  1. Nope, I don't need to hide behind a screen name. If I need to say something I will. Good Luck to all the remaining teams playing this week. I wish you great success !
  2. No problem E.T. Don't mine saying who I am . It is his Dad . Peden would never get on here , or anywhere else for that matter and say anything negative or downgrading about anybody or anything . He never has , and I'd say he never will .
  3. Ha, Ha, Ha, Get your facts straight /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  4. Excuse me , all 4 of the seniors seem to throwing it good , and 2 of them , not as well known, seem to be hitting their stride as the season has come to a close .
  5. Going into the District tournament I would have to say Dobyns Bennett has probably the deepest staff of pitchers in the field with 5 . 4 of them being seniors, and 2 of them picking up a good rythum just at the right time .
  6. Me Too ! because if the D.B. transfer Templeton had hit it , the score would have been tied instead of the walk-off victory. Way to go Jake ! Congrats Falcons .
  7. You sound a little jealous there E.T. You don't know as much as you think you do .Why don't you cut out the personal slams and keep to the topic at hand . Big 9 Baseball . Sounds like you all had an exciting game down at Volunteer last night .
  8. Way to say it there Honky Tonk Man , I'm glad somebody is finally giving this young man some cred . 2nd in the league in batting avg. last year , All Conference , All Region , and All State selection from Volunteer as a catcher with a near 4.0 GPA . He is heading to Milligan . Also , Justin Trent from Dobyns Bennett , 1st baseman .
  9. How do you see the rest of the conference shaking out .
  10. Comp ,congrats to you guys on a great season , tell Fletch the P man says great job , keep it going ! I've seen MO East and was very impressed with their O-Line , especially the left side , BIG and STRONG, and move very well for their size . They are capable of moving the chains if choose the overland route , but can hit the big play also . U guys obviously do the same , but with much more precision . South 28- mo- East 14 . How are the new neighbors at the lake . I hope good . Hope to see ya guys soon .
  11. Which conference is tougher top to bottom . Let's hear it .
  12. Bell County is probably the toughest opponent on the Volunteer schedule this year . Its good to see the Falcons playing good quality teams . It will only make them better down the road .
  13. To close to call this one , but it should be fun /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" /> to watch . GO FALCONS !
  14. How many years has Church Hill Middle SLAUGHTERED TEAMS ? Just because teams and certain kids dominate in middle school does not translate to the same type of performance on the high school level . Some of these kids have reached their maximum growth before they get to High school and dominate in middle school but never develop much past that , while others that may not have been studs while they were in middle school sprout up and develop into top players on the high school level . I would not give up on the program at Volunteer yet . There are way more positive things going on there than negative ones IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR .
  15. Win loss record aside , the only way to get better is to play good competitive teams . Coach Rider and his staff are woking hard to improve and you can see it in the effort these kids are putting out . Playing Clintwood is not going to do anything , but help this team down the line when they start the heavy part of their conference schedule . This was an exciting game , I enjoyed it . I if the Falcons can get the running game going they could surprise some people before the year is out . Keep up the hard work boys . GO FALCONS
  16. I think there is no question that Volunteers offensive line is going to be tested not only in this game , but the rest of the year . They are a hard working bunch of kids that I believe will be up to the challenge and continue to improve on a weekly basis . The defense showed alot of potential last week against East . Bottom line / Volunteer will surprise some teams this year if they take care of business and play to their potential . Ill take Volunteer 28- 14 against the fighting Cockes
  17. It looked like a good overall scrimmage for both teams . volunteers offense looked liked it is going to be very balanced , and all 3 of the running backs looked very good and will definately compliment each other . The Rogers kid grew up alot yesterday , he runs hard and has great instincts , vision , and obviously some good speed . I believe if he works hard , he could be special . Defence overall looked pretty stout . These boys may surprise some people .
  18. The kid grew up alot yesterday in the GC scrimmage . I thought he made good decisions running the ball made good cuts and seems to have natural running ability with some obvious speed . He is only going to get better . The other 2 backs did extremely well also . There is some speed and power with both these kids . Overall , I thought the offense looked like it is going to be well balanced , and is going to surprise some people . Any comments on the defensive side of the ball.
  19. Man , I hope you two are kids and not adults , you are borrrrring !
  20. Any news on the scrimmage vs Elizabethton tonight
  21. The summer of 1978 is when the Tribe turned the water loose . Before that it was 1 dixie cup full once in the middle of practice . ouch !
