  1. How's Halls doing in state? Oh wait, my bad. Carter is a much better player than this Beeler kid. Did he hit against Farragut's #3 pitcher? No. Quit complaining about everything Halls fans, and just accept you are an average team.
  2. Hate to say it, but I have got to question that too. A kid who is "the #1 prospect in the country" should have more than 6 wins and should DEFINITELY pitch the first game of the state tournament. SH has just royally screwed themselves out of a championship. Even if he is tired, you do whatever you have to to win the state championship. Pfeifer threw another complete game shutout tonight, adding to his legacy at Farragut. No doubt Norris is a great talent, but no one can doubt Pfeifer is the best "pitcher" in the state, especially in big games.
  3. Questionable call right here I think.. Why not throw Norris??? He's had since friday to rest. Now it's going to be MUCH more difficult for SH to make it out of the bracket, and that's being nice. Very odd move.
  4. Farragut has two top D-1 level pitchers in Pfeifer and Williams. I think this helps them greatly and they should win their side. Bottom bracket is a toss up because who does SH turn to after Norris? Mt. Juliet could win it as well, tough 1st round matchup. I think Farragut makes it to the championship and wins a close one over Mt. Juliet 4-1.
  5. http://www.tssaa.org/2009Champions/Stat ... /State.htm There's the schedule.. what does everyone think is going to happen? Who wins it all??
  6. ....yawn. Davy Crockett has some, let's just say, "less than classy" fans. sore losers.

    3aaa vs 4aaa

4-AAA>>>>3-AAA. Bearden can definitely beat halls if they come out cocky. Farragut can put 10+ up on ANYONE in the state on any given night, especially a pitcher from powell haha.. Well, that little sophomore lefty from Powell shoved it up Farragut's butt for 7 whole innings. Far from the 10 runs you so arrogantly predicted. Phillip pitched a great game and so did Drake. TheFarragutJuniorCollege, even though all you do is run your mouth on here and piss everybody off....I will still be pulling for the Admirals if they do get to Murfreesboro. I know you're from the Clinton area so I'll give you a bit of a break on this one, but if you READ what I said, then you will read (or someone can tell you) what was actually wrote. And what I said was Farragut CAN put 10+ on anyone, CAN being the key word. So they put up 2, so what? Powell scored none, zero, cero, zip, nothing. So if I recall the rules of baseball correctly, then that means they WON. I wasn't there, but I'm sure the Owenby kid was a lefty throwing probably 76-80 mph with a slow curveball.. Farragut's always had trouble with those kids. So Congrats on your moral victory, I hope you hang a banner in the school that says "09-10 Powell Panters Baseball, District 3-AAA Runner-up, Region 2-AAA Semi-Final-Runner-Up, only lost to Farragut by 2"

  9. If you can't win with your ace on Day 1 of Regionals, you shouldn't be allowed to make state. The best teams show up big in big games, no need for double elimination. And why do you need representatives from 8 districts? If they aren't good enough to beat the lower seed from another district, they don't deserve to be there.
  10. Terribly unimpressive.. You'll probably lose to Bearden in regionals. I'm calling it now.
  11. Last two Farragut-Maryville games= 15-0. So they caught us once early on, big deal? Your schedule will haunt you. Playing the likes of HV, Powell, AC, CC, and Clinton every night aren't going to prepare you to face Pfeifer or Nick Williams. Good luck catching up to 90 mph gas after seeing 80 mph all season!
  12. Farragut will beat Halls, just like they always do..
  13. Here's an idea.. pitch better, that way you don't have to throw 146 pitches in a game. Didn't someone on here say he had 9 BB and 3 HBPs???? That's not very good for the "best 2011 prospect in the nation", especially in a high school game. Oh well, he'll be fine, it's not like his arm is going to fall off just because of one game. Let's be realistic here..
  14. Ethan Bennett is leading the NATION in home runs with 23.
  15. OH NO OUR SEASON IS RUINED!!!!!!! oh wait, we're 1st in the district, state, and top 25 nationally.. sucks to be us.
  16. I can tell you right now, he would have 21 no matter where he played, even if he played everygame on a big league field. Every bomb has been just that, a BOMB.
  17. What Halls doesn't realize is once they run into Phillip Pfiefer in regions after seeing 78-81 mph fastballs the whole season, their season will be done it one game, just like last year. Easy schedules look good on paper, but come back to bite you.
  18. ..that is what Farragut's catcher, Ethan Bennett has done. After two more last night, the latter being 450+ ft, he now has 21 on the year, breaking Farragut's record of 18. Congratulations to Ethan on such a great year so far, it couldn't have happened to a better kid!! Look forward to watching him play at the University of Tennessee next year!
  19. I am going to have to agree with the first poster. Coach Tate and the other "coaches" are running what was an up-and-coming baseball powerhouse into the ground. This is pitiful and sad to see, even for a Farragut grad like myself. It's not like they don't have the talent.. they return several contributors from last year's state tournament team: Stallings, Greene, Pasillas, Hamilton, Hullett, etc. This is just a simple case of the coaches not developing talent and placing it where it should be. I have had a chance to watch them on several occassions and they are just flat out terrible. The coaches continue to put pitchers on the mound who get shelled every outing, they obviously do not practice fielding/baserunning whatsoever (they've made 3+ errors every game i've been to), and their hitting is average 1-4 and just horrendus after that. IT'S TIME FOR A CHANGE!! Shake up the line up for once please, put some people out there who want to compete and be there, instead of kids who are happy with losing every game. I am personally embarrassed to call Bearden our rivals right now.. they couldn't rival a coach pitch team with the way they've played this year.. So "coaches", please do something to turn this around, this is an embarrassment for West Knoxville/District 4-AAA/AAA baseball as a whole.
  20. Halls 15 Soddy Daisy 8 Could Halls please play some easier teams?? This schedule full of powerhouses and prestigious tournaments must be wearing them down!!!
  21. They (SH) are most likely too busy enjoying their second district championship in a row and getting the loose ends tied up on their 5 college recruits. Probably not, they're just redneck bush leaguers. Save it for women's softball please.. Riverdale is also one of the worst, but once you put up a 10 spot on them, they tend to shut their mouths.
  22. Ethan Bennett from Farragut has been on fire lately. He has 9 HR's in his last FIVE games. He had 2 more against Bearden last night to bring his total to 15 on the year.
  23. Yeah, Raleigh and UT are idiots for not building a bigger pipeline in East TN.. think of what could've been.. Norris, Connell, Pfeifer, Curt Powell, Joey and Nicky Delmonico, Stallings, Cooper, Catapano (know they got him eventually), not to mention all the other great talent at Science Hill, DB, Bearden, Catholic, Halls, etc. Heck, you take those players right now and i guarantee they would be better than what UT has..
  24. Pfeifer struck out 16 and threw a complete game shutout against one of the best teams in Florida last week. In two game last week in FL (2-0) he threw 10 innings, struck out 25, and had no ER.
  25. Good one, too bad April Fool's was yesterday son. Who's the number 1 team in the country according to BaseballAmerica? Farragut. Maybe one day you will be relevent in baseball.. but not this year. Have fun relishing in your regular season "whooping" of Farragut 4-1. When you're #1 in the country let me know. Heck, when you're number 1 in any setting let me know.
