  1. Now...let's update things! Thursday night Tullahoma beat both Oakland and Siegel. Who won between the two of them, and what was the score? There were several great matches that night, and the atmosphere was awesome! /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  2. I saw somewhere that Carpenetti (Oakland) would wrestle at 145 by regions. With all the injuries right now, who knows who will wrestle where and when /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
  3. Didn't Oakland lose to Blackman in the Rutherford County Duals in early December? If so, that would make them 2-1 and put Tullahoma in 2nd Place. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  4. Why aren't all match results sent in and listed by TSSAA? What would happen if football scores were not sent in??? That is a MUST to keep things "legit" in my opinion. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
  5. Hamm, I can't believe you are even considering ending the rankings! I assume that IS what you are thinking, right? I think that the rankings are, of course, an "imperfect science." However, they give kids something to "shoot for." If someone wrestles a "ranked" wrestler, he can make a name for himself. Some of these guys have been wrestling since age 6 or 7 and are just waiting for that BIG CHANCE! Maybe they can never win a medal at State, but maybe they can beat a ranked wrestler and get a little recognition...15 minutes of fame. It gives another opportunity. It is almost like a "player of the week" award in other sports! Also, it keeps wrestlers on their toes. The ones who are ranked have a target on their backs. They have to keep working, or they might lose their ranking. I think it makes for better wrestlers. It keeps them accountable! And all this from a wrestler MOM /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
  6. It looks like the Soddy Tournament will be the same weekend as the Brentwood Tournament. That's not good! We want to go to BOTH!!! /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
  7. That is pretty amazing that Caleb did so well at state with that injury! He should be ready to go for his senior year (I think that is right??). It's good to hear that the surgery went well. He must be a really tough kid.

  9. Do most high school wrestlers have to be "prodded" to do this type of thing (after a long, hard season), or do the really good ones just automatically want to do it and know it makes them better??? Sometimes I feel like a parent who wants it more than her son!
  10. Additional information coming soon...tournament is Saturday, Feb. 23!!!
  11. I just found out...this tournament WILL include a high school division! Originally, it was not going to. I am not sure when this changed. I will post the details ASAP.
  12. I am really just the messenger on this one (a mom), but I don't think so. There is another tournament March 15 that I believe DOES include high school. I will check on this and post again!
  13. "Believe in something, set a goal, achieve it"...sounds like a plan to me! I think I'll pass that on to a special son. Hammerman2 (aka Brett's mom)
  14. Hamm...you seem like a fun guy (even though you are kinda sorta the enemy, being from Blackman and all). After our Region 5 Individuals, Sunny mentioned another type of challenge for our two teams. I kind of modified the title a little...Tullahoma VS. Blackman: The First Annual You Tube Dance Off (Wrestler Moms Must Participate) /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
  15. Apparently, you are just trying to "stir the pot" with us Tullahoma folks. Quick was absolutely determined to win this thing, and nothing was going to stop him this year!!! I don't really think Chris Wolfe would have beaten him this time, but I guess we will never know. Let Cody have his moment...don't try to dampen it. That is pretty sorry! Are you an adult or a child?? I'd like to see you in there with Cody for 6 minutes...he'd teach you who's a real man!

  17. Well, well, well...Sunny Knight, we here in Tullahoma are so proud of all our guys, but you really "showed some people"...especially "wristbar". You took your lumps, kept working, and came out really well in a weight class that had all 3 region qualifiers medal at state! You are an example to some of our younger guys that hard work and determination DO pay off! Congratulations! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  18. Ziad A. is a great wrestler, kid, and all-around class act! Hopefully, this situation will serve as his ULTIMATE MOTIVATION!! GO "ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ".

  20. What happened to Michael Goins (Coffee County--152 lb.)? Also, is Taylor (Oakland--171 lb.) the same Taylor that was 4th in the region last year at 215 lbs? He cut 45 lbs. in the last year?
