarter with York down by 15. Then in the 3rd quarter the underclassmen came back in and the deficit went back up. At the start of the 4th quarter York was down by 14 and lost by 4. When the seniors get their basketball legs back and they knock off some rust they will be hard to beat.

York lost its first 2 games They lost by 18 to Midway and by 20 at Bledsoe. This was without any of their starters they were all still playing football. They beat knoxville ambassadors Saturday by 15 with one of their seniors back. They will get their first test tonite against the Bobcats.

York always travels well with fans. By the way the team that is suppose to win doesn't always win. Anyone can be beat.

The district will be more competitive than people think. The district will go through LA but the other teams have some good players. Dekalb has several seniors that play hard Cannon has a good team York has several seniors that have played ball together their whole lives. Smith has some talented players,and Upperman is always tough. LA still has some good players but they did lose some players that were a lot better than the ones they have now. So I don't beleive it will be a cake walk but I do believe there will be some battles.

York is playing Stone and Midway for Hof games. I do believe the district will be more competitive this year. The edge will still be with LA till someone knocks them off. I don't mean any direspect to any of the other teams. because cannon and Dekalb have some really good players returning just like York does. All these teams have got to be mentally tough and focused to slay the wildcats because that is what they will try to do to everyone else.

All the teams in the districk have some very good players. It will come down to who wants it more each night. I am a York fan but I believe the road goes through LA until someone in the district proves they can hang with them.
