  1. the long bus ride is around two hours to pigeon forge, the home team has won in every meeting over the years. and also I dont see how you can say that region 1 is the weakest region because they do have to get past cak/catholic every year, id like to see some of those western tn teams take on that task, its also the same for AAA who usually has to play farragut or bearden, they have their shot this year with west and oak ridge who already lost to south once this year.
  2. As a seasoned referee I can say ive never been so disgusted by a group of young men as I was this year with Greeneville, as rcman said two players where out on red cards earlier and it doesnt suprise me, foul mouths, late tackles, and zero respect for the game, probably because they are straight from the football team.. Good luck south im pulling for you 3-0
  3. Elizabethton seems to have had a great season with 12 wins, they played right there with dobyns bennet and even tied south who won the AAA district, I should hope they walk away tonight scratch free. 7 straight years these 2 teams have played in the regional semis against each other and EHS leads 6-1 in the series
  4. elizabethton 4-0 over UH... terribly one sided game, shot count was about 30 to 5
  5. wow thats sounds like a game full of emotions, was it a current player who passed?
  6. Science hill was up 2-0 on sullivan central, 2 early goals and central had two red cards for decent but one was reversed for some reason, but the score was 2-0 with 10 or so minutes when I left the match science hill was controlling the entire game so i am going out on a limb by saying sciece hill advances
  7. Im curious Coach which are you most proud of 100 wins or all those state titles
  8. I hate to say i told you so.. Db lost 2-1 to Sullivan South tonight, great game, congrats south and db on a great season. I think the lack of depth on Db's roster contributed mostly to the loss, but i take nothing away from them by saying they had a solid 11 with the kid with the broken leg.
  9. Sorry if that was harsh reddragon but i just got the confirmation that elizabethton was missing 4 starters who where away at some band competition all last week, i wasnt saying elizabethton was the better team and i wasnt saying your not good, you've had a great season, but if you cant mount up an attack against a small school like elizabethton then how do you intend on mustering up one against farragut, or bearden ( 7-1) loss..
  10. Elizabethton put on an incredible perfomance last thursday even though they came up short, they scored in the first 2 minutes of the game against dobyns-bennet on a rip from bout 20 yards out and led til bout 10 min left til halftime, they gave up a pk in the final 10 minutes of the game and lost 3-1 but i just caught wind that they where missing 5 starters this week due to a extra curricular activity traveling somewhere, i believe they could have got a tie out of DB, they played them better than anybody else around here has so far. South also gave up two free kick goals to the tribe on friday so northeast TN is getting pretty competitive
  11. they just started us on a 2 man system down here, and being an older fella its really hard for me to officiate 22 players with only one other ref assisting me, it takes missing about 10 % of fouls to missing about 40%- 50% of fouls, now you kids are the ones affected and i hate it but you must understand the difficulty with a 2 man system
  12. home field in my opinion is only an advantage if it is a lowsy playing surface, consider chuckey doak who plays in literally an old cow pasture, another ref showed me a picture of the field from his camera phone and we had a good laugh because they had about 10 rows of dirt stretching from side to side the entire length of the field which is deadly for teams who pass and distribute to score, so id say its a huge advantage if your use to your pitch.
  13. I wish i still lived in knoxville, I used to love watching this rivalry, Farragut way to go!
  14. Who are these Teams? Ive never heard of either of them, and I honestly couldnt tell you where hickman co. is
  15. Science hill is in a major slump, its almost like what coach akumu did at south, i hope he can dig himself out of this hole, they're not even looking at a chance for a sectional match
