Sounds like a pretty good player. I have heard he had some ankle issues and now he is back to full speed. Curious to see what type of year he has in Memphis. I'm sure he will have some stiff competition.

Anybody heard about this guy?? Heard he is a beast at 6'7 and has really helped St Benedict. Putting up some good numbers also. I hear he transferred in from Senegal. I'm curious to get a little more info about this player??

From what I hear St. Benedict and Briarcrest are favored in a tough west district. They both have great size and good young guard play. I know its early but SBA looked pretty good without their football guys Saturday against some pretty tough AAA competition in the likes of Germantown, Kirby, and Wooddale. Thsi should be a great year in Division II AA!

I hear St. Benedict will be much improved and should challenge the Big 3 in a tough west region!

What schools have Coach Marcum applied at??? From what I hear Coach is staying at Tempel and wanst to continue the dynasty according to the Times Free Press.

Temple vs. Lookout Valley is still on at 6:30 and 8:00. Homecoming festicities start at 5:45 and the guys will play at 6:30 followed by the girls at 8:00 in Vance gym.

Adn Temple is not 10-3 they are 14-2. These rankings are bogus!!!

Was a great tourney? That's past tense, meaning that the tourney is already over. I may be mistaken but I believe the tourney runs for three days, not two, with the final day being Tuesday.

Sounds like the coach must be doing a pretty decent job if he has his team of average-size girls, as you call them, hustling and playing fundamental basketball. And I don't know what you consider to be young, but if I'm not mistaken the Temple coach is 41 years old.

And its not as if Temple is any good this year. Geez. I believe they were 4-4 coming into today's game weren't they? With a 40-something point loss to CSAS to boot. And Temple was 11-17 a year ago, I believe, and is minus two key players (both posts) from that team. Nobody comes over and tells you how to keep stats during the game. You perhaps should maintain the same operating procedure when it comes to your views on opposing coaches.

I was at the game. Interesting comments on Temple's coach. What I saw was his team press the first half, not at all in the second half. Also the starters were pulled midway through the third quarter with the exception of one. And the reason he kept one starter in was because only nine girls dressed out so he had no other choice but to keep one starter in along with the four available reserves. He also played those reserves the rest of the third quarter and the entire fourth quarter. And played zone the entire fourth quarter. What else would you have him do? It isn't like this is the first time Hixson got beat like that this season. There's also something to be said for getting a team in shape and getting their feet back under them after a lengthy holiday break with a tough schedule looming right around the corner. In addition, perhaps Hixson would have been better off if Temple had kept pressing. Hixson scored 14 points in the first half when Temple was pressing and scored only 6 in the second half (0 in the third quarter) when Temple wasn't. I may be wrong, but I believe Temple only got 11 points from its starters in the second half, too, all in the third quarter. Perhaps you feel the way you do because you are dating the coach.

Thats it??? I wish I had the info. to post Sexton's 3 game weeks. You wouldnt be laughing then. He averaged 24 last year with 8 boards, 6 assists. Lets see. Addition means thats 84 points, 24 rebounds, and 18 asssists as a junior. Who posts 3 game week stats???? Manassas vs. Temple. If this game happens I hope Temple beats you 20, and that can happen!!!

Phillyfan I hope you know that Temple is not just a team you can walk over. I know Franklin has depth but Temple has 2 D-1 prospects and will be ready for your rebels. They are picked to win it all in 1A and have already beaten three triple A teams. If you dont watch it then Nashville will get a taste of the crusaders Thursday night. Man, that Hadix kid is good though. Is Starnes the best player or Hadix?? It seems that Starnes and Glover will really change the rebels offensive flow thus far?? Good Luck to both.

Do not overlook, a small 1A school in Chattanooga. They are on a mission and are top contenders to return to the boro. They have depth, heighth, and talent and have kids who are returning for their first games. I say Temple wins by 3. This game is going to be a good one. See you there!!!

Sexton. He can gaurd the ball....M.J. Brown.....he can pass.....10 dimes the other night....he can rebound....averages 8 reb.... he can score anyway he needs to outside and inside....30 points the other night....all around I take Sexton. Buckner is a great player, no question, but Sexton has it all. He is waiting to sign with the team that best suits him. He has about 5 D-1 offers. Of course, they aren't Ole Miss but he is not 6'9 he is 6'3. Just my opinion. Evrybody has one.

Jeremy Sexton I think is one of the best at his position. Buckner is not a PG/SG. He is a post. How can you compare the two? I do think Sexton will win Mr. Basketball. It will take more than Memphis to out vote Middle and East Tennessee. Good luck to both! They already say Sexton....
