Brandon Herman from chattanooga grace scored 31 against whitwell while sitting out most of the second half, and grace cruised to a 92-33 win.

No he played almost the entire first half and all of the second half except for the last 3 or 4 mins of the 4th after the outcome had already been decided. He didn't have a single offensive touch in the first half. Overall, I was not impressed with Tyner at all, or bradley. Mccallie shredded their press all game, and they couldn't contest mccallie's 3 point shots. Although his teammates didn't do their part in looking for Bradley down low, when he did get an opportunity he didn't seem to be comfortable against mccallie's zone, and he really struggled at the free-throw line. Tyner definitely has a ways to go if they want to contend in the postseason.

Well I know I can't wait for Tyner and Howard to square off. That could be the premier game in the chattanooga area. I'm also excited to see if my golden eagles can play with mccallie, and how they look against new district foe A&S. Should be a great year for east tennessee basketball

What does everyone think will be the best games of the year in east tennessee? Also any interesting games that are important as far as district and region implications.

Buckner hit with 2nd technical. He's ejected with 4 mins to go in the 3rd...anyone at the game, was this technical deserved? I'm listening on the radio, and the announcers seem to think otherwise.

18-12 Manassas at the half. Temple shoots 16% (4-25) from the floor and only 8% (1-13) from behind the arc, but Manassas can't put them away, mostly due to the fact that they're only 2-9 from the FREE throw line...not a pretty half of basketball. Hopefully these 2 teams will come out a little hotter in the 2nd half.

Summertown seemed to have more fans at the boro today than any other team i saw, and definitely had a bigger 'student section.' Great fan support! Is the school close to the Boro? Or are you guys just beastly dedicated fans? ha

Not well for the Crusaders! Ha their guard composure will prob be a little better than Grace's was, rusulting in less turnovers, but they have no one to match up against Buckner. Johnson is going to have to step up defensively, and Kemp is going to have to make shots...ALOT of shots. But basically, if sexton is hitting, i think Temple has at least a chance of keeping it 'close' but if he's off, then o well...

Manassas by 20+...Manassas handled Grace today pretty easily and Grace has proven that they are a better team than Temple by winning the last 3 matchups by about 8-10 points. Anything can happen, especially with Sexton on the court. The kid can score at will when he is on, but the rim can close up on him sometimes. but either way, I don't see Temple anywhere close in this one after the first half. Buckner will be too much down low for Johnson and Andrews to handle. Good luck to both theams...

The final score (60-48) does not tell the story of the game at all! Manassas was the better team by much more than 12 points, more like 20. Both teams played hard, and I applaud Grace's efforts; they hustled for the whole game, even when they were trailing by as many as 22. They just didn't have an answer for Buckner, and I don't think anyone in the state does. What a ballplayer! He got to the rim at WILL. And with all of that talent, he was still extremely unselfish with the ball. Prob too unselfish, the kid could have scored 30. But congratulations to Manassas, and to Grace for a great season!

There were definitely more charges called today than I'm used to. I think that's a sign that the players have more of desire to do what it takes to win the game now that the gold ball and the season are on the line. 2 players that I saw do prob the best job stepping in and "taking one for the team" were jonathon brown for grace baptist and buckner for manassas. these 2 guys combined for 9 charges taken! These are players willing to do what it takes...and good calls by the refs too ha
