This was also supposed to be Coffee County's best year, and they're finally showing it.

CC won 6-0 and secured 2nd place in district alongg with a first round bye.

I agree with a couple of the other posts on here. The trophy being left behind isn't that big of a deal. The bad thing is how some people try to tarnish a tourney win and basically bash CC for something the umps did. The way I understand it from players and parents, the ump called Shelby safe then went to the other side of home plate to (for some reason) check if the catcher had the ball. Then he called her safe again. Let it go. It was a close call and even if she was out, who's to say CC wouldn't have held MJ one more inning and then score? Respect goes to all the CC and MJ players and coaches.

Wow. seems like a bunch of controversey. I'll talk to some of the players and parents tomorrow. Several of them are honest and tell it how it is.

I mentioned the game here. It was 2-1 CC over Lawrence. should've been more like 7-1 or 7-2 though. CC has won 3 in a row now.

SCHS should win both of their district games coming up, putting them in a guaranteed 1st place position with Columbia in 2nd. I believe T-town will beat out Lincoln by 1 point for third, leaving FC and CC to battle it out for 5th and 6th. CC at FC should be an intriguing game. If CC wins they will move up to 5th at least until the Lincoln Co. at FC game later on, and if FC loses that one or draws, it looks like CC would finish 5th after a disappointing season. final standings prediction: 1. Shelbyville 2. Columbia 3. Tullahoma 4. Lincoln County 5. Coffee County 6. Franklin County 7. Lawrence County (5 and 6 are the hardest to choose right now)

CC is starting to show off the real potential that they were holding back it seems. I believe when the tourney gets here CC will be the team with momentum and I imagine they'll win the tournament, but who knows.
