  1. He has 2 babies and is just coaching for the extra money. He doesnt care about the team or even softball in general. Its just an extra amount on his paycheck
  2. Errors will be typical for Moore County all season. Their coach is a joke. This guy does not have a clue what he is doing. He is only coaching because he has 2 babies to pay for. If it wasnt for the volunteer coach nothing would get done and they would never practice. Good Luck on your season Cascade.
  3. First let me say i am a Coffee County Fan and there is nothing i love more than to see Tullahoma lose, but that that does not make me dislike the kids of Tullahoma, its just a great rivarly that both communities have. I hope that does not sound bad. Kids in Tullahoma are just like kids from everywhere else they make mistakes, people should not judge the kids or the program on these mistakes. I hope the school system and the community will help these kids and turn them around and make them productive citzens of community.Turning your back on these kids and trashing the program plays into the hands of people that are anti Tullahoma sports, FROM AN OLD COFFEE COUNTY FAN DON'T LET THAT HAPPEN Kids do make mistakes but not more over ten times. This happened many more times than what they are even being charged with. If they do it once okay maybe they are just being kids but when its over ten times, they are criminals.
  4. He isnt comparable to Stovall. Stovall is the real deal but Horton could be good if he stayed out of trouble. You cant get suspended and miss several games and still expect everyone to take you serious.
  5. Im embarrassed to say my kids go to THS after this. These basketball players got a slap on the wrist and will continue to cause problems because they have seen that because they are basketball players, they can get away with anything. This is setting a great example for others on the team to follow. Two of them are seniors. They are supposed to be leaders. Is this the kind of example we want others to follow. What if you middle school child sees the article in the paper and who it was. Well he is going to see them play on tuesday and friday nights and think what they did was okay because nothing was done. Maybe they are innocent until proven guilty but i do believe that video tapes do not lie my friend!
  6. Bond was 44,000 dollars so it was serious. A few of their parents and family members were at the last school board meeting complaining about their kids getting in trouble like they were innocent. Alll of this was on tape. They are definitely not innocent. They should be permanently off the team and out of school at THS. This is what makes a school look bad when they let stuff like this happen and still allow the guys to play. This isnt the first time two of them have gotten in trouble either!
  7. quote name='c-town'sfinest' post='826722270' date='Feb 17 2008 - 01:42 PM']i thought i read in the paper that these kinds were no longer in school!! it doesn't make senseThats what i thought too. I guess some people get special privilges. This was a serious thing. It wasnt like it happened once. According to people close to them, it happened many more times than they are being charged for so it looks like they got off some more on that too.
  8. Why are guys who got arrrested and suspended from school still allowed to play? Something isnt right here!
  9. What does everyone thing about Coach Seals/Tucker's first season coaching?
  10. Amazing how rumors get started and facts get twisted on internet message boards. I talked to several of the girls and coaches and they all say no parents have been attending practices. The poster above is apparently talking about the former East Middle School coach who has a daughter on the team, and he has indeed been seen in the halls of the school. His daughter stays after practice and works on her game, and he comes to work with her and sometimes brings his young son along to shoot. They said he does not even enter the gym while practice is going on even though he would be welcome. I was told that this girl stayed late every day after holiday practices while every other player hit the door running as soon as practice was over, and she and her dad are still staying and working every day after practice. If this is a problem, I'm sure the coaches would love to have about a dozen with the same problem. This parent can be seen after every game with the coach. This is a fact. I have been at every game and i have seen this first hand.
  11. All im saying is that parents shouldnt dictate who gets to play. I think everybody with the exception of skipper will agree with me. And ask any of the girls and they will tell you that it is going on. If someone wants to have them through jr pro and AAU then thats great but once they are playing high school ball the coach should make the decisions, not have someone make the decisions for him.
  12. I do agree but the coach needs to be motivated to win. The talent is there. These girls are not far away from being good. And what is up with one of the girl's dads attending the practices and all buddy buddy with the coach and now his girl is starting? Hmmm something not right there. Its not fair to the girls who bust their butts for this guy and their parents are respectful enough not to be sucking up to the coach. If your girl is good enough to play then she will. Let her earn her spot not have it given to her. Have some respect for the other girls, your girl's teammates.
  13. Until people's buddies quit getting hired and people begin being hired based on their performance the programs will remain in the same shape they are in. I hate it for the girls because they play their hearts out every game even though the outcome usually isnt good. They havent given up. Keep up the hard work girls!
  14. It doesnt help when the only reason the new coach got the job is because he is real good friends with the principal. He has a losing record. The talent is there even though they are young. Its just a matter of him getting the right ones in the game and the " parent coaches" staying out of it.
