When an AD and Principal hire a head football coach, and he has a son that plays football and is in high school, then that kid is going to play over another kid, whatever position they play.   You have to be ready to accept that before you make the hire.

That is an unfair statement. Most coaches want to win and if they have a better player than their son the other one will play.

Sawyer Lovvorn scored 6 touchdown's in a single half of football--more impressive than Al Bundy's 4 touchdown's in a single game--and the following day, the local high school football show calls him Sanders Lovvorn (older bro/special teams coach)--that ain't right.

These Champions are coming for Respect now--they talking about leaving a Legacy--looking at the region, they could finish 8-2 if they play hard, smart, and together... Nobody is bigger, Nobody has more seniors, & the strength solution has been re-formulated for male athletes.  Regarding that solution fiasco that sent shockwaves through Wartrace-- and that most certainly affected the initial games of the season, an arrest was made last week.  I haven't been able to get the link to work, but I'll reproduce the story here to the best of my ability:

Long-time Forrest Rocket Football Boosters, Sum Ting Wong, Hugh Jass, and Drew P. Weiner, were apprehended inside of the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, FL last week on tampering charges relating to a rival football program, the Cascade Champions, strength solution.  It is alleged that Wong, Jass, and Weiner, disgruntled former employees of Star Supplements & Nutrition, contaminated shipments to Wartrace with soy and estrogen.

The article continues, but that mostly covers it---Players have cycled off of the nasty stuff and have been receiving the good stuff for the past week.  68-0

Community game recap: Finally Testosterone was flowing- and so was the offense & the line was plowing & Sawyer 'you can't arm-tackle me' Lovvorn shredded the Viking Defense.  All 3 Qb's played solid--Burris & Dowell are both a big play waiting to happen, & Kaden Hill is a big hit waiting to happen.  The defense is faster & more aggressive.  The kicker, Perez, has got to be the best in the region & there seems to be a competition between #7 & #12 as to who is going to make the tackle on kicks.

September will be a good month for the Champions, October likely even better...

Who did they beat ? The worst team in the state.

    Forrest is "real young" (sic).

Community should shutdown their entire football dept from pre-k to high school, for 3 years, then start over.  They make a train wreck look like the Creation Story.

Once you start football, you can't shut it down. Too much invested now.

My name is cascade Homer, Therefore, my homer score predictions do not necessarily reveal my true opinion.  Do you understand?  Cascade could finish 2-8 - I'm a homer, not a moron.  That being said, Cascade will beat Community by 50...

How bad is Community if Cascade can score 50?

Oh yeah… of course the defense is the strength of huntland‘s team, because offense generally requires a little more athleticism… Huntland has one nice receiver… But that is a non-athletic team, one cornerback looks athletic, I’m not seeing much else…

tonight’s kick off will be 10° cooler than the Richland kick off, I am expecting our trio of 300 pounders to get it in gear tonight and dominate…Cascade by 30

You only missed it by 23! And Huntland was missing starting QB.

5pts vs. MC = 30pts vs Huntland----The math also works using the Richland game---15pts vs Richland=30pts vs Huntland

    At least I hope!

Huntland defense is strength of team. Sounds like you are saying Cascade wins 30 to 0.

At the BCAT Girls Hoopfest in Lebanon we taught 20+ players how to properly run the shot clock in about 15 minutes. We had less than a handful of issues over the course of 3 days and around 100 games. As far as instalation and cost as the article stated was around $6000. I would think the BCAT and/or TSSAA could negotiate a deal with a company to provide the whole state with shot clocks at a reduced cost.  Rather than not discuss it for 3 years give schools a 3 year phase in process to absorb the cost over a period of time. This would also be split at almost all schools by the boys and girls basketball programs instead of one program like footall. I also think some school systems could/would add it within their budget if they knew when it would be implemented. That would be a drop in the bucket for most school systems. In my opinion the sWhortage of officials has no bearing on whether shot clocks should be implemented or not. Some may hang up the whistle for that reason, but officials get out of it or move up to the collegiate/professional ranks for various reasons and the shot clock shouldnt be singled out as the reason officials would leave the profession. It may also entice others to actually join an association in their area if they see that it aligns along the same lines as they games they watch on television. The game continues to evolve and the shot clock has benefits for all levels of skill, athleticsm, player IQ, and coaching strategy.

Watched one game where the clock wasn't reset properly 3 times. Clock is not needed for HS as most teams can't even hold it for 30 seconds . And 6k is very low end for cost, as I have heard more likely about 15k.
