  1. Looks like "ur" class left about half way through the post. Last line is real class there and by the way if you would like to capitalize anything you hold down the "shift" key and type the letter. Just thought I would let "u" know /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  2. What else went on last night? How many steals/assists did Miller have? I don't know and I am betting you don't either. It's not all about the scoring, but when you grow up a little, you will understand. If you want to start a Northside thread on how good Prather is (and he is) that will be great, but have a little class and stop getting on here running down a 16 year old kid, who may have just had a much better game than the box scores show this morning.
  3. Too bad Dexter Williams is not on this thread to give us the answer. He seems to be the best recruiter of boys basketball talent in town /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  4. I would love to know also. Looks like Div II does not matter???????
  5. Unless, of course, they are privates......... /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />
  6. It does seem that no matter what the original topic of the thread is that it always seems to turn purple..... /bored.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":bored:" border="0" alt="bored.gif" />
  7. Congratulations Bruins on a 9-2 season and finishing 2nd in the region! Thanks for brining the pride and excitement back to Kirkland Field, which was not diminished Friday night at all. Can't wait until next year ! Congratulations to a great Huntingdon team, one of the best we have seen all year. The remarks I kept hearing in the stands (besides where is the danged football /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> ) is who in the heck beat this team 5 times ????
  8. Here's one that is going to throw you....maybe it was for more than basketball ? Maybe it was a chance to get the best education available ? (And GC, you had a pretty good recruiting year with the girl "transfer" from Obion County too, didn't you? )
  9. Instead of arguing with a 15 year old, why don't you all be adults and let this thread die. It would serve everyone the best.
  10. I keep hearing Bill Cower as possible replacement. I just bet he could instill some discipline.
  11. Go ahead and put them ahead of Jackson County. I don't know if they belong here, but I would just like to stick around and see the smoke coming from my screen when lightning, coach, and midtensportfan sees the post /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Guys, we are not giving out the gold ball here, just opionions. That's the reason we play the game. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  12. Great video....thanks for posting. Way to go Lady Bruins, Region Champs !!!!!
  13. Of course, no one gave the football team a chance of being 8-1 at this time during the year, and hopefully finishing season 9-1 after tonight-----lots of the same kids who have shown they are winners (on and off the field and court). That's the reason we play the season ! Good luck Bruins
  14. I saw both teams play this year and just think Humboldt is a lot better than their record. Both games were against USJ so if GC had a really off game that night, then I may be incorrect in my assessment, but I would hate to have to play Humboldt again. Humboldt 28 GC 10
  15. To say they were not very good last year is not really true. They were 11-1 with a victory in Christmas tournament in Mississippi, against similar size schools. It was when we hit district with schools 3 times our size that we went 0 for whatever. If we had been playing in Class A last year, I really feel like we would have made it deep into the tournaments. The multiplier killed us more in basketball than it does in football....just the facts, but thankfully it will not be a discussion after this year.
  16. I hope you are all correct on this, but with 4 graduating, and still playing Covington, Haywood, Ripley, Fayette Ware, and North Side in district this year, I see the district portion of the schedule being potentially very difficult.
  17. "And oh by the way, if your best friend's mom taped it... you had no angle to see it from the home side. " I have found over the years that the "angle" always depends on which side of the field you are on and whose team the penalty was called on - "ours" or "yours" /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  18. Do you think the internet tower maybe has a signal problem in Lexington? All form of communication seems to have stopped, but we do not it was working fine earlier in the week !
  19. Prayers for God's blessing and comfort from University School of Jackson.
  20. I bet he is REALLY wishing TCA would schedule other teams this morning /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  21. GC....in the USJ stands no one around me thought he did it on purpose or that it was vicious at all. I just think that when refs saw the helmet fly off that they assumed that it was ripped off. Second week in a row that Dusty has lost helmet. However, last week against JCS, no doubt that it he was hammered----clean, but hammered with one of the hardest hits I have seen in a while. IMO, if there would have been a replay on this, there should not have been a penalty called. By the way GC, nice post with a lot of class.
  22. 1A teams better watch out for Trinity come playoff time. Me thinks they are beginning to believe.
  23. Congratulations TCA....Huge, huge win !
  24. Dusty's helmet got ripped off tonight again vs Gibson County. We are taking up collection for a new and improved chin strap ! /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  25. It got ugly quickly. 28-0 at end of first quarter and I think 35-0 at halftime. Final score 42-12 (I think) It was cold and I left game before end of 3rd quarter when the second string started playing. I was afraid of a let down after last week, but saw none. I do not remember GC getting a first down until the 2nd quarter. USJ punted once in first half, all other drives were touchdowns. Way to go Bruins !!!!
