  1. Here we go with the spring incident again. Lets see, video clearly shows kid showing Jordan where to hit him, Jordan follows through, and kid takes it. Mother does not press charges. It's not a case of Jordan being a punk, just a case of a kid being stupid. Football should have no bearing on what happened last spring. Now for the latest incident. Yes, football should be over for him after this, but thats all I will say about it. Nothing else needs to be added to the discussion. The last thing he or anybody who knows him needs is his history posted on this website with details of every time he has been in trouble. And yes, shame on an administration for doing what they thought was best for Jordan. Let's not give a God given talent a chance to get away from this town through sports so he can finally get his life straightened up. You are way out of line with everything you have said NET(I'm suprised too, I've read this forum for a very long time and always respected your posts)
  2. Voting is private /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> Seriously though, please do /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  3. How about Luigi(sp)? To Gdevil, lay off. Seriously, do you just have a personal vendetta against Jordan? Were you the the total IDIOT that ASKED to be hit or something? Please, just keep your mouth shut. Greeneville wins big, 42-14
  4. You can also add tradition, you cant just expect everybody to welcome the move with open arms. Lots of rivalries, among all sports, will be lost. I think it will take a couple seasons for people to adjust and everybody to be truly happy, if that ever happens(which it will if we do good in the new divisions)
  5. Thanks Mr. Duncan, that post has made the most sense to me out of all lol. You playin college sports anywhere?
  6. No, the three clasifications is new to me, and it makes more sense now. One question I still have though, is in that link you gave it will have Division 1 AA, then have 3A and 4A schools listed. Are they doing something similar to a big school small school type playoff?
  7. Region 1 2A consists of Gatlinburg Pitman, Happy Valley, Cumberland Gap, and all the Greene County schools. Where do Elizabethton and the other schools you mentioned factor into this, and how would they not be against the other area schools? As for a step back, look at all the rivalries being ended with the move. No more East and West games that people look foward to all year. Sure, we will make new rivalries, but chances are they wont compare. 2a is also a much smaller stage than 4a. The atmosphere is completely different, at least imo. I've been to a few, and it just doesnt compare. And for the playoff situation, surely if McCurry is all he is cracked up to be(which he is imo) he would have them to the Boro sooner than later. Idk though, maybe I'm just looking at this from the perspective of a former player, cuz I know I wouldnt want to be moving down
  8. Only found a little discussion about this in the Gville vs East thread, so I thought I would start this one up. The main question I have is, who will be in their conference? Will they be against the other county schools? And how does everybody feel about this? Personally, I'm going to miss all the rivalries that will be left behind. Also, while it will give the best shot at winning, I feel it is a step backwards. We were doing just fine in 4A, why mess with success? Anyways, thoughts please
  9. Obv choice here is Greeneville by a few td's, but anything can happen. I think it will be the first time the Devils are playing on turf? If so, I'm expecting some mistakes from them in adjusting to it. Grass to turf can be a tough transistion. Still picking the Devils though, 28-10
  10. If I'm in the area and I remember to do so I'll try to get a few shots of it
  11. I'm interested to know some of this kids weight lifting numbers. I know big Mike is an animal, was wondering if Steven was the same
  12. From the Greeneville Sun: The artificial turf has arrived at Greeneville High School’s Burley Stadium and workers began the process Friday morning of installing the new surface on the football field. The Astro Turf, from General Sports Venue in Marietta, Ga., will be installed in approximately a week and a half, just in time for the start of fall football practice. Greeneville High’s season begins Aug. 22 at home against Jefferson County. Idell Construction has spent most of the summer preparing the stadium for the installation in addition to landscaping areas around the football field.
  13. How are things going so far this summer?
  14. FootballWrestler, what do you not understand about Jordan being ASKED to hit the kid? I mean, the kid wanted it, and while Jordan should probably not have done it, he did. This is not a case of him being a punk, it's the case of a kid being a moron and asking somebody that is as big and strong as Jordan to hit him in the face. Jordan is not the bad guy in this situation, it was just an unfortunate situation for both parties
  15. Congratulations to father and son! I was coached in football by Brimer, and he is a good man. This is the best way I could see him going out, great job coach!
  16. I havent been following too closely, but was interested in how the Devil b-ball team is doing this year. What is their record? Do they look to make a trip to the Boro this year?
  17. I was just reading the region 1 thread and got to wondering, how does everybody think Greeneville will do at the state duals? Also, is the Brimer kid still undefeated?
