  1. Looks like its gonna be another W for Greeneville. Glad to see all the fans gettin on here and showin support for the teams, well not all the fans. The ones that actually know what theyre tlkn about. Hope its a terrible game for you guys up in bulldog country. Good luck to Greenville though. I was wondering though, why is it always bcsc that is the one talking smack and never actually knowing what he/she is talking about. You can research some stats/records/topics before you get on here and flap those gums without having any knowledge on any subject pertaining to football except the final score. Good game against CG and CC which we shouldve won but hey what can ya do? I agree that claiborne has some players but I cant say that they are as big as all this hype(mostly from mr know it all bobcat). good luck to greenville, hope its a 90 point game, and goodluck in the playoffs. CGHS72 keep holdin it down strong cause shew, everybody knows that we need somebody with some football knowledge on these forums. GVILLE: Whatever they want Claiborne: Whatever Gville wants em to have
  2. Hey Gap, boys you gotta step it up!!! At Rebel hill you were awesome offensively and looked like a college throwin and passin at will in a great game. Now you guys are lookin like a stagnant half-hearted bunch of kids. It is time to look at eachother and say I wanna make plays to win and go out there and do it. You can talk and say all you want but the heart and effort has to be in it in practice and especially the game. I truly believe that you are better than what youve shown and thats what is so frustrating is to know you could be undefeated right now but not keeping the mind on what it needs to be on is becoming a huge problem. You can be a great team if you want to be, so lets show it. Good luck to Gibbs and I hope the trip down here is all good but I hope you leave with a L, thats just the fan and sportsman in me. See ya at the game. *Scores based on if Gap plays like 2 weeks ago Gap - 49 Gibbs - 40
  3. CG has to do one thing and that is stop the Boles express...game over CG-35 WG-21
  4. This was how long ago? Both teams have improved im sure and you cant place much merit in a pre-season jamboree. 2 more days!!!
  5. CG's jv played UC's last night and played very well. It may have just been a jv game but these kids are playing well for their ages. Franklin, Hale, Estes, Lorens. All these kids are up and comers and I cant wait til friday.
  6. Not sure how this one is gonna play out this week. CG played well and their line surprised the heck out of me by actually getting out on screens and opening up holes for the running game. Shipley was as good as billed and threw for 212 yds with 2 td's and 2 rushing td's as well. This gives me great confidence in them for a couple reasons. 1. They had heart and wanted it. 2. They have put the injury bug behind them and looked to the future instead of thinking about who is on the sideline. 3. Younger players have stepped up and showed they can play. I have watched some of these kids play since 6th and 7th grade and now they are showing out on the field what they can do in high school. I usually keep up with SG and see what they are doing but I really dont know much about them this year. Last year on Rebel Hill wasnt one of our finer moments but I am hoping we can turn it around and pull one out. If CG plays well then I think we can atleast keep it close and maybe pull one out. Good luck to my boys, all of them and I will be there hopin its a good one. CG-27 SG-20
  7. Good job WG, I remember playing you guys about 3 yrs ago and no offence but it was terrible because yuo guys had no direction. Im glad that you are competing and building a program down there that will win some games for these kids. I love to see a bad program turn around, good luck and keep it up.
  8. Bobcat, you dont want me to search the archives and find all the stuff you said about the Gap last year!!! What I said was not even close to some of the things you have dropped on this board. Its all good though. If Claiborne would have won then it wouldnt have bothered me at all but I will never want them to win and I could care less if the k-ville teams pull for us or not. I pull for the teams that I want to win no matter where they are at. I heard it was 16-0 at one point with Gibbs being up, so what happened to turn the game around and make it so close?
  9. Obviously you have no idea what is going on in the Panthers camp!!! Their second string QB(FR. Blake Franklin) and the ONLY backup has had back problems and has maybe practiced 5 days in 3 weeks. He hasnt been able to put the time in with the team to be able to get a good feel on what he is doin. And im sure that the coaches didnt want to risk re aggrevating his back even more. And the Union D wasnt getting any pressure so there was no fear that Shipley was gonna get hurt. So before you criticize the coaching staff, know your facts.
  10. Good luck Gibbs, hope its not even close!!!
  11. First of all i'm glad to see that some of our critics have come to the good side. Next, i'm hoping that all these great predictions will come to fruition. IMO I think that CG will have to play hard every week because of the injuries that they seem to be suffering from. Having said that, if a miracle finds its way to the panthers and we get everybody healthy and keep them healthy AND get them into game shape then we will be a very very good team. That isnt looking like the case but hey, ya never know. Before friday I hope the line mans up and decides to block because if they do not then it could be a very long night. For the Panthers to win a lot of games this year they will HAVE to have strong line play. Shipley has to be able to throw it a little bit, and after coming off of the season he had last year we know he can do it. Scrambling out of the pocket wont cut it every single play. Other than those two concerns (health, blocking) I am confident that the panthers can get at worst 3rd in the division. Hope i'm rght.
  12. I would be interested in hearing from the CG fans that attended the Grace scrimmage what their take was. I heard that Grace pretty well dominated. Is that correct? Dominated is a very strong word. To say that Grace played extremely well and CG didnt play all that great would be more accurate. Grace seemed very athletic and very fast. CG's line did not block well that game and Grace took advantage by blitzing the house and everything else. In the end I would say that Grace won by 1 or 2 td's. And if I remember correctly 1 of CG's tackles were not 100% and their starting right guard didnt play.
  13. So now that the pads are on and we have been able to get a good look at our team how does everybody think the Panthers are gonna do? We have scrimmaged Grace, GP, and Jellico. Coming into the season we were wondering about CG's o-line and i'm still wondering personally. Only time will tell and time is running out before the first game on Aug 28. Will CG be ready? Personally I think that we will do fine if we have a few receivers step up and fill in for Whitt Willis who is possibly out for the season. Whats everybody elses take on it?
  14. soooooo.....you are saying that the local tooth brush salesman is struggling? What if I set up a chewing backer and generic smokes stand.....could I pay my mortgage this month? You could buy Bell county if you did that...and please throw in a free spit bottle so we wont eventually drown in the dip spit
  15. Sometimes it takes a coach to use profanity to bring out a little fire in a kid, but not all great coaches cuss. I do not see what selling beer on sundays has to do with this forum but it really doesnt belong. The bible belt is a good place, but no room for it in here talkin about football.
