This small division just got a little more interesting. St George beat JCS last night but the score did not reflect the game played. JCS was flat for 3-1/2 quarters and St George's Toney shots the lights out. JCS shot 3's late but much to late.

This list looks pretty good... I would take off Bradley in AA and Henegar in A though. Tyner has too many weapons for one player to get all of the accolades and Marion is having some troubles right now. Brandon Herman however is not having any problems at all... They got pasted by Tyner, but he still had 25 of the teams 53 points... I would add the DII to be Lyles or Glover as the finalist.

Move to DIIA for Jackson Christain appears to be a good move. Not taking anything away from them but they are off to a great start this year. Beating all the local small schools and Madison Acad. Defense is solid and pretty nice outside game. Pull out the win at Trinity and dominated USJ and Madison.

AAU coaches are looking during this time of year. I would suggest you put out the 411 on your child i.e. position, wt, ht, school he can be seen, average ppg, reb, assist, steals etc. There is not a lot of AAU ball in rural West TN. Memphis and Nashville has some of the best talent in the nation from 9U to 17U. Post if no one contacts you and i will give you some Memphis contacts. JodyJoe or Steve on these boards knows a lot about Mem Ball. mrob would be a contact for the Davidson County AAU circuit.

Saw him last night at Trinity. Very impressed. He had 20 something points. Played against much taller post players down low for the most part. his defense has improved from last year is what i noticed.

And I guess it is just completely random that he move to the State of TN projected State Championship Team. Don't make me laugh. The Parks family got money and that is what has happen. They use it to position Bobby Ray. They didn't win the State Championship at St. Georges DII last year and little parks was not going to get the looks this year that daddy thought he would need. So lets manipulate the system several ways. If moving out of state and transferring back in does not work we will break out the financial hardship card. Give me a break. This is very transparent and the TSSAA are a bunch of suckers and I think this should be investigated again.

So mrob or Steve jodyjoe if I move from Nashville to Olive Branch MS how long do i have to be enrolled at OB in order to decide to move back and played at "Better Basketball Team High School" in Tennessee.

He was at St. Georges last year. Why did he not set out a year. Or can someone tell me how to manipulate the system if I don't like the HS I go to without have to set out a year.

Scotts Hill has a few very undisciplined players that resulted in a bench clearing fight on the floor. Coach of Scotts Hill needs to get these issues reeled in. The so-called refs were awful. Summertown looked good as did the Bulldogs.

Lotta talk on these boards from EAST TN and Middle TN about their HS teams. I know West TN has got some teams and individual talent. Jackson alone has a power house in Liberty. Lets talk it up Liberty! JCS! JCM! Northside! USJ! Southside! TCA!. How bout you fans at DYER county. I know you are the most supportive fans around. Many Many others. I like to hear from you.

I am unsure of how Coach Russell has remained at this position as long as he has. Several years ago 6+, a family members had a son on the team and it was pretty much the same. I understand that USJ is not a Basketball school but more of a Football school and deservingly so. If you find where Mr. Russell's support on the board or booster club you will find that there are financial supports to the school attached more than likely. This private school and many others are operating very lean and doing anything that would cause loss of $$$ support or having to pay someone more money will not work. Mr. Russell is not going anywhere because if he was-- he would have 6 years ago because several parents tried to get him replaced. I would say to the Mojo man that your probablly not going to win this small little battle because basketball is not that important to the school administrations/board whether you win or lose basketball games.

Jody Joe I talked with JJ from Melrose last year when they came to Liberty for some Pre-season tournament. He told me that Tay TAy was playing with him but he had to let him go because of attitude problems. Hear that Jarnell Stokes is playing with the Bearcats out of Memphis. The class of 2012 is very strong across the state as I see it. Tay Tay Newby, Jarnell Stokes, Adam Weary, John Glover, David Howard, John Hudson, Vari Craig, Cameron the PG from Memphis. This would be an all-star team with these players.

Here are my nominations and numerous questions. Tay Tay Newby from BTW playing with the Y 15U travel team this summer is a one package do-it-all player. What is going on with the Memphis Select team 15U? Is Jarnell Stokes still with them? Are they still together. Who is EJ Miller (USJ) playing for this summer? Kendall Anthony is one awesome 1 player? John Hudson was playing with the Select also but again are they (Select) still together>Who is John Glover playing with this summer? Bobby Parks is great player also from St. George.

OK now what about the original question. Does anyone have any results. What players stood out? Heard Memphis Select was beaten by Iowa 15U but what about any details of the Tournament? What do the Celtics look like?

Congrats to Casey Prather from Northside for being named The Jackson Sun Player of the year and John Ross Glover from USJ being named, The Jackson Sun, Freshman of the year. Congrats also to all West Tennessee Basketball players and those chosen to 1,2,3 team and those making honorable mention. West TN has got some Basketball Talent!!!

The city of Hendersonville needs to take a hard long look at the upkeep during any tournaments. The fields were NEVER raked or line after the first game of the day in the USFA State tournament! The over facilities are ignored. I have been told this is the city issues and not USFA, USSSFA or ASA problem. I am hoping someone will bring this to the table before you sign the contract to have any tournament there.

Last year West TN Stars won the state and the WildThangs from West TN was runner up in the State championship and 3rd in WS in Orlando. I believe Impact and America Eagles had a good showing. I believe they have moved up to 14U. Who is going to be the best 12U team this year?
