Smyrna u deserved the golden ball..period...everybody knows that. Indy had an AWFUL game...quite possible the worst game i've seen from them since the 2005 season. nobody saw indy play the way they could and should have played. honestly even if we played our best you prob. would have won (you guys are a phenomenal team with real talent). The team u played saturday may have been the worst team u played all season but the team u played saturday was NOT indy. they got nervous and choked...everyone has choked (except for Sonny bc he is....well just short of Tom Brady). We're happy about the silver ball...do you know why? -5 years ago indy didn't exist. -3 years ago our record was 1-9 -last year we missed the playoffs -at the end of last year our head coach left and a middle school football coach took over -and this year when after the first 4 games everyone counted indy out of the run -but we weren't We take pride in the Silver ball. the only person that says "second is only first loser" is a true champion bc a true champion wins and loses like a champion

you didn't make it... so stop crying about it. INDY played an aweful first half. everyone knows...but hey everyteam has a off game, INDY just had to have that game when it counted. its not funny to respect a team....apparently it is to u but "(u)havenofriends" need to get over yourself.

i personaly counted like a dozen passes that hit the recievers on the numbers....they just froze up. They desirved to be there no doubt and nobody can say they didnt. they just froze when it counted the most.... I love this INDY team. they have brought so much excitement and fun to my senior year. thanks for the Great year INDY.

No, hahaha Smyrna is an amazing team an deserved the big W. however TSSAA really needs to step up the reffing. many flags should have been thrown against both teams, many missed calls. the refs were terrible. but both teams had to play with the same refs and smyrna really showed why they were there and they left everything on the field. congrads smyrna and Great season indy.

Congrads Smyrna. Smyrna could have done that to any team period. the fact is that indy was there for a reason but choked the first half. It would have been a much better game if IHS showed up to play the first half. But...they didn't. the second half looked more like us. if only...if only. congrads Smyrna. first half smyrna total yards- 243 indy total yards- 42 (first three possessions of the game were turnovers). but it takes two halves to win a game. smyrna you deserve it.Smyrna.

He's talking about last four years of the program, first year varsity going 1-9, then Tommy Johnson's death, then narrowly missing the playoffs, to losing their coach (prob. a good thing but many schools wouldn't bounce back as fast), to losing our starting QB, to every game in the play-offs us being picked to loose. for exmple. we wouldn't be able to handle Antioch's athelets. we couldn't get past Franklin's D, NO way we could stop Millington's running game and no way we could win.... but we did. INDY is always underestimated, which is the way they like it. or in other words, overcoming adversity.

this game is going to be sick. the last 48 minutes of high school foot ball for about 50 seniors players and the last game of the year for both teams. I haven't been able to focus in class for the last 5 weeks.

his first step was out. i can see how Bearden said Smyrna has the refs. im not saying smyrna doesn't deserve to be here or that they "pay" the refs, but look at the video (he caught it in but ran straight out), no TD.

I don't think speed will be a problem for Indy. they played Millington, which has the fastest team period (there D was fast as anything). there is no way smyrna will compair in speed. however millington couldn't defend against the pass game, and i think that smyrna will play good pass D. Should be a good game. one player will not win the game, that's why i choose INDY to win bc they have a balanced attack that keeps the D guesing.

Isaac Baugh (27) is our best corner, i don't think he will "shut him down" (i dont think anyone can) but he wont allow much, and the throws will have to be PERFECT (i know sonny can do that but i mean PERFECT) to get it in.

It seems to me that Independence is in the same situation that smyrna was in last year. coming up against an evenly matched team that won the golden ball the year before. should be an AMAZING game. good luck to both teams.

Its that not smart? they tried to keep it away from the FASTEST backs in 5A football. they did just that. SMART football.

about the kicker call....he didn't touch the ball, if he tipped it it would have been a BS penalty but he didn't touch the ball. Lucky...please, you can't say 'YOU GUYS BELONG AT THE BORO.....YOU GUYS ARE ONE HECK OF A TEAM." then add lucky in there. It was heart. then NEVER lost heart. Down 21 to 6 and they still had heart. give respect were it's due, it was a hard fought victory.
