If the teams are evenly matched then it wont matter if there is a shot clock or not. I wouldnt go see two vastly unevely matched teams as a random spectator wether there was a 10 second shot clock, 2 min. shot clock, or no shot clock at all.

No, its semi-fair. Not EVERY time their is a jump ball does it mean that the defense did something impressive or worth reward. It could be just to guys goin after a loose ball. To a boring basketball fan it would be. Or a person who REALLY going for their team. Not a spectator. And it just makes the game to easy for teams that really arent that good.

YUP!!! I could entertain myself by just holding a ball for 5 min. WITHOUT SPENDING A DOLLAR.

Well actually there doesnt HAVE to be a shot clock. Just SOMETHING that keeps teams from holding the ball for 3-5 min.

There should TOTALLY be a shot clock(California has one for high school) but it should probably be like 35-40 seconds. I hate seeing teams sit on the ball. I saw hume-fogg beat MLK on a game winning shot.... AFTER they had held the ball for 5 min. I saw USN beat some other DII-A when the held the ball for 7 min. in the third quarter. And its also bad because when ur team is playing the 2-3 zone and the other team is only up a small margin, they can hold the ball AS LONG as they'd like making it easy for the players and coaches... too easy. Having a shot clock would speed the game up a lil bit, see what team can play under pressure, and prevent so much sitting on the ball.

He got a scholarship because he is one of the top 100 players in the nation. I hate how people base things off of one game they saw.

If u call "underacheiving" being one of the best or probably THE BEST team in TN. And sending more guys to D1 schools than any other team in TN. Then YES the Nashville Celtics were the most underacheiving team in TN.

Ok, basically he is sitting out because 1) Academics at MBA 2) Players who have been there all summer 3) The team had already had a continuity by the middle of the season 4) adjusting to new school 5) adjusting to plays, defenses, etc. And im sure there are more reasons that I just cant recall. And DII is fine. It usually get a good number of D1 prospects(actually the BEST in recent years... of course Mr.Brandan Wright) then you have leslie mcdonald, david harrison, elliot williams, etc. So HOPEFULLY this will help you just a LITTLE BIT theUmia90.

You obviously dont much about the Celtics. Casey Prather, Jon Hood, Drew Kelley, Drew Barham, and others. All going D1, that seems to me like they reached there potential. Even Casey said he wasnt that great of a player before he joined the Celtics.

Oh yea and he is playing for the Nashville Celtics this year. Not the Tigers. You can also ask the Tigers players too. He wasn't at the tryouts.

Im good friends with David and I could just go ahead and tell you wy he is not playing on varsity,its a very simple reason. But there is no need for me to get you fired up over nothing.

I really dont know. That would probably be the most likely decision. But getting McBee wouldn't a total bad idea either. Cause one of the guards they are getting is like top 5 or top 10 in the nation. The type of player thats probably gunna leave after one or two years.

But like I was saying earlier. They have two guards who both are probably better than him(maybe, only time will tell) coming in for the 10-11 season. So the question is... Do they NEED him? Wake would need him in a couple years more than Tennessee would need him in a couple years.

Yea from what I heard John is gunna play for the celtics too this year. But, NO WAY Fred gets to be 6'4.... well, he may.

Um.... actually, you can recruiters to look at you(more than once) if u dont have defense or if u dont have strength. Thats why they call them COACHES there were made to get you better at the areas you arent so good at. Alot of kids make it to college off of potential, even though they arent great basketball players yet.

David Howard attends MBA now. Dont know about the other 2.

Oh and I think Pearl is reluctant to give him a scholarship because he has 2 very good guards coming in for the 10-11 season (unless mcbee s gone for the NBA by then /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> jk). Josh Selby and Jordan McRae both whom probably have more talent than McBee, but who knows who is better, only time can tell.

Playing defense against high school kids in tennessee and playing defense against people in the SEC is VERY different. In the SEC ur physical game that you played in high school can look weak, your hustle from before can look like no more than a half-hearted attempt when a 6'6 210 guy with speed goes flying past you, your good defense could look no exsistent. Im not talking about Mcbee, this applies to ANY PLAYER who is making the transition to the SEC, well... actually, just college basketball as a whole.
