The announcer, whom I was sitting in front of, got roughly 60% of the point tallies wrong. Guess that happens when you spend more time throwing in references to UT when you're supposed to be announcing. So take what you hear from him with a grain of salt. And yeah, Atnip had some great games this weekend. Especially so since he was playing injured Saturday.

Yeah I think he may have fouled out of both...not sure. And, tiger fans, I'm not sure what games you were watching but Ethan kept us in the games at several points...he sure didn't miss any more threes than anyone else, and ran the floor very well. This just can't be the Howell, Fullilove show for us to be successful this year.

Molander says he doesn't wanna come back until December, which is understandable. His ankle was in pretty rough shape. Lucas played both games Saturday, though.

DC looked a little rough this weekend. Had three varsity games and jumped out to 15-18 to 0 to start all three. Still wound up behind at the half in all three. Went 2-1 for the weekend. (4-1 really, but the other two teams just played our jv.) our D definitely isn't at the level that it was last year, but I'm not too worried....it is the first weekend of the season and we got to play some solid teams.

Two major things DeKalb has to do to have a successful season: 1-EVERYONE knows that we love the three, and they just let us shoot when we aren't hitting. We've got to recognize when our shots aren't falling and find other ways to score. 2-Cut down on fouls in the post. Atnip, Young, and Phillips are the ONLY experienced size we have. Fouls have been a problem in the past.

Unless there's some drastic gameplay from DC, I have to say more of the same. Like I said earlier, to be considered with top teams, you have to beat top teams. Period. Until DC breaks through and does this, I have to go with LA. Love my Tigers, but anyone who knows me knows that I'm a realist above all else.

And yet you give credit where credit is due. I don't know if some of these people will be able to do that when we finally lose a game. (If? I can always hope haha.) I think we will win Friday. I think we should. Does that mean we will? Nope. They play the games for a reason.

Yeah definitely, I don't want people to think I'm on here downing my team...bc I'm just as big of a supporter as anyone. But in the end, it's about the kids. And DC has people on here that spend more time downing kids instead of actually talking about the game and the excitement of there being so much good football on our region.

I honestly cannot believe the arrogance from some of the DC fan on here. News flash! We are NOT one of the "big boys" yet. To be considered that you have to be a district/region title contender almost every year. We aren't. Simple fact. Right now I would say we are merely a flash in the pan. Now, I'm not denying that we've done some special things this year, but nothing great....yet. If we can get first place this year and still contend for a few years, then I would say we're one of the "big boys." I'm just glad the coaches and players realize that you have to work for wins, and aren't taking any game for granted. I'm just still in shock that we're having a good year and a couple of our fans are on here putting down the other teams like they have no chance. Just please realize that not all of us in DeKalb are like this.. TigerPride!!

Then I think Goodman will definitely be a nominee next year. And it appears my prediction is being proven wrong!

I think the whole Miss Basketball discussion comes down to exposure, many of the nominees had good tourneys last year and were taken notice of. Look at Sissom and Masengil, Sissom played in her first state tournament as a freshman an played like anything but. She pretty much kept her team in the game against McMinn. And Masengil was the tourney MVP. Doesn't surprise me In the least that they are up for consideration. That being said, goodman is the most dominant post I've seen in the tourney, and I think CPA will have trouble with that. Her being in the paint will allow obions guards to play more aggressive d against CPA and it will pay off. I've been wrong before though! But I'll say OC by 8!

Was this quote going somewhere? Seems to have ended abruptly...other than the fact that Travis is the ONLY player (if i remember correctly) that has started for Coach Martin as a freshman at DeKalb. Even CODY RANDOLPH didnt see major playing time until his junior year, and he's often been heralded as DC's greatest shooter...so, DCTIGER41, ask yourself, can you do what Cody did? Cause it seems like Denman is the only one even close

I havent heard much about the other teams in their region, and frankly, i havent been to as many G-ville games this year as in the past...G-ville has a good young team, and WIlliams can play almost any position(and score on pretty much anyone!) but they have hit slumps throughout the season (eg. losing by 39 or 40 at DC.) and have been really hot(playing that SAME Dekalb team to only a 1 point loss.) But Coach Sanders' teams always seem to step up in the postseason. They could make a run. Good luck tigers!

The Warren County team should be proud of themselves! Theyve played their hardest and more ppl see that than what they think. I was there friday night, and ive seen them play before, they ALWAYS play their hearts out. Woulda loved to come see this game but i was over in Smith County supporting my Tigers...over $500 was raised at that game also. It's good to see all the rival teams in this district pull together for Macon/Trousdale. Btw, does anyone know who plays Wednesday night?
