  1. I can tell you he is not joking. BBALLWIZARD2 is no Siegel fan but tells it like he sees it. I have to agree I think Siegel will beat Shelbyville but maybe not by 20. Shelbyville is athletic but so is Siegel and they have the height advantage.
  2. Really not fair to the kids but I wonder when they stopped doing that. Mine was recognized at the tournament a few years back so I was surprised. What I don't understand is why the coaches don't let their kids stay for the awards ceremony. Oakland left with a few minutes left in the championship game and even though they weren't getting a trophy they had players who were getting all tournament. I think a coach needs to think of his players, even though they may not value these awards the kids and their parents do. Props to Turnham for letting Blackman stay.
  3. The topic of Cutter seems to always come up and it is getting a little old. Yes, he is a very good ball player and will probably adapt and do well at Indiana State. I don't think anyone can deny he plays with emotion but he needs to learn how to control it (that should have happened by 8th grade). But, there are equally good ball players in our district that don't get the attention on these boards that Cutter does. Maybe that is why he acts up. It is obvious he likes attention. I know you Siegel fans are going to come back with he has signed a D1 scholarship and no one else has. That doesn't make him better than the other players, that says he put himself out there where someone could see him. Good for him! He put his summers to good use and played on AAU teams where he would get to play in front of college coaches. Not everyone can afford the time or money it takes to play AAU and they have to work in the summer. So, let's move on to talking about the upcoming district games and pulling for 7AAA in the 4AAA region.
  4. You make a great point about the match ups. Blackman's sophmore guards are to short to handle the height of Siegel. It didn't help that Alex got two quick fouls (very picky calls) half way through the first quarter. It took him out of the game and he couldn't be as aggressive as normal.
  5. Heard someone say they thought Alex was sick that he didn't play with his normal energy. Could have just been an off night for him. Where did you read/here the comment from Blackman's coach.
  6. You are kidding, right? He made a couple against Cookeville but how many stuffs did Siegel get when he did that. If he would kick it out when he drives in or dish off to Paul then maybe.
  7. I would like to go with Blackman but I think Oakland will win. Oakland has a better point guard who will get the ball to the play makers. Blackman's point guards are to slow with their passes plus they are to short to drive into the lane. Surprised Turnham hasn't stopped that. I think Oakland's defense wins the game for them plus the kick out plays to Kendall in the corner.
