Glad to see you up on your math. So let me give it a shot. With you only relying on 1 offenseve player, we will have 11 defensive players. To me that would = a Rhea County win. I only calculate the wins not the numbers. Yeah, Devrin Young is the only player Bearden relies on. He is going to snap, hand-off, and throw the ball to himself. He will even hold the the ball when he kicks it threw the up rights on extra points. I think you guys may only see a limited D. Young tonight, that is if he plays at all. He has been pretty sick, this week. So, I would say you will see the ball spread alittle more around to other players. I got in trouble alot during my school days at Bearden for gambling and few times as an adult. So, with that said, lets put all the insulting comments to bed and put your money where your mouth is. I will spot Rhea Co 11 1/2 points. Gentlemen place your bets. It would have been 25 point spot, but knowing that #33 may not make it to the field, I think Rhea Co. Defense may keep the point spread more respectable. Bottomline..With or without Devrin Young, Rhea Co. does not win this game and Bearden will show they have other offensive weapons.

IMO...It is a coin flip between DeAndre Purdy from Farragut and Devrin Young from Bearden. It just depends on how you would use them and the type of Offense they would be apart of. Mr. Purdy is a strong, hard nosed runner, and just plain mean. Mr. Young is more elusive, great vision, and faster than a hiccup. These are the 2 best backs in the state, if you ask me, and head over heels better than anyone in East Tn.

That is a stat and they are like opinions everyone has one. So if thats the case I am going with eaglepride1 RC 42 Bearden 2. And like eaglefan said you haven't played us yet. well we do have a common opponent....Walker Valley.....we beat them 44-0 and you lost to them 28-20.....I'm just sayin I can't agree more... Walker Valley was the worst team, that Bearden has played in the last 3 seasons, in my opinion. Barring some kind of freak act of God or a massive dose of swine flu, I do not seeing Rhea Co. evening making a game of this. *The swine flu comment is not to far fecthed. It is a concern of mine.

I am going to take the 3rd grade attitude towrds this game( since I know nothing about Rhea co.). Seeing that Bearden walked all over Walker Valley, and Walker Valley walked all over Rhea Co, I am going to take the Dogs. 28-0.

I can hear them now..Devrin is a great player, but he will never make it on the D1 level and to bad he will be playing on a 3-8 team next year.

My Christmas wish list: 1. Fire Mike Hamilton for not firing Fulmer 2 or 3 years ago. 2. Hear Fulmer admit, he can't recruit anymore and admit, he set UT's football program back 10 yrs. 3. Dave Clawson will never be allowed into another college program. 4. John Adams gets tougher on Coach's when they are losing and ruining any of UT sports programs. 5. Randell Cobb wins the Heisman 3 yrs in a row. So Tennessee coach's realize we have homegrown tallent. 6. They fire Stanton Stevens before someone in OR has a stroke or shoots somebody. 7. And a partridge in a pear tree.

I did not vote, because I feel they are both equally important to different types of people. Neither, I feel is worthless.

You what to talk about pathetic posts? This one is the worst, I have seen.. Can you comprehend or discern anything you read? First of all, I never said, "His father HAS TO get him ready". I said "His father alone WILL have him ready, not to mention the coaches." Second of all, my mentioning of coaching him had nothing to with him being a good QB. It was a remark to "TheGoldenBoot", that he did not need to explain to me the abilities of him or Devrin Young. So you just proved yourself an idiot, or you use your Smart #### tendendcies more than common sense. Call the touchdown pass what you want. You say it was lucky. OK it was a luck TD pass. Still a TD pass. 3 days later, the same undersized QB had 3 or 4 TD passes against the JV.. And that lucky TD pass was to a backup running back. So, I guess that would make it our 2nd string vs. your 2nd string..Furture looks brighter for us. I take it, your "Mark Slay" comment was alittle "Blue Street Sign, Farragut" sarcasm. I'm dreaming too. I feel like they will be better than 4 or 5.

As far as his father going to have him ready...He does not have too. Coach Taylor will do a fine job at that. Mr. Riemer just takes a pro-active role. Before you start, a verbal replay of the Bearden-Farragut game. I will let you know, I know Bearden lost, lost big, and got whipped in an embarassing fashion. But as far as a 4 or 5 placed team...We will see. Alot of people said they would finish last this year...I feel like they will be better in '09. Look forward to your next round of insults...You do Farragut proud.

Do not even try to begin to explain to me, what either of these boys can do on or off the field..I have been around both of these kids (and many others on the team) since they were 7 yrs old..I have coached them also..Trust me..Kyle will make you eat your words.. His level is and will be much higher than Potters. Not to mention he has 9 months to lift and grow and attend 2 to 4 more QB camps..His father alone will have him ready, not to mention the coaches.. Bottom line..If Bearden can go 8-3 with Potter..They will do better with Kyle..

That is exactly what everyone said about Devrin Young..He made it through the whole season injury free and with everyone's respect.. Kyle Riemer may not have the special tallent that Devrin has, but he has the same heart and will to compete...He will do fine and a heck of alot better than Potter..

Would like to see the schedule before, I make any predictions. My gut is telling me they will make to the quarter finals and maybe the semi's next year.. Let the beatings begin from all DB and Farragut fans, for this predictions.

Bearden's season came to an end last night, after a 31-20 loss to Soddy Daisy. They finished 8-3 overall and #2 in thier region. 99.9% of the people in Coach T land, said that they would not be able to compete this season. I guess, they were proved wrong. To the seniors, I would like to say "Thank You, Good Luck and God Bless." To the Underclassmen and coaches, "I have my helmet and googles on, my seat belt tighted, and can't wait for the ride next season." I am really icthing to see Kyle Riemer at QB. To Devrin Young, "Thank You" for playing the way, I knew you would. You make everyone in Maroon and White proud.

This is the first game this season, that I would have to flip a coin on. I figured Bearden would go 9-2 and finish second in the region, in July. I knew how well Devrin Young would be, and would be the main offensive weapon. Soddy Daisy does scare me. Our defense will have to dominate. Coach Taylor needs to get Devrin invovled with the passing game (not just screens or in the flats). Tanner Fine was injured last night, I hope he is able to play. But, Peyton Landers and Drew Williams can fill his FB spot fine. It is on defense where we need him, BAD. Here is my prediction. If Ryan Potter plays well, Bearden wins. If Potter gets rattled, throws mutiple interceptions, Bearden Loses.

Yes he did. He is the best RB in region 1-5A. Best in East TN. Probally in the state.
