  1. Cascade High School is looking for a Head Girls' Volleyball Coach. All teaching certifications will be considered at this time. Interested applicants should send a cover letter and resume to Athletic Director, Andy Giel, giela@bedfordk12tn.net, and Principal, Sandy Sorrells, sorrellss@bedfordk12tn.net.
  2. Elizabethton defense is giving up 10.9 points per game though 14 games while their offense is scoring 33.7 points per game. T Town defense is giving up 9.3 points per game through 14 games and their offense is scoring 38.1 points per game. I'm gonna go against my gut and say Tullahoma pulls out a very tight win. Either way I think its a 3 point difference at the most.
  3. As a coach who not only coaches football, but also wrestling I find this timeline very problematic. I understand that we all want football season to happen, but I want all of our athletes to be able to compete next year. This would push basketball and wrestling into the end of their season, and if you push them back then the baseball and softball players lose their season two years in a row. I think the seasons should go as scheduled and if we miss a scrimmage in the summer because we can’t get back in time then so be it. We need to plan to do what’s best for ALL kids.

http://www.tennprepdb.com/nfldraft.aspx Dobyns-Bennett has had the most with 13.
  5. Where do you pull your stats from? According to my information FC threw it 91 times last year for 281 yards which is an average of 3.1 yards per pass. As far as people loading the box. They ran the ball 473 times last year for 2600 yards or an average of 5.5 yards per run. So why not run the ball again?
  6. Indy- 48-10 LaVergne- 42-14 Shelbyville- 24-20 Columbia- 34-14
  7. It was 1955 when they went 10-0 and ended up 11-0 with a Tobacco Bowl victory. They had a 50 year anniversary of that team in 2005.
  8. Forrest should win over a non healthy Huntland team. Some major injuries for H town over the past few weeks.
  9. Have they started the interview process yet even? What are some of the names interested?
  10. Can you explain to me how getting two transfers in 5 years one from Florida and one from Chattanooga and playing teams like Baylor, Brentwood, Goodpasture, Oakland, and Wilson Central is playing a cupcake schedule and cheating? I think you might just have a personal problem because your team can never seem to come out on top when it comes up against a Bill Price team.
  11. If he wants to stick with the wing I think coach Gill the offensive line coach would be a good choice. He has been there a while and knows the offense very well.
  12. WHY? I have not really seen this system work well in high school. I mean seriously look at the difference in Wilson Central this year. They went form the wing to Tony and got what kind of results? Anyone who pays that much for an offense needs their head examined. I guess to each his own though.
  13. Wing T is not going to fly with the boss ............... nor will some of the defensive people mentioned on this thread. They want offensive explosion Contrary to popular belief the wing T can be very explosive. I like Perry and he knows how to run the wing well. If you saw MJ at all this year you would not say that the wing is not explosive. Then again the wing did only put up 31 points on Blackman last week which is horrible considering Blackmans D is not very good right . I think Siegel would be smart to get either Perry or Wyant. Both would do a fantastic job.
  14. I too would vote for Greg. He is a good coach and a good man. He knows how to get the most out of the players. I think it is about time he got his chance.

  18. Well in that case lets just go throught the people who did actually play and graduated in 99. Travis Moore has more important things to worry about than bashing his former team. Josh Bonner probably doesn't even know about this web site. Jake Dorak is a youth minister and I don't see him giving that up any time soon. Andy Giel coaches at Coffee County so I don't see him bashing himself Jason Eickoff is through with school and has not gone back for education. Ryan Shelton is finished with school and is working with his dad. Tre' Willis was a teacher and coach, but got out of it a few years ago. Robert Gilley was a police officer for a while, but is now tieing steel like the rest of his family and that does it. Now that I have gone and dug up the old roster I don't see who you could be that has such vast knowledge of the game and ever stepped foot on the field as a player. Maybe you were a flag girl back in the day and that is where you got your vast knowledge from.
  19. Actually of the ones that accepted their scholarships there was only one who did not play and that was Josh Clark. Besides being good enough to be offered a scholarship is much more than most kids ever get. Now tell me how you can have such great knowledge of the game without ever participating in it. A book? Playstation? You will never get your kids to do something you were not willing to do yourself.
  20. Well if you graduated in 99 and were a junior that year then you would know that Coffee County lost that game. It was your sophmore year that they beat Tullahoma in Tullahoma and there were no adjustments made. Just kept doing what was working the whole game. Also, lets just look at what made the real difference on that team. WR Jason Stacey TE- Jerry Nettles College Scholarship T- T.C. Miller College Scholarship G. Andy Giel College Scholarship C- Blake Finney Offered a Scholarship G- Josh Bonner Offered a Scholarship T- Heath Lutrell Offered a Sholarship QB- Tre' Willis College Sholarship HB- Josh Clark College Scholarship HB- Aaron Price FB- Chris Elam College Scholarship Now I don't care who the coach is. You have that many scholarship athletes on your team and you are going to win ball games. Also, this group ran a lot less than 8 plays and still beat folks. O and by the way there are only three juniors listed on there and I would venture to say that you are not any of them since they have already finished school like most people who graduated high school in 99. Maybe that is what Coffee County is missing someone who has taken over ten years to graduate college. A real genius. Did you ever really even play football with these guys?

  23. And just exactly what offense better suit a group that has poor speed and undersized linemen. Sounds like a wing T team to me. Let me guess it would be better to run the I and let our 175 pound linemen man handle people. Or would you prefer the spread and allow our 5 flat receivers to make something happen in space. If you remember we ran the spread here before and that did not work out well at all. So please let me know what we should be running offensively that would better suit our players. I am sure the coaches would be more than happy to let you install your offense and publicise the fact that you are the one doing it.
