  1. I agree with you, and have commented before on why the 2 sophomores didnt get more playing time.
  2. Quote "So much for what you know. Waverly beats sycamore by around 20 pts and harpeth took care of cheatham almost as easy." Waverly beating Sycamore was a gimme, those girls cant take that rough play. Harpeth beating Cheatham wasn't a gimme. Cheatham fell apart, I wasnt there but heard the girls came out cold in the second half, happens to the best of teams, Harpeth jumped on it. I listened on the radio, seemed to me the fouls were also pretty one sided. I say congrats to Harpeth, but Cheatham is still the better team. Just hard to beat the same team 3 times in a row. Good luck to all in the region. We shall see who advances from there.
  3. Looks that way Grendal. They also have the Wilson boy ( soph ) who can shoot the lights out but he doesnt have much size. A Freshman thats probably going to be as big as Monroe and Roper, needs a little meat on his bones, but is very aggresive, along with a couple of other boys who can handle the ball and are good outside shooters. The upcoming freshman ( this years 8th graders ) contain a quick little pg who can drill a 3, and runs the floor like he owns it, a post player who isn't "skeered" and puts me in mind of the Monroe boy the way he plays. He can move well, and can take the ball up with 3 boys on him. Also, another post player, who can play anywhere on the floor, he can handle the ball almost as well as a pg. As I said, the future looks good for HC.
  4. There you are Scrapman, I was getting worried about you, no posts since the HC game. Your boys played hard, heck of a game.
  5. Your'e right, srry bout that lol, but I do think the Lady Irish are only going to get better.
  6. These 2 boys definitely show alot of promise, along with the younger Featherstone boy. Monroe played a big game against McEwen in the regular season, Roper didnt get alot of playing time this year in varsity, but the JV games he and the Monroe boy controlled the boards, put up alot of points too. They can both shoot from the outside too. Hammond and Wilson can shoot the lights out of it, they just need floor time, along with the Plant boy, hes a hustle and bustle kind of player, kinda like the Barnes boy. HCs freshman class has some good players too, should be contributers next year. The upcoming freshman class has 2 very good post players in Nolen and Settles, along with a quick as lightning pg in the Wilburn boy. HC's future looks good.
  7. When I am wrong I will say it, and I was wrong. Cheatham blew up and Harpeth jumped on it. Congrats to Harpeth, hold your head high Cheatham, you had a great season. Put this behind you and look forward to your next game. Good luck to both teams. But a BIG congrats to Ms Lizzie Walker on being named MVP, and to all the girls who made all district and all tournament.
  8. Agreed, but I do think they could of been very very good ballplayers, not saying that they aren't now. But if you follow the game you know floor time makes or breaks a player.
  9. Did I hit a nerve there? /ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" />
  10. I dunnoooo I kinda like him, I remember the Ramey boys though.
  11. You know him pretty well? /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  12. I think Norfleet did try to play JC ball, but they told him, good as he was, he wasn't tall enough, just a rumor, nothing validated. And as to only playing 1 year, just think how good Skelton and Kizer would be if they had 6 years of floor time behind them.
  13. Dillards determination and leadership is what got HC thru the last 2 games, CA and WHH, when we got behind both games, He would do whatever he could to get the boys back up. Now, I know at times this year some HC fans felt like they were watching the Dillard show, he can really put the points up, but those guys came together in the last games of the year and looked like a team, with Dillard and Cooksey leading the way. I think, if he keeps playing and improving, we can add the Cooksey boy to the list in a couple of years.
  14. Wow, I had forgotten some of those guys. Nice list. You coming down for the game Saturday?
  15. Is he the one they called MiMi?
  16. What are the team entry fees? Is it ONLY 9U and 16U, or 9U thru 16U?
  17. We all need to get together, forget whose team is whose, and root 10A on. It would be great if any team out of 10A advanced. 'Course, I will be rooting for HC the loudest lol
  18. I disagree about Brian Skelton, but agree wholheartedly about Chad and Peter.
  19. Not so fast, Cascade has to get by HC. They are playing the best bball they have played all year. They aren't gonna give it to Cascade. They have quick guards, 5 big men, all who can play ball, and 3 point shooters off the bench. Should be a good game.
  20. You are wrong Sportsfan, HC will lose the Holland girl to graduation, but shes the only one. By the time Deason and Tolley are seniors, and Baggett, Nichols, Reynolds, Perry, and Torres are juniors, HC should be a force. These girls have played together since 6th grade.
  21. ummm...... throw punches? more info please?
  22. LOL, We are enjoying this too. Ok, 1 more question, this may be too personal. Are you kin to Eric?
  23. Okie Dokie, but I was talking about the younger players. Biased against Waverly......... If Waverly was all I had to worry about, then I would be carefree. I merely stated an opinion. And believe me, its shared. Get over it. You have your opinion, I have mine. And the responses have all come from Waverly fans, what do you expect? LOL
  24. Stop the feed inside, Get a hand in Malcolms face, haress their 3 point shooters, you can beat them.
