Well, Spring Hill has been mentioned once. A sectional team that returns 4/5 SOPHOMORE (Now Junior) starters. Sometimes 4 Soph. 1 Junior. I'm willing to bet that with more maturity and good postseason experience last year they will be one of AA's top ten teams. Marshall County does not have an easy path in their district or region as they found out last year. Keilan Blanks vs Kedren Johnson is a match up to watch. I'd say it is a toss up between Spring Hill and Marshall County this year in their district and region.

Agreed. Turn around a messy program with questionable character. Turned them into a discipline group who have worked very hard for what they have earned. Back to back district championships (2009, 2010), 2010 State Runner-Up. Those district championships are also the first two in program history. One would be hard pressed to find a better list of accomplishments for a coach under 35.

If anyone wonders...this is a good reflection of the Gibbs program.

Last word I got was that East Hickman at Loretto and Spring Hill vs Giles County (at Loretto) is still on for 2 and 4 PM.

Kid fouled a ball straight off his chest and the umpires didn't see it. Horrendous umpiring. I would have gotten tossed as well. Spring Hill flat our dominated that game though.

It's real sad for people to go after a team like Spring Hill. A team who has been through so much and has fought so hard to gain people's respect. Apparently 13-1 in district play doesn't cut it for some people. Nice 4th post, by the way...It was real insightful. I hope the Spring Hill boys read this stuff and it gets them fired up everytime someone disrespects them. That's all it is, disrespect to them.

I'll say this. If you want a lot of people to show up at these games next week, The Daily Herald needs to be contacted to put out information about how big of a series it is. Otherwise, the usuals will show up. As a neutral spectator, I'd say this series deserves large, boisterous crowds at both sites.

Huge series coming up next week. I can't see a lot of kids at Spring Hill while the kids are on Spring Break.

Sounds like you guys put on another great tournament. Didn't get to catch any games, but I'm sure they were as competitive as usual. Congratulations to all of the pool winners.

David Limbaugh announced that there will be no championship round, but the champions will be "pool champions". Spring Hill won their pool with a record of 3-0. Congratulations Raiders for a pretty big accomplishment in a very competitive tournament. Also, Page finished 1-2. Congratulations Raiders and Patriots for representing 10-AA so well!!

Congrats to East Hickman on a good start. I will gladly take back my statement that they are unchanged from last year. Hickman is a different story. I think some people in Centerville need to grow up.

Hickman County has everyone right where they want them now.

Page sweeps. Giles sweeps. East/Hickman split. Spring Hill sweeps. Beating East Hickman doesn't make you for real...beat Page, Marshall, or Spring Hill and you have something to beat your chest about.

A team that is "for real" doesn't lose 19-1.
