Space it looks like what you called our dumb coach/cop isn't the only dumb one around here since you can't spell "field"!!! You aren't too funny either saying that you all would welcome us with open arms. The way your coach/AD and some of your fans acted, I really and truly hope that none of us in Columbia ever have to drive through AC!!! I have said all I have to say on this issue, because I understand that you are still mad because you lost to us and we made it to the Championship game. So, reply all you want to because I think I've said all I need to say. Go Lions!!!

I just want to take this time to say that I am soooo proud to be a Columbia Central Lions Fan! GO LIONS!!! I would like to clarify something for all of these bimbos who think that we were able to pick and choose the refs because we had the opportunity to play at home throughout the playoffs. We didn't have the same refs at any of our games that I saw, and I didn't miss any of them. TSSAA assigns the refs during playoffs and they come from all over the state. We didn't have local refs!!! We played some really great teams in the playoffs and I can honestly say that all of them were really a class act except for one. And, I really wish they would just get over that loss, because if they didn't make a big enough clown of themselves that night then I don't know who did. They were not the only team that had a touchdown called back because of a penalty that night either. I thought it was rather funny how they could tell you where you could go to see the clip from the incident after the game, because they had edited it but didn't show the beginning of the altercation. (Real good photographer! Lol) But, the one thing I will say on a positive note is that #6 is a great player and an even better person, because he made sure he shook every one of our players' hands. I even personally told him that he played a great game and keep his head up, because the sky is the limit for him. As for Beech--they are the the Class 5A State Champion and I congratulate them on their 1st ever. I wished we would have been the ones celebrating that Victory, but somebody had to win and somebody had to lose and the better team that night won. If you were there or you had to watch it on TV, you would have known from the very 1st play of the game that the team with the fewest mistakes would win the game. (unfortunately that was us ) We didn't have our best game, but it wasn't all one person's fault either. If we don't start teaching our DB's how to look for the football or even watch the opponent's eyes, then we will continue to struggle against the passing game. But, that's not taking anything away the Bucs either, because they played a very solid game. They are a very good team and their players are a class act. I'm sorry for our Seniors more than anything, but you guys need to hold your heads high because NOBODY other than you, your teammates, your coaches, and your dedicated fans ever thought you would have even made it as far as you did. As for our Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen keep working as a team and continue to do the things you need to do to improve, and I think we can make it back to the big dance again next year. I'm ready if you all are!!!

Everybody knows that coaches are going to yell and that is understandable, but to talk down to them and tell them that you can say whatever you want to say to say them because you are their coach and they are your student athletes is going too far. You are right this is high school and now is the time they have to learn responsibility and integrity, but no one is paying them to go to school so they don't just have to take whatever is said to them and grin and bear it. As far as letting her team down and none of them quitting, I have heard that over half the team wanted to boycott, but couldn't get all the parents to come together since there were only two regular season games left. Also I heard that when LaTeira went to the coach to tell her that she wanted to quit, she was very undecided about the situation, but that GREAT COACH as you all have said didn't even try to persuade her not to quit. Instead, her response was that she can quit if she wants to but she had already decided to suspend her for the Giles Co game anyway. Now, I don't think this is their first run in so why wait until the end of the year to suspend her from a game. It almost sounds like to me that you just suffered a humiliating lost from Shelbyville on the previous Friday, you tell your team on Monday that they will run until "T" no longer has an attitude and you don't let them have anything to drink the whole practice, you had a meeting with LaTeira's guardian that didn't go your way on the same day, so now you have to do something to this CHILD. Yes, she has to learn responsibility, integrity,etc....but she is still a child and how can they learn if we all as grown-ups don't try to teach them.

Janay was sick not suspended! Check with the ER in Clarksville on Sunday night before you repeat what you read in the newspaper. Media makes mistakes if you didn't know!

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but some of you can say some of the most stupid things I have ever heard of!!! 1st of all to set the record straight-LaTeira does not live with Janay's parents. She lost her adopted mother in Nov. of 06 and Janay's uncle and aunt stepped up and opened their doors to her. She wasn't raised in the home, but she did need a place to go and to be loved. Obviously you have no idea about who these people are, so you need to be careful about what you say about people you don't even know. You couldn't ask for better people than Ricky T and Vanessa Armstrong. As far as LaTeira's parent or parents threatening the Coach, that too will come to light. Everybody wants to talk about how excellent of a Coach they have, but have no idea what goes on in practices or the locker room. That too will come to light!!! Yes there has been some success at CHS in the last 5 years, but I wouldn't give all that credit to the Coach either. If you have the talent sometimes it doesn't matter who your Coach is-the team makes the Coach look good!!! Western Kentucky is looking forward to LaTeira coming there and are very much aware of the things going on at CHS!

I can understand why you were surprised! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" /> Everyone knows realistically that the real MVP of the District is no longer playing. LaTeira Owens from Columbia should have gotten it, but since she didn't finish the season-she wasn't given the honor. She played every district game of her regular season, but is no longer on the team now so she doesn't get the award. Dana Jackson is the only other player in the District that came close to LaTeira statistic wise, so she should have gotten it if LaTeira didn't. You really had to have been at the game to get the full effect of the win for the Lady Lions! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" /> Every white shirt on that floor was hungry for the basketball on defense. I have witnessed every game this year and I haven't seen them play anybody as hard as they played this past Tuesday night. When Coach Moore took LaTeira out in the last two minutes, you would have thought she was still in the game because the FRESHMAN #14 played Jarrell with the same intensity as LaTeira. Granted, she was out sized heighth wise but she didn't let it bother her one bit. Way to go Neka!!! Keep it up! Hope the Lady Lions continue to play with the same intensity as this past Tuesday. I like the prediction of us not losing anymore district games.
