We'll definitely keep working over on our side. I think we all know who will be top dog on your side of the region next year. But who will be #2? I'm not sure that is very clear. That program that your son went too is looking very promising for next year. Very promising!

With much of this thinking it seems that MS and youth programs should just shut down at some of these schools. Just wait until HS to start wrestling because your HS coach will singlehandedly turn you into a HS state champion. And also there would be no squabbling by coaches over where kids go to school. No need for that when you can just build them all by yourself.

i was just replying to Sommers prediction above that was a little different than mine.

I predict Bradley comes back even stronger next year.

I would keep my eyes on both Mt Juliet and Lebanon HS in the very near future. If they hang on to the kids they have coming up through the youth and MS teams they will both be very tough. For the 7 years that I've been back to TN Mt Juliet has always had a good youth and MS program but some of their guys got sucked up by other HS teams. I believe they are holding on to their guys now. Lebanon has a great youth and MS program now too. Region 7 is tough now, but here shortly it is about to explode with talent.

Thanks Sapper! Yes we have kids from all over the city and outside areas. There's a lot of names towards the top of the HS Region 7 seeding that came thru our program. Guys that are wrestling for multiple high schools.

Give CHS one more season and we'll be back HSDAD. The funnel is very full.

Same weekend as Cadet Duals.

I anticipate that Beech will be the team to beat in the east and Rossview in the west of Region 7 next season. Clarksville High will still be rebuilding but will receive a large group of experienced kids from their middle school program. Once this flow starts next season it will not stop. I can assure that.

The Nashville Regional Training Center practice scheduled for this Sunday (February 1st) will now begin at 3:00pm. The practice is hosted by the Williamson County Wrestling Club and will take place at the Independence HS auxiliary gym. Practice will end at 4:30 so everyone will have an hour to travel back home before the Super Bowl kickoff. This will be a great event for advanced youth and middle school wrestlers in middle TN.

Knuckleheads Wrestling Club will host a "fight night" every Thursday night beginning that same week (March 12) at the Clarksville High School Wrestling Building. We will wrestle Folkstyle thru Senior Nationals (end of March), then transition to Freestyle/Greco-Roman. 6:00pm will be the start time.

Lots of politics involved in getting coverage in Clarksville. I believe I can get it when needed but it has taken years developing the right relationships. Slamfest is covered because it has always been covered and is probably on a yearly calendar for the media. District Championship matches are normally covered as well as Region and State. In the past you could get scores in by simply forwarding to the Leaf Chronicle Sports Editor. I even got a decent article about our youth tournament posted in ClarksvilleNow last year but it definitely helps to have friends providing the coverage.

There will be a Nashville Regional Training Center practice tomorrow at Beech HS in Hendersonville beginning at 10:00am. This will be a great opportunity to get middle TN's best youth and MS wrestlers together for a great combined practice. This will be great prep for the Minion Duals, Dixie Nationals and Region 3 Top 100.
