  1. I ran a 4:56 today after not running in three weeks and doing ultramarathon training for the last year. 4:56 b.l.o.w.s.
  2. The three already have insta-scholarships. So, epic fail on your end. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  3. That quote originated with Greg Duble and went something like this: "I think I'm going to print up t-shirts that say, 'If I had just one day to live...I'd spend it at a Chattanooga Christian School track meet, because they last FOREVER.'"
  4. All three decisions are mistakes. Belmont's academics stink balls. Xavier's basketball team is horrible (and anybody who knows Matt knows that's all he cares about). And Lee has too many hot girls--that is, Steven will be too distracted to run well.
  5. HEY MAN WHO THE F*CK ARE YOU AND WHO THE F*CK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?? AND WHO DA F*CK ARE YOU, TOO? JV runners need to stick to learning how to run before bashing on one of the best runners in the state. Lies. Where were you this weekend?
  6. Coniglio won't break 4:35. Evidence of that is his performance at State. It left MUCH to be desired.
  7. You won't be going five miles any pace. Unless you are racing somewhere other than Chattanooga, the race you are referring to is an 8km road race. Check your facts before spouting crap on this board. You don't own it. Don't act like you do. Anyway, you stunk at State, after I went out on a limb in your name. I'm starting to doubt whether or not you actually ran that 16:0x at Owens. Or wondering if perhaps you cut the course. It wouldn't be difficult to do right before mile two, before going around the Indian mound.
  8. If Matt Coniglio runs a halfway intelligent race today, he will win State.
  9. EITHER these two young men are homosexual, or someone needs to inform them that they have been macking on the same girl of late.
  10. That's because people either haul it down that hill, and then let themselves lag once it flattens out, or they cruise down the hill and push on the flat. You gotta go hard-hard-hard the whole way in that second mile. From hauling A down that hill to hauling A on the lonely back flat. Then hold on for dear life in the third mile, but don't worry--everyone else is doing the same thing.
  11. AND they learned from the best. That is, Milligan College. Hagan Stone is probably a bit hillier than Steeple. It was also very muddy this year. As in, lose your shoes muddy.
  12. Haven't I said that once already? Yes. Yes, I believe I have.
  13. It can produce weird times, yes, but Mahaney is definitely the strongest runner in A/AA. BUT, if you're going to start talking Mark Cole, don't leave Coniglio out of the equation. Just because he hasn't raced in Nashville doesn't mean he isn't raping the living daylights out of the Chattanooga area boys. I think you'll see a blazing time or two out of him in the next few weeks as he starts to tune up for the end of the season.
  14. ... Even the almighty Steve Fassino of UT and Red Bank fame is afraid of The Dam Hill. Is he, too, a baboon?
  15. Two meets in Chattanooga this year decided to go head-to-head with the Classic. Chattanooga is home to a bunch of baboons.
  16. That is because Snyder is a good little runner. Mahaney, on the other hand...well...I won't go there.
  17. Um. Well, this girl...... (Censored -- PM for details) ....so that's how I know.
  18. I also have it on good authority that Coniglio is, in fact, a man.
  19. Just keep your eyes open wide and your ears attentive, I think you'll be hearing about a team or two that might shock you this fall.
  20. Da h3ll you talkin' 'bout? Tennessee Classic is not a mid-week race, but rather a Saturday Invitational.
  21. All of this talk is ridiculous. MLK won't place in the top six teams. On the girls side, though, Sybil Levine will be a top five talent. I have it on good authority that Coniglio ran a ten mile tempo three weeks ago in 58 minutes. It was a relatively flat road course at the Chickamauga Battlefield, but it was blazing hot (97 degrees) and the kid was just rolling. I'm told he didn't really look that fatigued at the end of the run. I think he may be slightly hungry. /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" /> Also, I have from another solid source that one of the top five returners (I won't say who) spent this summer boozing and is a good fifteen pounds heavier than he was this spring. Sure, it's possible he bounces back into shape, but he might also have officially ended his running career with those shenanigans.
  22. Word out of the Memphis area is that White Station HS runner Alex Bransford tore apart the Memphis Wintercross Series, becoming the overall points-scorer at the 3, 5, 8, and 10k distances over a six week time period. He's looking pretty strong and might be someone to watch for this spring (although nobody is going to touch the Keveren/Sonnenfeldt duo in AAA, of course).
  23. Further word from Chattanooga (via Dyestat): Coniglio actually skipped practice on Friday, missing a 3x1600m workout. It is reported that Will Musto was out at the track doing the workout solo, but again I ask why he would be working out if he is not running for his school. From this information, I deduce two things...Coniglio believes he can coast to State so easily that he isn't even working hard this spring. Will Musto is either an idiot or he is actually running for CCS. However, he himself reported on this thread that he is NOT running. Thoughts? Discussion?
