  1. Ktown, I have no idea which of my teammates you are from the '98 team, but you have no common sense. I must have beaten out all your common sense on the practice field. Please don't compare the '98 team to any other team you were on. What years did you actually play on the field? Kingston stunk in '96 and '97 in a mediocre region (we should have been better than we were, senior leadership was lacking), ruled in '98 in a strong region, and was strong enough to make it to State Championship and lose by 1 to a team with way more tallent, but in '99 - '00 Kingston was just above par in a Mediocre region again after all the quality seniors graduated. I know I am biased since I played on the 98 team, but we beat people outside our region when it counted, regular season titles mean nothing, playoffs are the only thing that matter and 1st and 2nd round exits are posers.
  2. Ktown, I told you this in another post as well, but losing by more than 60 is extremely difficult to do. Most teams worth their salt will put in their 3rd string before they get over 40 points. You are not saying anything significant when you say that Kingston will not lose by more than 60 points.

I realize all you have said is that Kingston will not lose to Alcoa by 60, which is a fair enough statement, since most high school teams would put in the 3rd string before that happens. While I do think Alcoa will win, I also think Kingston always goes out and plays with their heart despite not always having the most talent. This is definately a credit to Coach King. 4. Kellie Jean is already is doing a pretty good job with recruiting, I was told that Taylor Hall from Motown West was strongly considering NC State.
  5. Roane County High School is the name of the School, band, math team, chess team, chorus, but Kingston is the Athletics department, same school, different official names. There is no clear reasoning other than Roane County High is Kingston's Highschool, not Harriman's, Rockwood's, Oliver Springs...etc.
  6. I saw him play in enough games, and FYI Roane State basketball isn't exactly the big time. I'm also pretty sure the State team was baseball and Substate team was Football if I'm not mistaken. I also started on a State baseball team and State football team in Kingston, and that doesn't make make me a good coach in either of those sports either. I realize that Kingston basketball has never been a state, let alone a county powerhouse, but they should have at least won 1 game by now. Take the team to a middle school tourney (kidding) or something, get those boys a win! And just so you know, there have also been a lot of longshots win at a horse racing. They probably had a good Jockey though. I hope the boys get a win soon. /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />
  7. How do 0-10 and decent go together. Plemons in High School was at best an average player. He is just a Homer getting a good ol boy job. That's how Kingston athletics works. If you are out of the Kingston circle you have no chance of getting in. Just ask Lane over at Roane State baseball. /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />
  8. Coach King has definately earned his own way out in Kingston. I do however think he is in his last 5 years as a coach. Then they should call Robbie Collier back from webb to run the asylum. Maybe by then they will have combined Kingston, Harriman and Rockwood into one school so they can show knox and blount counties where the real players and coaches are. /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />
