The new Volunteer High coach is Chris Brown from Miami Palemetto, from a Class 6-A school with an enrollment over 3200. He went 18-11 last year playing one of the toughest schedules in the state of Florida. His wife is a dr in Kingsport, so thus the move to East TN. I was told the press conference went great in the gym. New kids are said to be interested in coming out.

Just got a text that was forward to me that " @ 10:45 tomorrow in the little theater VHS will announce the new boys head basketball coach. Parents and students are invited to attend."

I was told by a teacher who was eating lunch in the caferteria on Friday when Morrell came through the school with the Principal and AD. Seems like he is interested.

Where else was he gonna go? Heard he only got one interview in Scott County TN. Elizabethton and Morristown West did not even interview him.

Interviews are almost complete. Steve Crowder (Brien Crowders brother former and assistant at Rhea and Antioach), Chris Brown (Miami Palmetto head coach to 3,000 students and coached Tim Hardaway Jr who is going to Michigan), Mike Morrell (King and Clemson Assistant and is not going to DePaul) and Greg Barnett (current assistant coach) have all completed their interviews. I hear they may interview one more person, but not sure who that is. Seems like they have been looking on their own for a good crop of choices to replace Whittemore. I heard they they will make some choice by early next week.

Right after the hard Volunteer foul, Cradic was fouled hard by three Indians and had to got to locker-room to attend to a cut over the eye and did not return in 1 st half. Bad enough for stiches.

Elizabethton should have lost yesterday and probably will lose today. Boone and Morristown East in the finals.
