McKenzie Hensley returned to the line up last night after the passing of her father and JC looked scary good against AAA Cookeville beating them badly. Her 6'4 presence is huge in the middle. As long as she is on the floor JC will dominate the paint. No team can match up with her around here.

It would make the national news if RBS won the region tournament now come on Swansong! They can't compete with JC or Clarkrange or Clay Co. They will win round #1 if they finish first after that its over

Nope i've done a 180 i've got PC winning this game based on their recent performance and Clay's debacle against FCS.

Its a good possibility and if we do JC will send them home packing. Get a little revenge from last years game.

The only bad calls in that game went AGAINST Jackson County but thats nothing knew when you play in Birdstown. All thats over with now my perdiction is JC over PC in the district championship game by 12

RBS is lucky they don't have to play the first game they wouldn't beat either one of these teams that are playing in it.

I must say that even i'm confused about who is going to win the tournament now. JC has the most talent in 7A but they were outplayed bad by Clay Co. and Crange in their last 2 district games. Then i said well Crange is the team but Clay goes up there and beats them on their home floor so i said Clay is now the team to beat then PC goes to FCS and whips their tales on their own floor then FCS comes to Clay and puts a beat down on Celina so who knows whats going to happen! I'm still picking BIG BLUE although their record in the district tournament isn't the best. Law of averages says they have to get to the championship game soon so i'm putting them in it but their opponent won't be Clay Co. its going to be Pickett Co. FCS showed everyone the blue print to beat Clay and thats shut down Boles and they struggle to even score. Heard the game wasn't close from the git go

I miss my friend already. I remember when Stan first moved here to JC. I believe it was his senior year. He was kinda hard to miss being he was 6'5 250. He was always very nice to me and we developed a great personal relationship. Stan went on to become a great man, a father of great kids that i've had the pleasure of knowing every single one of them. He always supported them in every way and was always there with an encouraging word for them after their games. He will be missed greatly, i can still see him standing in the gym doors talking to first one then another. We miss you big guy and will always remember you fondly. God Bless Donna and the kids and watch over them in this time of need.

Jordan Godwin has won MVP in both football and now basketball in the same year in District 7A. What a huge accomplishment this is for a great kid. He also scored his 1000th career point earlier in the year. He will go down as either the top all time scorer in JC history or close to it. He was 1st team all state in Class 2A football and Upper Cumberland Player of the Year in football too. Congrats young man and take JC back to the promised land this year!!!!

What are you talking about? A call or two heck you got every call in the game and you missed atleast 15-20 free throws in the second half don't get on here and say the calls beat you. Free throws beat you, JC made theres you missed yours. I do see PC upsetting Clay in the semi's. If Boles goes cold from the outside then its over for Clay and he is due to have a bad game. Bibb won't let Boles beat him i can promise you that!

Are you saying Clarkrange had 2 fouls to give and didn't foul at the end of the game? If thats true the coach needs to be fired! OMG how do you let Boles shoot without fouling? What a nimrod!

Wrong again! You Clay people need to get out of the hole ya'll live in! Godwin dropped 47 on Warren County as a junior last year when JC scored 98 points at the start of the season. So put that in your stats and smoke it backerboy!

Both are good players and great kids from what i hear but Godwin is by far the best all around player in the Upper Cumberland not just 7A and i think you'll find that out soon enough. Boles is one of the best shooters i've seen in a long long time maybe even better than Joey Coe and the resemblance doesn't stop there, he plays defense just like him! Should have been at the game last night when Godwin had almost a quadruple double in points rebounds blocks and assists. You won't get that anywhere else! Oh and keep making the Devil remark he loves it when i'm compared to him!

Heard Clay won the coin toss and Godwin won MVP which was expected, the kid is double and triple teamed every game Boles just sits outside and shoots mostly against a zone in our district. But he is a VERY good shooter and he came in 2nd which again was the way it should have been. When is the last time Boles blocked 10 shots in a game? had 12 rebounds and 8 assists? Godwin averaged almost a triple double the entire year and that was with ATLEAST 2 guys on him at all times. Should be some good matchups though, Clay vs Pickett which both teams split the home and home and JC vs Crange with both winning on the road. Will be an exciting tournament i suspect.

Would love to see the matchup between Godwin from Jackson County and the Smith kids. Say what you want but this kid has dominated his competition. The only way teams have been able to stop him was to zone him and collapse. Gotta believe CA would think they could man up against them and that would make for an interesting game. LA put a 6'7 kid on him and they had to sit him on the bench because he couldn't guard him, put a 6'5 kid on him next and he couldn't guard him either so if the Smiths are that good then i hope they get matched up would be a good game to see.

They will have to be a much different team if they expect to go into Celina and win. Very tough place to play for an opposing team. I don't think FCS has the horses to win at Clay Co. but i guess we'll find out come saturday.

Yeah you have a point, its been that way here too. The #1 seed only wins the tournament maybe 50% of the time if that. I know the year we went to the state tournament we were the #1 seed in the district and lost 1st round so we came out of the district as the #3 seed. When the game means more than just a win or loss things seem to tighten up a bit. If a team gets hot then they can make a run.

Again you are wrong, so who is more like a weather forecaster??? Even if JC loses they are assured of no worse than a tie but i don't see Clay going into Clarkrange and winning on Thursday so i think JC still winds up #1.

The only reason i bring up the "transfer" issue is because you people from FCS get on these boards and try to make the rest of us believe that you don't have kids come to that school from all over middle tn. I get the part about the kid wanting a chance to play somewhere and don't blame him for doing it but you people don't need to get on these boards and say that you don't recruit because you do. Now lets get back to comparing the teams. Who is going to be the top 4 out of district 8a? What are the matchups?
