  1. TSSAA website has posted the GBB head position being open. Does anyone know what happened? Coach Miller out after one year. Any insight?
  2. how is the talent level for the next few years? Xan they compete for a championship with the right coach in place? How about admin support?
  3. Where is Coach Harlow now? Does he want the job? How much are the parents a factor? I know someone who CC passed on last year that would do a great job. What kind of support is there with the admin? CoachT, thanks for the comments, so many times what you hear is not the truth. What kind of talent does Tullahoma have for next year and the next few years?

  6. Coach Williams and Coach Pope are coaching collegues. When she left Cumberland she recommended him for the position and the administration didn't hire him. Not only did that hurt Coach Pope but hurt Coach Williams as well. I know she has great respect for Coach Pope and they stay in touch with each other. It doesn't surprise me that he wouldn't go into any details.....she wouldn't go into any details about him either. Coach Pope, Coach Benson, Coach Williams always had each others back when at MMC.
  7. I really do not believe it is a matter of something not adding up. Coach Williams did not interview until either Wednesday or Thursday of last week. The only possible hold back was that she has not been at the HS level. There seems to be a fixation on the no HS experience. It really doesn't make much sense to me. HS or college....the only thing she will have to become accustom to is the parents and speaking for myself, she would be business only with them. Brown-nosing is not something she likes or tolerates if you know what I mean. : )
  8. She has been in the private sector for the last few years. I remember that she lost her dad a few years back and coached for a while after that. I just think that she needed to take care of her family and herself for a while. I do know that she is still involved by giving instruction and remains involed in the game. She has had some offers the last few years but has turned them down because she didn't want to move her family out of state. I think that this is only one of a couple of HS jobs she has even considered. I do know that she is looking for a place that she can be until she can retire. Whether HS or college, someone is about to get them one heck of a coach. When I considered many of the great coaches out there that are very intense, whether HS or College, many of them have stepped back for a while and then came back better than ever. I don't believe the sabbatical from coaching has hurt her, I believe it has helped her. Great mind, great passion for the game, and she cares about her student-athletes success off and on the court. SHe doesn't put up with a lot of nonsense.
  9. I am new to Coach T, but as I was reading this message board there is some false information being genereated so I thought I would at least give all of you the correct info. Whoever said that Jana Williams is from Memphis is incorrect. She is a native Nashvillian. She was a graduate assistnt coach at MTSU a long time ago. Her experience is at the college level. She was an assistannt coach at the NCAA Division I level, and head coach at the Junior College and NAIA DIvision I level. I watched her coach when she was at Martin Methodist College and she turned that program around in 3 years. They went from bottom of the conference to winning the Eastern Division championship her 3rd year. Her ties to Coffee County are to Dale Alsup. She is a Belmont graduate and a member of their Athletic Hall of Fame. She still stands in the top 10 in many of their record books. Very intense coach...doesn't have the temper that M.D. had, but knows the game and would bring something special to CC. From what I understand Muckle has never been happy anywhere he has been. Maybe he hasn't found the right place. As for the other candidates, I have no idea. Thanks.
