This whole deal sounds like RBS football has a serious uphill battle with this QB Club. Motivated Bulldog Mom sounds like she wants to be the coach. Their only hope for success IMO is that the principal and superintendant will be on the same page with whoever they hire as HC. I've said on here in the past I hink RBS needs to shut football down and consolidate with Macon Co HS. RBS football has been a total joke since their beginning. Only ONE WINNING SEASON EVER (i think it was 6-4 in late 70's--not sure), they lost something like 80-90 in a row back in the late 80's-early 90's(does anyone from RBS have the facts on that..I just remember it being a huge amount? It was all over the news!) I say that RBS should be given one last chance to put a decent team on the field. From my friends in Lafayette I've talked to, they speak preety highly of Coach Baughn. I talk to a man from RBS and he thinks highly of him also. I'v heard he played at Gallatin HS back in their glory days and playoff runs. Maybe the higher ups in Macon will give him a shot. If he can't get them going , I say GO TIGERS! Get 7-8 boys from RBS and ship them 2 Lafayette to play football. I predict that RBS football will FOLD preety soon. Not enough boys over there. Also, the boys over there are just kinda wimpy traditionally--morev suited for basketball. I'm just being real so don't get mad...just get MOTIVATED, RBS !! Good Luck Bulldogs!!

Why can't they win?

Can anyone from Gallatin tell us why they are struggling? They used 2 be such a dominant team in the 80's and early 90's. I love those Green Bay Packer helmets and unis! Is everyone else catching up--parity--or could something be done differently to improve the program? Also, whatever happened to Oak Ridge, Lincoln Co., JCM, and Germantown? What happened 2 their dominance as well?

Any chance an outsider gets a look at the JCM or JSouthside? I've always loved that area of the state.

Any word on East Ridge, Lenoir City, or Eagleville positions?

Hope to see the Rebs improve next yr. and hope they stick with Coach Britton...he's a fine man.

Does your coach have connections with the coacht people? Keep us updated on the situation. Lotta people across the state follow RBS football because of your 58 game losing streak. Bulldog mom, I'm still trying to find out if the 0-50 coach will resign or be fired. What is the talk of the town there in RBS? Do people want him gone or what? Will he remain coach because of POLITICS? How did this thread asking the status of Red Boiling Sprs. football turn into a debate about jr pro fball? Get off of my post and start your own topic! FWIW, I think jr pro is good if run right--no crazy coaches. Still I ask, Is there anyone out there from RBS with some inside info on 0-50 Coach Boles and will he be fired or resign or should they just scrap the program? So far, looks like I was right about the lack of support...not even one RBS supporter has posted any comments. Do they have the internet over there yet?

So you're saying that LV was on a 58 game losing streak -or close to that- and then went 9-1? So I guess RBS just needs 2 hang in there till this happens? I feel so sorry for that bunch...I couldn't imagine that much futility. I still say kill the program. Go Rebs!

Does any from RBS know if Coach Tony Boles will resign or be fired? RBS owns the state's longest losing streak at 58 games!!! Coach Boles is 0-50 as head coach there. What gives? I here support for the football program is almost non existant and its a small, basketball community. A few yrs back I know they only had a handful of boys on the team--around 17-20. Should RBS just throw in the towel and scrap the football program? Seems like a total waste of time and taxpayer money if u ask me. Go Rebels!!

nobody has mentioned coach Tony Boles at Red Boiling Springs. Is he going to resign or be fired? Boles is 0-50 as Red Boiling Springs head coach!! Has he EVER won a game as a coach? RBS currently holds the states longest losing streak at 58 games!! Somebody from RBS, explain what's going on over there! Seems like this would be a great opprotunity for a new coach to turn the program around. WTH?
