How long did it take you to come up with that statement?????... We are a very aggressive team... but for the fouls to be that different... there has to be something wrong....I spoke to one of our post players and she said that everytime she went up to shoot... she was hacked... and didn't get the call... she was not complaining... but said that it should have been called the same on the other end of the court.... The bottom line is Gibson County was not able to get in their rythm... and we played right in to Marshall County's hands... Look for Gibson county to be back in the "Boro" next year...

Great Job Ladies.... just to make it to State is a great accomplishment... Gibson County fans are very proud of you....you represented Gibson County well... Good luck to the seniors...

Are you saying that the Region that Gibson County was in... was the weakest Region... first of all Milan and Gibson County came out of the same Region and District... so i would say that Region was not the weakest... Gibson County just did not play their game... ( to say the least)... When you are used to playing a certain style of play... then all of a sudden you have to try to adjust to a different style... it will take you out of your game... and that is what happened to Gibson County... When you have your biggest post players with 4 fouls in the first 3 minutes of the game... you have to change your style of play... we just never did adjust... In a different thread.. someone said that Gibson County was OVERRATED.... are you serious... we might have lost the first round... but it was with a little help... We held 1st place the entire regular season...and 1st in the AP poll for 3 consecutive weeks... our girls were very deserving of their rankings...they played hard all season...for a team so young... at the begining of the season... who would have thought they would have ended up at the State Tournaments????.... but they did... and they will BE BACK!!!!.... Keep your heads up.... We are very proud of you.... Look forward to next season...

Same here... i am rooting for the Lady Pioneers to win the gold... but am also rooting for the lady dawgs... to be playing in the final with us... Go Lady Pioneers!!!! & Lady Dawgs.....

The 2 loses were due to the fact that one of Gibson counties starters was out... with an injury... they have not lost since she has returned.... and as far as Milan giving them a PRESENT... you have got to be kidding... Gibson county just out played them in the second half.... and as far as the refs are concerned... the calls balanced themselves out... for both teams... (questionable calls on both sides).. When you lose one of your starters... then they return.. it may take a few games to get back in the groove of things... but now Gibson county is focused on the goal ahead.... we are headed to the "Boro" to bring home the GOLD!!!!! Go Lady Pioneers!!!!! & Lady Dawgs....

From looking on CoachT...under strength and success... Marshall Co. did not have the schedule that Gibson Co. had... we are ranked #1 in Strength and Success.. which means that our opponents were also ranked pretty high... So however it turns out... Marshall county will know what it feels like to play a team that can really PLAY.. we are strong in all areas... and we are coming to PLAY & WIN!!!!!.... Gibson County may be young... but we have the talent to take it all the way... Go Lady Pioneers!!!!

I agree.. there are a lot of great players in 13AA... don't know that we should label any of them as the Best... don't think they would want to be labeled that way... puts too much pressure on these young ladies.... They are all very athletic.. and play very hard each game... but one person can't win a game....it takes teamwork...if you have teammates that balance you out ... the teams will go further.. and that means you will get that much more recognition...there are so many young players in this region....with so much talent... that 13AA should make a statement for the next few years..... GO LADY PIONEERS!!!! GO Lady Dawgs!!!

Big Dawgs Don't Cry... so.... why are you crying????.... and to say that you hope Gibson Co. loses on Saturday.. is poor sportsmanship... i will be pulling for Milan on Saturday.. and hope Gibson Co., Milan, and Bradford... make it all the way to the STATE FINALS.... As far as the Refs go... what about the first half..and all the walks they called on Gibson Co.... you know that was wrong.... maybe your girls were getting hacked down low.. but so was ours... Should be an exciting game... both teams should know what they need to do to pull out a "W"... since this is the fifth time they will met.... GC will have to play consistant.. and own the boards...Milan will get their points.. but so will Gibson County.... looking forward to tomorrow night... but really excited about the next step.... Yes... they were both sick...and having to play in that ""sauna"" didn't help much... but they pulled through...all the girls stepped it up in the second half... our girls are very tough... i am very proud of all of them..... GO LADY PIONEERS!!! Congrats to Westview and Obion County for a great season... and best of luck to the seniors.. We have 5 seniors on the team... Pate, Huey, Martin, Smith, & Murphree.... and believe me they will be missed... they may not start... but when they come off the bench... they do their job...we have a pretty strong bench...there are some girls on the bench that may not get much playing time... but believe me... they can play... there are some 8th graders coming up that will add to our team in the next few years... To be able to pull that one off last night... shows how bad our girls wanted it...there are a few of the girls that played SICK... stomach virus...bad colds... that's dedication... as long as they keep their focus... on the goal ahead... we should be able to go all the way.... GO LADY PIONEERS!!!!!

Where has Butler been?????... Griffin is the one that was out hurt... but she is back... Lady Pioneers played very well last night... Fayette-Ware came into the Gym with their District Championship shirts on...but didn't know what to think after GC started pressing them... they looked like a deer in headlights.. i can imagine they were saying to themselves.. "if this is the #4 team, how good is the #1 team???".... lol... Go Lady Pioneers!!!! Congrats.. to all 13AA teams... it's too bad these teams are from the same district... they all deserve to make it to the state finals....

well.. it would be like one of our summer league tournaments... the coaches at this one particular school asked us to leave and not come back... they said.. we were too good to play at their school... and kicked us out of the tournament... i'll give you one guess at who won that tournament... getting back to the subject at hand... i look soooo forward to the next few years....it will be some awesome years at GCHS... GO LADY PIONEERS!!!! 4 hours and 30 minutes... until game time.... GC... you and Justin try to stay out of trouble tomorrow.... and make sure you yell for me!!!... lol..

From what i understand... they can not pick and choose... if they are in medina's zone....they will have to stay at medina... except the juniors and seniors... they will be grandfathered in... to stay at GCHS...if that's what they choose... and Butler will stay at GC...that is straight from Heather and her mom... When did this happen???... it's sad to lose any young person in the prime of their life... why didn't the doctors know that she had this illness?... that blows my mind... all athletes are suppose to have a physical before they begin the season... i have taken my own child to get her physical and i always make sure they do a COMPLETE physical...and not just look at her and say, "she looks fine"... that is horrible...my heart goes out to her parents... and friends... i can't imagine what they must be feeling.... there is not a day goes by that i don't tell my child how special she is... and how much i Love her... we are not promised another second on this earth...

I have to agree with 13AA... i don't think the Lady Pioneers are at their BEST YET.... to be such a young team they have suprised a lot of us... we have some good athletes and they play great together as a team...i believe they have what it takes to make it to State... but they will have play up to their potential...IT'S WIN or GO HOME!!!!.... In the next couple of years you will see what a GREAT team is made of... (if we can keep everyone healthy)... GO LADY PIONEERS!!!!
