  5. The Nashville Regional Training Center (NRTC) will start having a weekly "Fight Night" this Tuesday. This first event will take place at the Clarksville High School Wrestling building from 6:30-8:00pm. The plan is to have a fight night each week and rotate the location all over middle TN. These events are designed for our very best elementary and middle school wrestlers. We want to keep this event rotational so all middle TN programs get a chance to host. We also want to prevent single programs from becoming a wrestling training monopoly. We are just starting to put together a training calendar. Team Clarksville will host the first event on the 15th. Let me know if your program would like to host one of these fight nights. We are hoping to hold one event each week on either a Tuesday or Thursday. Thank you, Dave Isbell 719 494-6685 or isbell_dave@yahoo.com
  6. Richview Middle School out of Clarksville TN won the 2nd Annual Richview Middle School Dual Tournament on Saturday. They had big wins over Blackman and Union County, KY in the Finals.
  7. There should be some good MS action tonight as Richview and Tullahoma both visit Blackman. The MTSU MS duals on Saturday should also be competitive as Spring Station will meet a number of Central Tennessee Wrestling Conference teams.
  8. Page is having a good year. I'm not knocking those other teams but I would say Page's most impressive victory this season is a criteria win against Spring Station. I believe Spring Station edged them out in a separate dual a few days later though.
  9. Christian Isbell from Richview was the lightweight MOW and Nick McClendon from Marshall County was the heavyweight MOW.
  10. Team Clarksville Wrestling Club is conducting sign-ups every Monday and Wednesday from 6:00-8:00pm. The location is the Clarksville High School Wrestling Building. Practice begins November 9th. Contact Dave Isbell for more information. isbell_dave@yahoo.com or 719 494-6685 You can also follow us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/teamclarksvillewrestling
  11. This sounds like a great opportunity for Chattanooga area kids.
  12. Camp begins this Friday at 5:00pm. All we need are names of who is attending right now. You can do the actual registration on site Friday from 4:30-5:00pm. We still have room for a few more.

  14. Don't forget about the Tennessee Wrestling Federation (USA Wrestling) online meeting today at 6:00pm Central time. I know it's scheduled for a terrible time during the TN football game but we need middle TN represented.

  16. This was a hot time to hold "fight nights" last year. I noticed on a post from a year ago that Blackman had 70 guys in their room this same week. Is no one having fight nights anymore?
  17. Who is holding them and on what nights/times?
  18. This was the toughest room of middle schoolers that I have ever sent guys to. Erik Burnett is an outstanding technician and I would recommend his camps to anyone.
  19. Are you tired of your kids wrestling the same kids from the same club? Head north this weekend and work with some of the best wrestlers in the country. Union County High School is less than 2 hours north of Clarksville, TN.
  20. Don’t miss the Fall Wrestling Camp this Saturday and Sunday at Union County High School in Morganfield, KY. Five 2-hour sessions with some of the best wrestlers from IL, OH, IN, KY and TN. Erik Burnett from Cleveland, OH is bringing a group down and he will also be a guest instructor. Lunch and dinner is provided on Saturday and lunch on Sunday. Camp price is $70. Some of TN’s best middle school wrestlers from Clarksville, Hendersonville, Knoxville, Pigeon Forge and Cleveland are scheduled to attend. There are only a few spots left open for this camp. Point of contact is: Jason Brown (270) 498-4662 or gavin11403@yahoo.com
  21. I guess some coaches and AD's that are looking/hoping for transfers could have the reaction you speak of. I think you will still have a lot of competitive programs that build their kids from the ground up. Programs that will win and take pride in the fact they won with homegrown kids.
