  2. I talked to Rick Davis the TD last friday and was told that his computer was down and he has order a new lap top. All coaches should have their pool game time via e-mails. I would sugest that you call the head coach to find out your schools game times...............Thanks

I agree, softball should be moved to the Fall. My daughter has played travel ball since she was 7 years old and has never complained about her arm hurting until this year (freshman). we have two girls that haven't played in two weeks and four complaining about their arms......When a 8th grader playes her last middle school game in Sept. she has to set out for almost 17 months before she can play her first high school game. If we played in the Fall she would be playing again for the High school team the following Aug........Makes to much sense I guess....

The game Friday against Sequatchie was not a District game for Bledsoe. The score does not show what really happen. Bledsoe had 10 errors that lead to 9 runs for Sequatchie. The girls on both team hit the ball well. The District game will be April 28 at Dunlap and should be a closer game if we can manage to cut out the errors...

Yes Bledsoe played Whitwell at the Athen Tournament and lost 4-0 We also played Loudon Co. and lost 5-2 in over time. Like you said Indian we was out classed in several of our game this year, as you can see by some of our final scores and I think it has help us to get better. We have had several errors that has cost us a lot of runs and we are working on this problem....we have 12 girls that came out to play softball this year ( 5 freshmans) and they are all playing hard...... 10. I agree enough is enough. It does not matter what you do in life there will be danger (riding a bike, motorcycle, driving a car, ect.) This is AMERICA you have choices if your afraid little DD going get hurt , then use your choices and wear plastic cleets or better yet dont let her play softball and find yourself another form to vent your frustration on and leave the real softball player along......My daughter is the only player on her high school team that wears metal cleets and I dont see all the other girls running away from her when she running the bases. Just stop complaining if you dont like the rules do some other sport............Please!!!!!!!!!

Bledsoe Co. Warriors took their second District win last night over Chattanooga Christian. Chelse Marsh got the win on the mound. She was hitting her spot very well to keep the big hitters from geting on base. The Warriors defense had only two errors in the ball game and played hard right down to the last out. Kayla Reagan (freshman) went 2 for 3 with a crushing hit to right field fence for a stand up triple to help the Warriors win 8-6. Way to go Warriors. The Warriors host Howard Thursday at home................
  12. Just as I had said a couple of months back on a form on coacht, Coalfield will take the state championship away from Goodpasture.......in the next 5 years.........Fadnek has already got a USSSA State Championship and a 1st runner up in the last two years playing travel ball........and can she hit,she started going over the fence last year as a 7th grader...........GO REDHOTZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You really think Bledsoe Co. is going to be that far down this season. I think 6th is the best I have seen them ranked. I guess that"s better than last!
  16. if she was not a employee then she wasn't the head coach. She may say she's the head coach but when the school sends in the paper work ol Joe blow will be listed as the head coach . Just another way to get around the rules ( A TSSAA Member might have a daughter playing at that school to) and again TSSAA might not now this is happening. This is where an TSSAA umpire job is to know who the head coach is. durning the pre game talk i have had the umpire tell us that only the head coach can appeal a play ,make changes, or change the line up,and is responsible for the actions of tthe parents, ect. It s all in the TSSAA Handbook in plain black and white, if you feel that the rules is being broken report it by all means.......
  17. I agree my daughter like her steel cleats and she is the only one on her high school team that wears them. I can already see a differents in her pitching, she likes to stride way out and her left foot will slid , but with the steel cleats she has not had this problem. the only other problem she some time gets her cleat stuck on the pitching rubber, and a little work to the mound will stop this. Jump back in time around 1970-72 i can remember when the aluminum bats came out and everyone was afraid somebody would get hurt with them, should we go back to wood bats?
  18. According to TSSAA Bylaws a schools girls softball Head coach must be a full time employee or retired educator. The only time a non-faculty head coach can be used is if he/she has been a non-faculty assistant coach for 5 years or more......TSSAA .com/handbook....Article 1 / coaches-section 9 page 9... School system who are allowing this to take place is breaking TSSAA rules and is subject to fines and suspension if reported......the head coach( full time employee) is responsible for the players, fans, lineups question a call, appeals, ect. not the non-faculty coach acting as head coach...Ever parent should read the TSSAA handbook before their child playes any sports. You could be breaking rule and not even no it...I'm not saying i agree with all the rules but they are there for a reason and we should all have to abide by them......
  19. Coalfield Dist. 4 A. should be in the top 5 at State, and should win their Dist. They will be starting a 8th grader on the mound. Lots of folks in the area has faced her at Travel Ball level, she has a USSSA State Championship title and a runner up this past year. If they can put runs on the board they will win a State Title in the next 5 years.............

Bledsoe Warriors lost two seniors, both of which signed with colleges, (Holland and Bowman) There will be five freshman coming up this year with three capable of hitting home runs, and will be adding another pitcher (freshman)to help out their senior pitcher. Bledsoe will have depth in their hitting/fielding as well......
